Maharashtra  has   secured first position in the country  in the implementation of  Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana . According to the statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has approved the installation of nine lakh 46 thousand four hundred 71 solar energy pumps in the states. A total of two lakh 72 thousand nine hundred and 16 solar pumps have been installed in the country. Of these, 71 thousand nine hundred 58 solar pumps have been installed in Maharashtra.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister  Bhupendra Yadav  said that   the recent meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES)  in  Geneva has proved to be very important for India’s wildlife and ecosystem conservation efforts. In a social media post, Shri Bhupendra Yadav said that in this meeting,  India’s name was removed from the category under review  regarding  trade of  Red Sanders species  of  red sandalwood trees. With this, farmers will now be able to grow more red sandalwood trees. He said that the Red Sanders variety of red sandalwood was listed under review of important trade process since 2004. It sanctions disciplinary action against trade in the Red Sander species by countries that do not meet their obligations. Red Sanders is a very valuable variety of tree, which is found in some districts of Andhra Pradesh. This species has faced threats from illegal logging and smuggling for a long time, due to which their numbers have started declining rapidly.

The program envisages planned urbanization through capacity building of urban local bodies as well as legal, regulatory and institutional reforms.

4 Center bans nine Meitei extremist organizations operating from Manipur for five years

The Home Ministry  has declared  nine Maiti extremist organizations  illegal  for a period of five years  . Most of these organizations   are active in Manipur . These organizations include the People’s Liberation Army and its political wing the Revolutionary People’s Front – RPF, United National Liberation Front – UNLF and its armed wing Manipur People’s Army – MPA, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak ​​- PREP. These include the K and its armed wing, the Kanglei Communist Party and its armed wing, the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup – KYKL, the Coordination Committee – CORCOM and the Alliance for Socialist Unity Kanglei Pac – ASU.

5 Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and his British counterpart discussed enhancing defense and security cooperation between India and the United Kingdom

External Affairs Minister  S Jaishankar  met  newly appointed British Foreign Secretary David Cameron  in  London  and held detailed discussions on realizing the full potential of the bilateral strategic partnership. The meeting came hours after British Prime Minister  Rishi Sunak  appointed  former Prime Minister David Cameron as his new foreign minister  in a dramatic reshuffle of his Cabinet ahead of the general election next year. Earlier, Jaishankar  met former British Prime Minister Tony Blair  and discussed bilateral relations, the situation in West Asia and Africa. It is known that Foreign Minister Jaishankar is on a five-day official visit to Britain with the aim of reviewing various aspects of bilateral relations and giving new impetus to friendly relations.

6 Prime Minister to launch PM PVTG Development Mission – especially for vulnerable tribal groups, on 15th November

 Taking a major step towards empowering tribal groups , Prime Minister  Narendra Modi   will launch PM PVTG Vikas Mission – specifically  for  vulnerable tribal groups –  on   November 15 . According to official sources,  a scheme of Rs 24 thousand crore  will be launched on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day  to ensure overall development of especially vulnerable tribal groups.  In the budget for the financial year 2023-24,  the Prime Minister had announced the launch of PVTG Development Mission. 75 particularly vulnerable  tribal groups  live in 22,544 villages in 18 states and union territories across the country. Their population is about 28 lakhs. These tribes are scattered and live in remote and inaccessible forest areas. The PVTG Development Mission aims to provide basic amenities like roads and telecommunication services, electricity, safe housing, clean drinking water, education, improved access to health and nutrition and sustainable livelihood opportunities to the families and settlements of such people. This scheme will be implemented with the cooperation of nine ministries.

7 42nd Indian International Trade Fair begins at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

The 42nd Indian International Trade Fair   is starting at Pragati Maidan  in  New Delhi . The fair  will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel  . The theme of the fourteen-day fair  is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam  , which emphasizes the importance of interconnectedness and cooperation in business for sustainable development and welfare of all. Bihar and Kerala are the partner states  in this fair this time   , while  Delhi, Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have been  given   the status of focus states . More than three thousand exhibitors from India and abroad will participate in the trade fair.

8 Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs signs MoU with Lean Campus Startups (Trust) and WEICI India to empower corporate and women entrepreneurs through  various training programs

Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA)  and  Lean Campus Startups (TRUST)  and  Women Entrepreneurs International Chambers of India (WEICI) India  signed   a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Manesar  ,  Gurugram . The MoU was signed by Dr. Lata Suresh on behalf of IICA   and  Mr. Umesh Rathore on behalf of Lean Campus Startups (Founder)  . The collaborative objective of IICA and Lean Campus Startups and WEICI India is to  empower corporate and women entrepreneurs and enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies in effectively setting up and managing a diverse workforce  . Lean Campus Startups in partnership with IICA will organize events for women entrepreneurs and students. The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is an institute established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) of the Government of India as an autonomous body to help in the development of the corporate sector in India through an integrated and multi-disciplinary approach. 9 Minister of State Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan chairs the inaugural session of the 33rd Conference of the WOAH Regional Commission for Asia and the Pacific in New Delhi

11 CJI DY Chandrachud inaugurates ‘Mitti Café’ in Supreme Court

Chief Justice  of India  DY  Chandrachud  along with other judges  inaugurated ‘Mitti Cafe’ in  the premises of the Supreme Court of India . The newly constructed café   is entirely run by disabled staff . The café manager is visually impaired and has cerebral palsy. 17 former cricketers Virender Sehwag, Diana Edulji and Arvind de Silva inducted into IIC Cricket Hall of Fame.

Former India  opening batsman Virender Sehwag,  former women’s Test captain Diana Edalji  and  great Sri Lankan player Aravinda de Silva have  been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame. International Cricket Council ICC announced their names. Sehwag is the first Indian player to  score a triple century twice in his Test career  . Edalji  has captained the Indian women’s team for almost three decades  and has taken 100 wickets in 54 international matches as a left-arm spin bowler. Sri Lanka’s  Aravinda de Silva led Sri Lanka to win the World Cup in 1996  . He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at a special ceremony during the first semi-final of the Cricket World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 15 November.
