1. PM inaugurates India Energy Week 2023 in Bengaluru

The Prime Minister  , Shri Narendra Modi  inaugurated  the India Energy Week (IEW) 2023  in  Bengaluru  . The Prime Minister  launched the uniform under   the ‘ Unbottled ‘ initiative of Indian Oil  . These uniforms  are made from recycled PET bottles  .  He also unveiled the  twin-cooktop model of IndianOil’s  indoor solar cooking system  and flagged off its commercial launch.  Later in the day, the Prime Minister also launched E-20 fuel  at 84 retail outlets of Oil Marketing Companies in  11 States/UTs in line with the Ethanol Blending Roadmap  . E20 means that the fuel 20% ethanol and 80% petrol  . He   also flagged off the  Green Mobility Rally , in which vehicles running on green energy sources would participate and help create public awareness for green fuel. India Energy Week  is being held from February 6 to 8 and aims to showcase India’s growing power as an energy transformation superpower.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s largest helicopter manufacturing plant in Karnataka, among other projects

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  on  February 06, 2023   inaugurated  a  helicopter factory  of  Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) at Tumakuru, Karnataka . A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense said that the factory would cater to all the helicopter requirements of the country. The greenfield helicopter factory, spread over 615 acres, is the largest helicopter manufacturing facility in India.

3. India and EU today set up three working groups under the EU Trade and Technology Council

India and the European Union  have  formed three working groups  under  the European Union Trade and Technology Council-TTC  . The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the TTC was launched by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during their visit to India in April last year. Under TTC, both countries will cooperate with each other in trade and important matters and will support each other in dealing with challenges related to trade, technology and security.

4. Portal of Yuva Sangam Program launched

In the first step, the business WhatsApp number will send a message to the customer booking an e-ticket to select the e-catering services by clicking on the link www.ecatering.irctc.co.in. With this option, customers will be able to book food of their choice from restaurants of their choice available at stations directly through IRCTC’s e-catering website without the need to download an app. In the next phase of services, the WhatsApp number will be able to become an interactive two-way communication platform for the customer, wherein the AI ​​powered chatbot will answer all queries on e-catering services for passengers, as well as book meals for them.

This online platform will provide a digital library of curated multi-format multi-lingual content. It will be a platform that will help extension workers to curate and deliver content to farmers in a timely manner. In addition, it will help in skill development of a vast network of extension workers for Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Livestock and Rural Livelihood Mission through certified online courses.

8. National School of Drama to organize 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav from 14 to 26 February

National School of Drama-NSD   will organize 22nd Bharat Rang Mahotsav-BRM from February 14 to 26 .  This will be the first festival after two years due to Kovid. According to India’s Forest Status Report 2021  , the  forest-covered area has increased to eight lakh nine thousand square kilometers , which is 24 percent  of the country’s total geographical area   . This shows an increase of two thousand 261 square kilometers as compared to the previous assessment in 2019. This was stated by Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey in a written reply in the Lok Sabha. The government also said that the country’s cumulative non-fossil fuel based electric power installed capacity stood at 174 GW in December last year. He said that under the Paris Agreement, India has committed to reduce the emission intensity by 45 per cent by 2030 from the 2005 level.

11. 25 airports of the country will be given on lease: General VK Singh

The Center has said that  14 airports are being operated by private operators under public-private partnership  . In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Civil  Aviation General VK Singh  said that  25 airports in the country would be given on lease . In response to another question, he said that so far 143 passengers have been placed on the no-fly list. This has been done on the recommendation of the aircraft internal committee regarding violation of instructions by crew members or not wearing masks.

12. Comptroller and Auditor General of India signs two MoUs with Tajikistan and Kazakhstan
