1. PM inaugurates India Energy Week 2023 in Bengaluru
The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the India Energy Week (IEW) 2023 in Bengaluru . The Prime Minister launched the uniform under the ‘ Unbottled ‘ initiative of Indian Oil . These uniforms are made from recycled PET bottles . He also unveiled the twin-cooktop model of IndianOil’s indoor solar cooking system and flagged off its commercial launch. Later in the day, the Prime Minister also launched E-20 fuel at 84 retail outlets of Oil Marketing Companies in 11 States/UTs in line with the Ethanol Blending Roadmap . E20 means that the fuel 20% ethanol and 80% petrol . He also flagged off the Green Mobility Rally , in which vehicles running on green energy sources would participate and help create public awareness for green fuel. India Energy Week is being held from February 6 to 8 and aims to showcase India’s growing power as an energy transformation superpower.

He said that under the Paris Agreement, India has committed to reduce the emission intensity by 45 per cent by 2030 from the 2005 level.
