The Competition Commission has imposed a fine of approximately one billion 36 million rupees for doing unfair trade in the Indian market on the online search site Google. Ordering the complaints filed in the year 2012, the commission said that the penalty has been imposed on Google due to mis-conduct. It was alleged that Google is misusing its strong position in its online search market with its activities and it has a bad effect on other companies. This penalty is five percent of the company’s earnings in India.

 

4.Policy Commission introduces health index for states; Kerala, Punjab and Tamil Nadu tops list :-

The Policy Commission has released a list of healthy progressive states. According to the list, Kerala, Punjab and Tamil Nadu are top in the field for better performance. While releasing the report in New Delhi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Policy Commission, Amitabh Kant has said that on the basis of annual growth rate, three states have been on top. Shri Amitabh Kant said that this table related to health is prepared on the basis of intensive study and data of World Bank and Health Ministry.

 

5.Under the Ujjwala scheme, 3 crore 36 lakhs of LPG connections were made available in the last 22 months :-

Under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme, in the last 22 months, three crore 36 lakhs of LPG connections have been provided. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said in New Delhi that 44 percent of these beneficiaries belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. He informed that in Uttar Pradesh, more than 66 lakh connections have been provided in Uttarakhand, 48 lakh in West Bengal and more than 46 lakh in Bihar.

 

6.Lok Sabha proceedings postponed, second phase of Budget session from March 5 :-

7.First play India School in Delhi, Haryana tops with 38 gold medals in first place :-
