The Government of India agreed to create a new High Court and on 30 April 1948 issued the Orissa High Court Order, 1948 under Section 229(1) of the Government of India Act, 1935.

The Chief Minister said that wherever the Jal Board has to supply water through tankers, the government will start water-ATMs. He said that apart from Khajan Basti, RO plants have started in Shakurbasti, Kalka and Jharoda under the pilot project in Delhi. Shri Kejriwal said that about 500 such RO plants would be set up in the coming days. Every person will be given a water ATM card, with the help of which he will be able to take 20 liters of free water per day. The Chief Minister said that there are many areas in Delhi which are densely populated and due to various reasons water pipeline cannot be laid in such areas. He said that this technology is being used for adequate supply of water in such areas.
