1 Prime Minister congratulated Andrey Rajoelina on his re-election as President of Madagascar

Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi  has   today congratulated Andrey Rajoelina on  his re- election  as the President of Madagascar . André Rajoelina is a Malagasy entrepreneur and politician who served as President of Madagascar from 2009 to 2014, after coming to power in a coup. He served as President again from 2019 to 2023 after winning the 2018 presidential election. Before his tenure as President, he served as Mayor of Antananarivo (2007–09).

2 COP28 President and Saudi Arabia officially launch the Oil & Gas Decarbonization-OGDC Charter

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber,  President of  COP28,  and  Saudi Arabia  have officially  released the Oil and Gas Decarbonization -OGDC Charter  . This is   being considered an important step in efforts to move rapidly towards global climate action . The OGDC, dedicated to the oil and gas sector, aims to support efforts to address the impacts of climate-related challenges. Currently, 50 companies accounting for more than 40 percent of global oil production have committed to OGDC.

3 Historic collaboration at ‘Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum’ at COP28, pledge of $5 billion for climate and nature

 The ‘ Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum ‘ at COP28 saw historic collaboration, as  the Green Climate FundAllied Climate Partners  and  Allianz Global Investors  pledged $5 billion  to advance climate and nature action. This platform is the first private sector participation  initiative of its kind within the COP programme  . It amplified the call for the private sector to engage in the COP process by bringing together more than 1,300 global business leaders and philanthropists. COP28 President,  Dr. Sultan Al Jaber  stressed the importance of leveraging the knowledge and resources of the private sector to tackle climate finance challenges. The Forum’s strategic partners include the International Finance Corporation, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Economic Forum, the Asian Development Bank, the Africa Finance Corporation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IDB Invest, with additional support from the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and XPRIZE. Market initiative is included.A delegation led by Sikkim Forest and Environment Secretary Pradeep Kumar has reached Dubai to participate in COP-28 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Forest and Environment Department of Sikkim said that the delegation will present and display the state government’s initiative Mero Rukh Mero Santi in the Indian Pavilion at COP-28.

4 World’s first portable hospital Arogya Maitri Ad Cube unveiled in Gurugram

The world’s first portable hospital  Arogya Maitri Ad Cube  was   unveiled in Gurugram . It   has been prepared with indigenous technology under the Bhishma Project . It has a pre-built  disaster management and support system  consisting of 72  detachable  boxes. Conditions resulting from gunshot wounds, burns, injuries to the head, back and chest, broken bones and excessive bleeding can be treated at this hospital. Minor operations can be done in this hospital. At least  200 patients  can be treated simultaneously in this hospital. These boxes are light and small and can be installed anywhere. In case of emergency, they can be dropped from the sky to the ground.

5 Manisha Padhi becomes India’s first woman Aide-De-Camp

Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi,  a   female  Indian Air Force  officer  from Odisha  , has been appointed as India’s first female Aide-de-Camp (ADC) in the Indian Armed Forces. With this, Manisha Padhi has become the first woman ADC of the country. Mizoram  Governor  Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati  has appointed 2015 batch Indian Air Force officer Manisha Padhi as India’s first woman Aide-de-Camp (ADC). Squadron Leader Manisha Padhi formally assumed charge of her post and reported to the Governor. An aide-de-camp (ADC) is a personal assistant or secretary to a high-ranking individual.

6 After the second week of December , devotees will be able to reach Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh by plane.

 Devotees from all over the world will be able to reach Ayodhya  in  Uttar Pradesh by plane after the second week of this month. Prime Minister  Narendra Modi will inaugurate  the grand  Shri Ram International Airport in the city  any day after the 15th of this month. Civil Aviation Minister  Jyotiraditya Scindia  reviewed the preparations for the under-construction airport in Ayodhya with  Minister of State for Civil Aviation –  retired General VK Singh  and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister  Yogi Adityanath . After the inspection, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the work on the international airport will be completed by the 15th of this month and any day after that the Prime Minister will dedicate it to the nation along with other development works in Ayodhya.

 7 Hornbill Festival begins at Naga Heritage Village ‘Kisama’ in Nagaland

The 24th edition of the  important Hornbill Festival of  the north-eastern state  of Nagaland began at  the Naga Heritage Village ‘ Kisama ‘. The United States, Germany and Colombia are the partner countries for this year’s festival   and  Assam  is the partner state. United States Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, British High Commissioner to India Ambassador Alex Ellis, Ambassador of Colombia to India Dr. Victor Echeverri Jaramillo and German Consul General Kolkata Barbara Voss joined as guests of honour. Celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity, this ten-day festival will see cultural and traditional performances by artists from all the tribes of Nagaland on one stage.

8 Literary program ‘Youth Literature’ organized on the second day of the book fair

 The literary program ‘ Yuva Sahiti ‘ was organized on the second day of the Pustakyan Book Fair  organized at   the Sahitya Akademi campus in the capital . Poets of Hindi, Maithili, Punjabi, Sanskrit and Urdu  presented their works in this program  . This book fair organized by Sahitya Akademi will run till 09 December. In which 50 stalls of Hindi, English, Urdu and other Indian languages ​​are set up.

9 Among the five states, Mizoram had the highest turnout of 80.6 percent.

 Among the assembly  election  states –  Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Telangana, Mizoram recorded the highest voter turnout of 80.6 percent each  .  Madhya Pradesh had  the highest number of candidates, voters, constituencies and polling stations .  In a unique initiative in  Kanker,  Chhattisgarh  , an Indradhanush model polling booth  was set up in Pakhanjur area. Most voters of third gender  live  in this area  .  Students in  Rajasthan  set up stalls showcasing the cultural heritage of the state including food, GI tagged products, wildlife and forts.

10 DGCA warns airlines against fake navigational signals

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)  has   issued an advisory to  Indian airlines detailing the incidents near Iranian airspace and the measures to be taken in case of fraudulent (fake) navigational signals   following the US advisory  .  Global Positioning System (GPS) spoofing is  ” the covert substitution of a genuine satellite signal that can cause a GPS receiver to provide false position and time output “. In its circular, the DGCA has provided comprehensive mitigation measures that include “developing contingency procedures in coordination with equipment manufacturers and assessing operational risks by conducting safety risk assessments”. DGCA has also provided a mechanism for air navigation service providers to set up “Threat Monitoring and Analysis Network” preventive and responsive to reports of GNSS interference.

11 Reduction in production and demand of pulses, oilseeds, fruits by the year 2030-31

 According to the report published by  the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD)  and  the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) , there  is likely to be a gap between supply and demand of commodities like oilseeds, pulses and fruits in the coming year. Therefore, there is a need to increase the level of production and productivity of oilseeds, pulses and fruits because there is a visible trend of increase in their demand in future. As per capita income increases, people’s consumption basket moves away from staple foods such as rice and cereals towards nutritious and high-value goods including fruits and vegetables and dairy products. Oilseed production is expected to increase to about 35 to 40 million tonnes (MT) by 2030-31, with the gap between demand and supply likely to widen to 3 MT by 2025-26. The report reiterates the recommendation of a 2012 report of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) to increase import duty whenever the import price of crude palm oil falls below US$800 per tonne to protect Indian producers. Is.

13 Amplify 2.0: Urban Affairs Ministry’s data initiative for Indian cities

The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs   is making  raw data of Indian cities available on a single platform  to academicians, researchers and stakeholders to help in data-driven policy making . The Amplifi 2.0  (Assessment and Monitoring Platform for Liveable, Inclusive and Future-ready urban India) portal was launched by the ministry three weeks ago  . The platform has successfully onboarded 225 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), data for 150 cities is currently available. However, a significant challenge in this process emerged in the form of lack of data maturity in cities. As a result, initially only 150 ULBs were able to share their data.

15 Foxconn announced to invest 1.5 billion dollars in India

Foxconn  , a major manufacturing partner of   iPhone  maker  Apple,  plans  to invest $1.54 billion in India  after boosting revenues in  the South Asian market . Foxconn said in a filing to the stock exchange in Taiwan that this investment will help it meet its operating needs. The announcement of this investment comes two months after the Taiwanese company made public its plan to double its workforce and investment in India by next year.

16 Arshia Sattar received French honor

Renowned writer and translator  Arshiya Sattar  has   added another feather to her cap by being honored with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters  by  the French government . This prestigious award was presented by Thierry Matthau, Ambassador of France to India, at a ceremony held at the Consulate General of France in Bengaluru on 28 November.

17 Growth rate of core sector industry 12.1 percent in October, 2023

 On the strength of  eight major industries in the country,  the production of basic sector increased by 12.1 percent in October this year as compared to the same period last year . The main reason for the increase in production   was low comparative base effect and double-digit growth in four industries namely power, coal, steel and cement . Basic sector output had recorded a growth of 0.7 percent in October 2022. The September figures were revised to 9.2 percent from 8.1 percent earlier.

18 MNCs approved to deploy advanced train collision avoidance system on Indian Railways

The Government of India has approved two multinational corporations,  Siemens AG from Germany  and  Kyosan Electric Manufacturing  Company from Japan, to deploy the Automatic Train Collision Avoidance System  known  as Kavach   on   Indian Railways . This marks a significant expansion of the initiative, which   was earlier launched by three Indian companies –  Medha Servo DrivesHBL Power Systems  and  Kernex Microsystems . Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced in New Delhi that the deployment of the Kavach system will increase from the current 1,500 km per year to 5,000 km per year by 2025-26. This substantial increase in deployment capacity is expected to enhance the country’s ability to implement indigenously developed open-source technology Kavach.

19 BCCI announces Indian team for South Africa

The Board of Control for Cricket in India  –  BCCI  has   announced the Indian team for South Africa . This series   will start from  10th December . Rohit Sharma   will lead the team in the test match series. KL Rahul  will   captain India in   one-day cricket matches . Suryakumar Yadav  will be the captain of the T-20 cricket team . The Indian team will play three T20, three ODI and then two Test matches in South Africa.

20 Rituraj Gaikwad becomes the fastest Indian to score 4000 runs in T20 cricket

Rituraj Gaikwad  registered a big record in his name  when he scored 7 runs in  the Raipur  T20 match  between  India and Australia . He has now   become the fastest Indian batsman to score 4000 T20 runs . He has touched this figure in just 116 innings. Earlier this record was in the name of KL Rahul. KL had completed 4000 runs in T20 cricket in 117 innings. Out of these 116 innings, Rituraj has played 100 innings in IPL and other domestic tournament matches, while 16 of his innings have come in international cricket. He has scored a total of 5 centuries in the T20 matches played so far. Ruturaj’s batting average in T20 cricket is 38+ and strike rate is 139+.
