1.35 years after Saudi Arabia lifted ban on cinemas :-

35 years later, the cinema will open to the common people in Saudi Arabia. Our correspondent said the  ” cultural economy development in the state, said Saudi Arabia’s Culture and Information Minister Awad Alawad This is an important step. He told that in the next 90 days the theaters will be given the LAsense for filming, and also said that the film’s performance should not be denied the Sharia laws and the moral values of the country. Under Vision-2030 some key steps are being taken to bring Saudi Arabia to the front of the world as a liberal economy. Women in this episode was given the right to run for the first time the car has been announced to lift the ban on cinema display under the same liberal policy ‘ .

 

2.Russia’s President Vladimir Putin ordered the removal of Russian forces from Syria in a phased manner :-

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has ordered the removal of the Russian army from Syria in a phased manner. During an abrupt visit to Syria, Mr Putin said that he has instructed the Defense Minister and the Army Chief about this.

Russia had first intervened in the Syrian conflict in 2015, and the terrorist group, with the Islamic State and other jihadist groups, targeted at the rebels and made air strikes.

 

3.South Korea imposed sanctions on North Korea :-

South Korea said that it has put some groups and individuals in the restricted list with the purpose of preventing funding for North Korean weapons program.

The South Korean government said that the ban against 20 North Korean groups and 12 individuals was effective from Monday.

After the North Korean missile trial on November 29, South Korea is at the forefront of countries with a new ban on it. The government said that he hopes that this move will encourage other countries to do the same.

 

4.Before the winter session, the government convened an all-party meeting on Thursday :-

The government has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday before the Winter Session of Parliament starting on Friday. The winter session will last till the 5th of the next month.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar requested all the parties, including the opposition, to cooperate in the smooth running of the proceedings so that the session could be done. During the session, the constitutional level bills of the backward castes, including three divorces, are expected to be discussed. This session will have 14 business days.

 

5.Widespread rainfall in many parts of northern India due to western disturbances; Improvement in air quality in Delhi :-

Temperature in many areas of northern India has dropped considerably. In the national capital Delhi due to rain occurring on Monday evening, there is also a decrease in pollution levels.

Himachal Pradesh has rains in several places including Shimla in the capital. Snowfall in the areas of Lahaul-Spiti ,  Kinnaur ,  Kangra and Chamba are falling. The Meteorological Department has issued heavy snowfall warning in some places of tribal districts.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the temperature has dropped below the rainfall. In Jammu, the temperature was recorded at 9 degrees below normal.

Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed down in the evening due to frequent rain and snowfall.

In Uttarakhand, even after the snowfall in rain and hilly areas in the lower plains of the Garhwal and Kumaun mandal, the temperature has dropped significantly. In Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department has projected more rainfall in the state.

 

6.Finance Minister Arun Jaitley assures that the public funds deposited in banks are safe and the FDRs are safe. The perceptions about the media are false and baseless :-

The Government has said that the public funds deposited in banks are safe and the proposed Financial Resolutions and Deposit Security Bill- F.R.D.I. The perceptions about the media are wrong and baseless. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in New Delhi on Monday that the government is committed to strengthening banking and financial institutions.

 

7.BJP won 14 out of 17 seats in the Trimbakeshwar municipal council elections in Nashik district :-

In Maharashtra, the Bharatiya Janata Party has won 14 out of 17 seats in Trimbakeshwar municipal council elections in Nashik district. BJP candidate Purshottam Lohgaonkar has been elected as the president of the body. The Shiv Sena has won two seats while the Independent candidate has won one seat.

 

8.Union Minister for Law, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurated “NIC-CERT” :-

Union Minister for Law ,  Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurated “NIC-CERT” under the National Informatics Center of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. CERT will protect against cyber attacks on government institutions.  

During the inaugural ceremony ,  Shri Prasad said that under the Digital India initiative the government has made many of its services online. He said that even though the online system has facilitated access to citizens to many government services ,  people should also be cautious about the hazards associated with cyberspace.

Mr. Prasad said that the recent rise in cyber attacks ,  which data concerns the theft have been increasing ,  making draft Government Data Protection Act to deal with it. He said that the internet is growing very fast and it is involved in every person’s life, therefore there is a need to strengthen the existing security structure.

 

9.Sensex plunged more than 150 points in the stock market due to declining trend in the third quarter :-

There is a trend of decline in the Bombay Stock Exchange today. In the third trading session, the Sensex dropped 179 points to 33 thousand 275. It was open at 33 thousand 361 with a fall of 94 points in the morning.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange also declined 61 points to 10,261.

In the foreign exchange market, the rupee weakened by 10 paise against the dollar. A dollar 64 rupee 46 paise was spoken

 

10.Pradeep Singh Khurla took over as Chairman, Managing Director of Air India :-

Senior bureaucrat Pradeep Singh Khurla took charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of the government aviation company Air India on Monday. He will replace Rajiv Bansal in the company.

The  1985  batch Karnataka Cadre IAS officer, Khurla, is going to take over the responsibility of Air India when the government is preparing its plan for disinvestment.

Earlier, he was Managing Director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited from February  2015  .

 

11.Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley held his fifth pre-budget consultation meeting on Monday with key economists in New Delhi :-

Several prominent economists attended the above budget pre-consultation meeting ,  including Dr. Rajiv Kumar ,  Deputy Chairman of the Policy Commission, Member of the Policy Commission and Chairman of Economic Advisory Council of Prime Minister (EAC-PM) Mr. Bibek Debroy ,  Finance Secretary Dr. Hashmukh excess , expenditure secretary AN Jha,  Secretary of Economic Affairs Shri Subhash Chandra Garg ,  Chief Economic Advisor Dr. Arvind Subramanian and President of CBDT Mr. Sushil Kumar Chandra were also present. Apart from these, other senior officials of the Finance Ministry also attended the meeting.

Many important suggestions were received by economists and other financial experts participating in the meeting. One of the major suggestions was that in the forthcoming budget, the government should continue to follow the path of fiscal consolidation and if there is any shortage due to any reason in achieving fiscal goals ,  then clarification can be given about it.

 

12.Sports Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore honored former Indian captain Gurudev Singh Gill :-

Sports Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore today honored former Indian captain Gurudev Singh Gill in New Delhi. Colonel Rathore handed over a shawl, insignia and a check of five lakh rupees to Mr. Gill, 67, for his outstanding contributions to Indian football. Gurudev Singh had captained the Indian football team in the 1978 Bangkok-Asian Games.
