1.Agricultural welfare campaign is being organized in 25 villages of each of the 111 aspiring districts between June 1 to July 31, 2018. Various activities related to enhancing agricultural income and promoting the best practices of agriculture will be organized under the Agricultural Welfare Campaign :-

Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare has started the Agricultural Welfare Campaign between June 1, 2018 and July 31, 2018 keeping in mind the vision of doubling the income of the farmers of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to 2022. Under this, assistance and advice will be provided to the farmers about improving their technology and income. The Agricultural Welfare Campaign is being run in aspiring districts in every 25 villages having population of more than 1000. These villages have been selected by the Rural Development Ministry according to the guidelines of the Policy Commission. In all the districts where the number of villages is less than 25, all the villages (more than 1000 population) are being covered under this scheme.

2.Distinguished writer and Gandhian thinker Rajkishore dies :-

Distinguished writer and Gandhian thinker Rajkishore died today in AIIMS in Delhi. He was 71 years old. For contribution to Hindi literature, Rajkishore was honored with several awards like Lohia Award and Hindi Akademi Litkar Award from Delhi. He has also written well-known novels like ‘Yours’ and ‘Sunanda’s Diary’. On his death, philanthropists, artists and journalists have mourned the person.

3.Finance Ministers of G7 countries asked to withdraw the decision to impose new fees on imports of steel and aluminum from USA :-

Finance Ministers of G7 countries have asked US President Donald Trump to withdraw the decision to impose new fees on import of steel and aluminum. In this meeting held in Whistler, Canada, Finance Ministers of G7 countries strongly criticized US Finance Minister Steven Manuchin on this issue. Canada said that the decision of the US has disappointed other countries. Meanwhile, US president Donald Trump tweeted that the US will not compromise on the issue of business interest.

4.Starting helicopter taxi service between Shimla and Chandigarh :-

Helicopter taxi service starts between Shimla and Chandigarh. Himachal Pradesh Government has started this service in collaboration with Pawan Hans Limited. In order to promote tourism in the state, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur today flagged off the helicopter taxi service and left Shumla’s Jubbarhatti Airport.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that in view of the demand of the people in the future, this kind of further increase will be increased. He said that soon Halley taxi service service will be started between Manali and Rohtang.

He said that such services would encourage tourism in the state. The 20-seater helicopter will be operated by Pawan Hans and this flyover will operate on Monday and Friday.

5.After 15th June the country will not have vehicles without pollution and fitness certificate :-

Insuring the pollution and fitness certificate vehicles without the June 15th can be costly for insurance companies. The government has asked insurance companies not to do third party insurance of any motor vehicle without fitness certificates and pollution control certificates. Pollution certificate for passenger vehicle insurance and both pollution and fitness certificates are required for carrier vehicle insurance.

6.To regret, In terms of environmental protection, India is at the bottom of the world :-

In the list of India’s 180 ranking countries, we are at 177th position. Bangladesh is ranked 179th. The foothills along with Burundi, Congo and Nepal are included. In the 2016 index, India was at 141th position. The continuous deteriorating health of the environment has pushed it down to 36 points and below. The University of Yale and Columbia, together with the World Economic Forum, issue these indices every two years.

7.Kim, before the trump talks, changes in military leadership of North Korea, Chol will be the new defense chief :-

Prior to meeting with US President Donald Trump, North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has changed the positions of his top three army officers. Kim and Trump may meet on June 12 in a conference in Singapore.

News Agency Yonhap informed the intelligence officials that No Wang Chola has been brought to North Korea’s Defense Chief Pak Yong Sik, while Rey Yong in place of General Staff Chief of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) Gill has been promoted. Rei Yong Gill was in charge of the post of general staff vice chief in the first KPA. Apart from this, Army General Kim Soo Gill has been appointed in place of Kim Jong Gak, Director General of the KPA’s General Political Bureau. 

8.GST will not be charged on the credit card bill :-

The Department of Revenue has clarified that if the credit card dues have not been paid on time, then the goods and services tax (GST) will be charged for delayed fees. At the same time, the bank will not be entitled to take GST on free services like withdrawal of money from ATMs and issue check book to customers. With this, GST will also be charged on the interest of the loan taken for the property. The Department of Revenue has been able to clarify the situation on the continuous question and queries on the issue of free services related to the purchase and distribution of banking, insurance and shares.

9.Pedro Sanchez sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Spain :-

Spanish socialist  Pedro Sanchez  was  sworn in as the new Prime Minister of the country by King Felipe  . He has replaced Mariano Rajoy.

Mr. Sanchez  sworn to protect  the  constitution of any Bible or the cross – this is the first time in the modern history of Spain .

10.India at the 113th place on the Childhood Index :-

According to Save the Children  “End of Childhood Index 2018”  ,  India  is ranked 113th  in 175 countries in terms of childhood threat as a result of poor countries, malnutrition, boycott of education, child labor and child marriage  . Child marriage in India has come down from 21.1% to 15.2% in 2017  .

India has gone three out of 116 last year, in which it has improved with a score of 754 to 768 on the scale of 1000 with 14 points. In the Singapore and Slovenia  Index, together with the figures of first place and Niger figures, they are placed at 175 at the end of the list.
