1.Nearly 200 people are expected to be killed after the destruction of underground tunnels after hydrogen bomb testing in North Korea :-

Nearly 200 people are expected to be killed after the demolition of underground tunnels after a hydrogen bomb test last month at North Korea’s nuclear test site at the nuclear test site.

Japan’s Asahi Television reported the North Korean sources that in the beginning, a hundred people came under the grip of the tunnel collapse. After this, the second part collapses and hundreds of people died during relief operations.

It is reported that during the incident on October 10, these people were engaged in the construction work of underground tunnels. On September 3, North Korea’s sixth nuclear test is being considered as the reason for the weakening of the tunnel.

 

2.Starting today, the 36th Sharjah International Book Fair -2017 :-

The 36th Sharjah International Book Fair is being started in Sharjah Expo Center.

This book fair will run till 11 November.

 

3.NCTE Government to bring Bill in Parliament for amendment in Act :-

The Union Cabinet has approved the National Teacher Education Council (NCTE).

Without the permission of the National Teacher Education Council Act, for the purpose of accrediting the universities and institutes running the teacher education program from the old date, the approval has been given to bring the Bill in Parliament.

Under this, all such universities and institutions will get accreditation till the academic session 2017-18 and the students studying in these schools will be able to apply for the post of teacher.

 

4.Competing Commission directed film workers ‘organizations and filmmakers’ associations to stop anti-business activities :-

The Indian Competitiveness Commission has instructed two film workers’ organizations, their colleagues and three filmmaker associations to stop anti-business activities.

Through an official release, this instruction has been given to the All India Film Employees’ Federation, the Western India Cinema Employee Union and its affiliates.

The Commission has also passed an order against the Indian Film Producer Association, Film and Television Producer Guild and the Indian Film and Television Producer Council.

The Competition Commission has found them guilty of violating competition rules by unfair contracts.

Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are celebrating their founding day. Various programs are being organized in the states in this celebration.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated on the establishment day of these states. In the tweets, Mr Modi said that Madhya Pradesh has made significant contribution in the development of the country.

6.Himachal Pradesh election campaign, Prem Kumar Dhumal becomes BJP’s chief ministerial candidate :-

Himachal Pradesh has reached the peak of the forthcoming assembly elections. In the Himachal Pradesh assembly election, Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal has been declared the BJP’s candidate for the post of Chief Minister.

BJP President Amit Shah announced this in a public meeting in Parakhard assembly constituency of Sirmaur district. After the BJP declared Mr. Dhumal as the Chief Ministerial candidate, the contest has become interesting in the current assembly elections.

In this hill state, now this fight has become Dhumal versus Virbhadra. In the state BJP has won more than 50 Assembly seats and has the goal of forming its own government.

 

7.CBI files chargesheet against 490 accused in the business scam :-

CBI files chargesheet against 490 accused in a special judge’s court in Bhopal in the business scam These include three officers of the business, 17 intermediaries, 297 question holders and test takers and parents of 170 test takers.

Apex letters are being filed in the juvenile justice case against 12 other accused. The CBI has also presented its findings before the court about allegations of tampering computer hard disk recovered by the Madhya Pradesh Police from the Vyastham office.

 

8.Gagan Dhawan arrested in bank fraud case over Rs 5,000 crore :-

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Gagan Dhawan, who was involved in the bank fraud case of more than Rs. 5000 crores by the Saadrasara Group, in Delhi.

In August this year, the Directorate had searched the residence of Gagan Dhawan in violation of foreign currency law. Dhawan is charged with whitening the black money of his companies in Ethiopia and some other countries. Dhawan is being seen as a close associate of former CBI director Ranjit Sinha.

 

9.E-filing extended deadline for filling income tax returns :-

The government has made the last date for filing income tax returns for the taxpayers who submitted the audit report through e-filing on November 7.

This date has been extended for the second time. A senior official of the Central Board of Direct Taxes said that the time limit has been extended at the request of some taxpayers.

 

10.93 cylinders for non-subsidized gas cylinders :-

The price of non-subsidized gas cylinders has risen by 93% from today. Now the price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 742, which was 649 earlier.

The price of subsidized LPG has also been increased by Rs 4.50 per cylinder. Now the subsidized LPG cylinder of 14 decimal two kilogram weight will be available for about Rs 496.
