1.Union Cabinet approves the establishment of the country’s first National Sports University in Manipur :-

Image result for Union Cabinet approvesThe Union Cabinet has approved the Ordinance for the establishment of the country’s first National Sports University in Manipur. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad said that this University is being set up as per the wishes of the Prime Minister to set up Sports University to promote sports in the North-East. Mr. Ravi Shankar said that Manipur is a state where children have done a lot of work in sports. Therefore, according to the wishes of Prime Minister, this work is being carried forward to promote Sports in the densely manner in North East and it will be the first sports university in India.

 

2.Prime Minister will visit West Bengal and Jharkhand on May 25 :-

He will attend the convocation of Visva Bharati University in Shanti Niketan. They will inaugurate the symbol of cultural relations of India and Bangladesh – Bangladesh Bhaban at Shanti Niketan. Prime Minister of Bangladesh Ms. Sheikh Hasina will be present on both occasions.

 

3.Sushant Singh will encourage two major steps of Rajput policy commission :-

4.INSV Tarini team was awarded the Women Power Award 2017 :-

Image result for INSV Tarini teamCentral Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi presented the prestigious Women’s Power Award 2017 to the team of INSV Tarini in New Delhi. All the members of the Tarini team are women. Team Member, Lieutenant Commander Vartika Joshi, Lt Cdr Pratibha Jamwal, Lt Cdr Swati Patrapally, Lieutenant Aishwarya Wodapatti, Lieutenant S. H. Vijaya Devi and Lieutenant Payal Gupta received the award from the Minister.

 

5.For the overall development of school education, the Human Resource Development Ministry :-

Image result for shri Prakash JavadekarUnion Minister for Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar, launched a comprehensive ‘Comprehensive Education’ scheme for school education for the first time in New Delhi, supporting the States at the higher secondary level from the School East. This scheme is a significant change in the concept of school education and in this ‘school’ is considered as continuation of school pre primary, upper primary, secondary and higher secondary levels.

On this occasion, Shri Javadekar said that according to the Prime Minister’s commitment to provide ‘education to all, good education’, the Human Resource Development Ministry has taken a historic step and has completely changed the existing scheme of school education so that school education can be completed by the school To be considered as continuation of pre primary, upper primary, secondary and higher secondary levels. The focus of the plan is to improve quality at all levels by integrating the Tea words – Teachers and Technologies of English. The meaning of the whole is complete and not the number of different parts. The nomenclature of this scheme is accurate because this plan looks at school education in a holistic way without distributing education of various levels.

 

6.Battalion level joint exercise of Indo-Nepal Sun-Kiran-XIII  :-

India and Nepal will participate in the joint military exercise Sun Kiran-XIIIfrom May 30 to June 12, 2018 in Pithoragarh . About 300 personnel from both countries will participate in military exercises. During this, the soldiers will share their experiences with each other.

Sun ray military exercise occurs twice in a year, which is organized in both countries in a sequential manner. India participates in training exercises with many countries, but according to the number of soldiers, Sun ray military practice is the largest. The aim of the Sun-ray military exercise is to jointly train the jawans keeping in mind the anti-terrorism operations in the mountainous region. During this military exercise, the soldiers of the armies of both the countries shared their previous experiences related to various counter-operations and counter-terrorism campaigns.

 

7.Union Cabinet approves four thousand mobile towers in Naxal affected areas :-

Image result for Union Cabinet approves four thousand mobile towers in Naxal affected areasThe Union Cabinet has approved the scheme compiled by the Compulsory Mandatory Services Fund for providing telephone service through 4,772 mobile towers in the affected areas of Naxalism. These mobile towers will be installed in 96 districts of ten states affected in such areas where mobile service is not available. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that this mobile network will be used by the security personnel deployed in Left-wing extremism areas. This will also encourage e-governance activities along with the pace of economic activity in the region. They said that this is the second phase of this scheme. In addition, the Cabinet has also approved the implementation of comprehensive Telecommunication Development project in the Meghalaya for the North Eastern Region. The project will cost more than 39 billion rupees.

Image result for USA asked two Venezuela diplomats to leave the country within 48 hoursThe US has asked two Venezuelan diplomats to leave the country within 48 hours. This has been done in response to the removal order against 2 top US diplomats from Caracas. This information was given by the Ministry of External Affairs. Washington had tightened the ban on re-election as President of Nicholas Maduro, after which Venezuela had ordered the top US diplomats to leave the country. Foreign Ministry spokesman Heather Knott said in a statement that the Maduro government declared Todd Robinson, in charge of the US Embassy in Caracas and Deputy Chief of Mission, Brian Naranjo, who was not required here. This action has been taken in response to the same.
