1 Uttarakhand Assembly passes Uniform Civil Code Bill

 In a historic decision,  the Uttarakhand government  passed the Uniform Civil Code-UCC Bill  in  the state assembly . Along with this, Uttarakhand  is the first state in the country to implement this bill.  has becomeThis bill was passed after a discussion that lasted for about ten hours in the Assembly. According to the provision in the bill, equal rights in property are given to son and daughter and children born in live-in relationship are also considered entitled to property. UCC will not apply to people belonging to Scheduled Tribe community. After presenting the bill in the House, the CM said that there will be no impact on the religious beliefs, customs, food habits, worship and dress of marriage in UCC.

Gujarat State Assembly  passed   a resolution to include the values ​​of Bhagavad Gita  in the curriculum  from classes 6th to 12th .  Gujarat Minister of State for Education Prafulla Pansheriya presenting the proposal  said that the government is committed to developing the qualities of truthfulness, harmony and tolerance in children from an early age. Shri Prafulla Pansheriya said that Bhagavad Gita is not limited to Hindus only but is considered a scripture for the entire human society. He said that through the philosophy of Geeta the students of Gujarat will be more enlightened and will help them achieve the vision of ‘Developed India @2047’. The opposition Congress also supported this resolution passed unanimously in the Assembly.

3 fair price shops join, for the first time, on Open Network Digital Commerce (ONDC)

 As a step towards Digital India ,  Shri Sanjeev Chopra  ,  Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution  , Government  of   India launched Fair Price Shops (FPS )  of  Una and Hamirpur districts  of  Himachal Pradesh  on  Open Network Digital Commerce (ONDC). on  -board  has launched a pilot initiative toThis pilot initiative was launched virtually in 11 FPS of Himachal Pradesh including 5 FPS of Una and 6 FPS of Hamirpur district. This is the first time that fair price shops have joined ONDC.

4 Two-day annual ‘Dosmoche Mahotsav’ begins with religious fervor in Leh and Likir in Ladakh.

The two-day  annual ‘ Dosmoche Mahotsav ‘ has begun with religious fervor   in  Leh and Likir  in  Ladakh . Dosmoche is an annual Buddhist monastery  festival in which  sacred mask dances of various deities  are performed by monks. Dosmoche Festival is the biggest annual prayer of Likir Math. Likir Monastery is one of the 16 major monasteries of Ladakh and belongs to Mahayana Buddhism. Dosmocha celebrated in Leh is organized by the villagers of Leh.

5 Election Commission today announced the new name for Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party faction.

The Election Commission  announced   the new name for Sharad Pawar  ‘s  Nationalist Congress Party faction . Now it has   been named Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar . The Election Commission had announced yesterday that the Ajit Pawar faction is the real Nationalist Congress Party. After this the Sharad Pawar faction was asked to submit new names for their political party.

6 Microsoft Chairman has announced that his company will train more than two million Indians by 2025 to enable them in artificial intelligence skills

Microsoft  Chairman and CEO  Satya Nadella  has announced that his  company will train more than two million Indians in artificial intelligence skills by 2025 . In an event organized in Mumbai, he discussed the cooperation being done between India and America on artificial intelligence. The Indian-origin Microsoft president said that artificial intelligence – AI can help in increasing the gross domestic product in the country. He described India as one of the markets with maximum growth. Expressing his views on artificial intelligence, Nadella said that it is a new powerful technology which needs to be rapidly disseminated in every part of the world.

7 Launch of mobile health service ‘Kilkari’ and mobile academy in Maharashtra and Gujarat to strengthen public health infrastructure

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare,  Prof. SP Singh Baghel  and  Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar  virtually    launched the Kilkari programme  , a mobile health (m-health) initiative for local beneficiaries in  Gujarat and Maharashtra . Also launched ‘Mobile Academy’, a free audio training course   designed to   upgrade the knowledge, sensitize and improve the communication skills of  Accredited  Social Health Activists (ASHAs) through their mobile phones. Went. Gujarat Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel was also present on this occasion. ‘Kilkari’ (meaning ‘echo of a baby’), is a centralized interactive voice response (IVR) based mobile healthcare service that provides information on pregnancy, delivery and child care from three months of pregnancy till the child is one year old. Free, weekly, time-appropriate 72 audio messages about care delivered directly to families’ mobile phones. Women who are registered in the Reproductive Child Health (RCH) portal on the basis of woman’s LMP (Last Menstrual Period) or child’s date of birth (DOB) can access the mobile number of pregnant women (women and mothers with children below one year of age) Receives a weekly call with pre-recorded audio content delivered directly to the phone. The chirpy audio messages feature the voice of a fictional doctor character named Dr. Anita. Currently Kilkari is available in 18 states/UTs namely Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar It is being implemented in the state, West Bengal and Uttarakhand. The mobile academy is operational in 17 states/union territories except Chandigarh in six languages: Hindi, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Assamese, Bengali and Telugu.

8 Country’s largest Bapu Tower ready in Patna

The country’s first largest Bapu Tower   dedicated to  Mahatma Gandhi  has been completed in Patna, Bihar . For this, the building construction department and construction agency are finalizing the preparations.  Bapu Tower is located in Gardnibagh , Patna  . The height of this tower is 120 feet. This is a 6 storey tower. This is considered to be the dream project of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. In Bapu Tower, tourists will get parking facility for 50 four-wheelers and 150 two-wheelers inside the complex. Where Bapu’s biography will be shown to the tourists through a turntable theater show on the ground floor. After this, tourists will be able to see the history of Bapu while roaming in the circular and rectangular buildings. An exhibition related to the history of Gandhiji and Bihar is being organized in this tower at a cost of about Rs 45 crore.

9 Upendra Dwivedi made Vice Chief of Army Staff

Vice Army Chief  Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar  has   been appointed as the new commander of the Northern Army .  He succeeds  Lieutenant General  Upendra Dwivedi , who  is moving to the Army Headquarters as Vice Chief of Army Staff . Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi has been appointed as the next Vice Chief of the Army. He is currently heading the Northern Army Command and will take charge on February 15.

11 PT Usha given lifetime achievement award by SJFI and DSJA

Legendary sprinter and current president of  the Indian Olympic Association (IOA)  PT Usha was honored with  the prestigious ‘ Lifetime Achievement ‘ award. This honor was presented to him by the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) and Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA) in recognition of his exceptional contribution to Indian athletics. The awards ceremony saw the presence of notable personalities including Rajya Sabha member and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajiv Shukla and former Indian shooter Jaspal Rana among the guests of honour.

This recognition puts Ambani ahead of famous global leaders like Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai, Tim Cook and Elon Musk. Brand Finance’s survey gave Mukesh Ambani an impressive Brand Guardianship Index (BGI) score of 80.3. That’s just below China-based Tencent’s Huateng Ma’s leading score of 81.6. BGI uses a balanced scorecard, which emphasizes the CEO’s ability to act as a steward of his or her company’s brand and long-term value.

13 CDS Anil Chauhan unveils book on AI, National Security

Chief of Defense Staff (CDS)  General Anil Chauhan made an important announcement at the Defense Literature Festival, “ Kalam and Kavach ”  , in Pune . He unveiled a ground-breaking book titled ‘ Artificial Intelligence and National Security ‘, which is a significant moment in blending India’s rich cultural heritage with contemporary national security strategies. In his address, CDS Chauhan highlighted the relevance of ancient Indian strategies like Sun Tzu’s ‘Art of War’ and Kautilya’s ‘Arthashastra’ in the context of modern warfare. Despite debate over their applicability in an era dominated by artificial intelligence and nuclear warfare, CDS Chauhan advocated a balanced approach.

15 The final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be held at MetLife Stadium in New York City.

The much-awaited  FIFA World Cup 2026   is being co-hosted  by the United States, Canada and Mexico , with New York’s MetLife Stadium  chosen as the venue for the final on   July 19  . The 2026 FIFA World Cup  will kick off on June 11 at  the iconic  Azteca Stadium in  Mexico City . With an expanded format of 48 teams, the competition promises an additional 24 matches, taking a total of 104 games across 16 venues in the host countries.
