1. Indian Army set up Kovid Management Cell to coordinate assistance to civilian authority
The Indian Army has set up a Covid Management Cell to coordinate with the assistance of the Civil Authority . The cell will function under the level of Director General, who will report directly to the Deputy Chief of Army Staff. This will help with greater efficiency in tackling the problem of exceptional growth in the number of Kovid patients across the country including Delhi. Civil administration is already being assisted in Delhi. Under this, investigation, recruitment in military hospitals and transport of important medical equipment is being done. The Army is also playing a leading role in dealing with the situation of Kovid at the national level. A large number of medical resources have been provided at five Kovid hospitals operated or established in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Varanasi and Patna to assist the civil administration.

3. The Center made it mandatory for all states and UTs to issue disability certificates online.
The center has made it mandatory for all states and union territories to issue a certificate of disability online from next month . This certificate will be issued only using the specific disability identification portal. The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has issued a gazette notification in this regard. The Health Department of the States and Union Territories and the Department concerned with Disability matters have been advised to take immediate steps to ensure compliance with this notification. This step will ensure online process to simplify the process of providing all-India validity of disability certificate and benefits to the differently-abled.
4. Department of Space provided Kovid related assistance and mainly liquid oxygen in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the Department of Space has expanded beyond its scope to provide Kovid related support and mainly liquid oxygen in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Chandigarh . ISRO Chairman Dr. K Sivan said in the online review meeting that Tamil Nadu and Kerala are being given nine and a half tonnes of liquid oxygen per day. 87 tonnes of liquid oxygen produced in ISRO’s premises have already been supplied to Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Department of Space is also supplying oxygen cylinders to local people in Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
5. A special Kharif strategy is prepared to achieve self-sufficiency in the production of pulses.
The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a special Kharif strategy for the upcoming Kharif 2021 season to achieve self-sufficiency in the production of pulses . Under this, to increase the sowing area of pulses crops, seeds of high yielding varieties available in central seed agencies or states will be distributed free of cost. It is proposed to distribute more than 20 lakh mini kits of seeds for the upcoming Kharif 2021 at a cost of about 82 crores . This number is 10 times more than the previous year. The central government will bear the cost of these mini kits distributed to increase production and productivity of tur, moong and urad .

22. The center has provided more than 17 crore 15 lakh covid vaccine to the states and UTs free of cost.
