i) Implementation of Integrated Plan ‘Atmosphere and Climate Research – Modeling Ableaving Systems and Services’.

ii) Continuation of sub-schemes during 2017-20.

iii) Establishment of National Facilitation for Airborne Research (NFAR)

Under the Chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved nine sub-schemes of Integrated and Climate Research – Modeling Ablegging Systems and Services (ACROSS) in Virar from 2017 to 2020 at an estimated cost of 1450 crores. During its tenure, it has given its approval to continue. His Ministry of Earth Sciences will implement the implementation of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), National Center for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMWWF) and Indian National Ocean Information Service Center (INCOIS) through its institutions. The Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs also gave its approval for setting up of National Fisheries for Airborne Research (NFAR) with a financial commitment of Rs. 130 crores during the period 2020-21 and beyond.
