1.With the help of Japan, the startup hub will be developed in Bengaluru :-

The government will develop a startup hub in Bengaluru with the help of Japan. Apart from this, Japan has also proposed to help India prepare a system similar to its own country in the matter of cyber security. Both the countries have agreed to further discussions on the proposal to promote electric vehicles.

Japan’s Finance, Trade and Industry Minister Hiroshige Sekko, along with a delegation on Tuesday, first met with Union Power Minister R. K. Later in the meeting with Singh and later Union Electronic and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. In both the meetings, there was a discussion on mutual cooperation and working together in areas of common interest.

2.In March 2018, foreign currency earnings registered an increase of 17.9% compared to March 2017 :-

On the basis of credit data of travel item balancing the Reserve Bank of India, the tourism ministry estimates monthly foreign exchange earnings (FEE) in rupees and dollars through tourism in India.

The following are the main features of forex earnings estimates from tourism in India for March 2018:

Foreign exchange earnings from tourism (in rupees) –

In March 2018, foreign exchange earnings stood at Rs 17,294 crore as against Rs 12,985 crore in March 2016 and Rs 14,667 crore in March 2017.

Compared to March 2017, foreign exchange earnings growth rate of 17.9% was in March 2018, whereas in March 2017 it was 13.0% higher than March 2016.

During January-March 2018, Foreign exchange earnings increased by 15.6% to Rs. 52,916 crore, compared to Rs. 45,819 crore in January-March 2017, with a 13.6% increase over January-March 2016.

Forex earning from tourism (in dollars) –

Foreign exchange earnings were $ 2.65 billion during March 2018 compared to $ 1.938 billion in March 2016 and $ 2.224 billion in March 2017.

Compared to March 2017, foreign exchange earnings growth was 19.6% in March 2018, compared to March, 2017, which was 14.8% higher than March 2016.

During January-March 2018, foreign exchange earnings increased by 20.4% to US $ 8.228 billion, compared to $ 6.833 billion in January-March 2017, with a 14.4% increase over January-March 2016.

 3.Major General Annakutibabu takes charge of ADG, MNS   :-

Major General Annakutibabu took over as Additional Director General , Military Nursing Service (MNS) . He took over from Major General Elizabeth John , who retired yesterday. He is a resident of Kuthtkukulam in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.

Due to being born in a peasant family, he inherited the value of compassion and hard work from his parents. Prior to this appointment, he was working as Principal Matron in Army Hospital Research and Referral. With its extensive expertise , positive leadership and vision, they are able to establish excellent standards in patient care.

4.GST revenue collection in April 2018 more than Rs 1 lakh crore  :-

Gross GST (commodity and service tax) revenue collection in April, 2018 together totaled Rs 1,03,458 crores, including CGST of Rs 18652 crores, SGST of Rs 25,704 crores, IGST of Rs 50548 crores (including 21246 crores collected on import) ) And Rs. 8554 crores of cess or cess (including Rs. 702 crores collected on import). In respect of 87.12 lakh people, for the month of April 30, 2018, a total of 60.47 lakh GSTR 3B returns were filed for the month, which are eligible for filing returns for the month of March and reflecting the figures of 69.5 percent.

5.On the issue of 9th India-Japan Energy Dialogue in New Delhi, on energy security, access to energy and climate change :-

9th India-Japan Energy Dialogue concludes today in New Delhi Minister of State for Energy and New and Renewable Energy (Independent Charge) Shri R. K. Singh and Japan’s Economic, Trade and Industry Minister Hiroshige Sekko signed a joint statement after the meeting was concluded.

Japan and the 7th economic power of the world, India realized that access to credible, clean and economical energy is essential for their economic development and to achieve this, both the Ministers will focus on bilateral energy cooperation for the energy development of the two countries. And agreed to strengthen The two countries also agreed to contribute to the issue of world energy security, access to energy and the issue of climate change.

6.India and Nepal agree to review the Trade Treaty by July this year :-

India and Nepal have agreed to review the mutual trade treaty. The meeting of the Intergovernmental Panel of the two countries in Kathmandu last week was decided on getting control of trade, transit and unauthorized trade. Both countries have agreed to start a comprehensive review of the treaty by July this year. Earlier it was amended in 2009.

7.The International Airport Council estimates the number of air travelers in the world to be ranked second in the world :-

India has been considered as the fastest growing country in the world in air passenger transport. The International Airport Council estimates that in terms of the number of air travelers, by 2022, countries with emerging economies like India will leave behind developed countries.

The council has placed Vietnam in the first place, where the growth rate of the air travelers is 8 decimal 5 percent. With 7 decimal 5 percent rate, India is third on the second and 7 decimal 3 percent rate. The latest report of the Council states that between 2017 and 2040, the good growth rate in the Asia-Pacific region will continue and the passenger transport growth rate will be 38 percent 8 percent.

 8.Bangalore beat Deccan Chargers, beat Mumbai Indians by 14 runs :-

The 31st match of the IPL 2018 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore was played between Mumbai and Bangalore. The defeat of Bangalore in this match was broken and Mumbai Indians won by 14 runs. In this win Bangalore, the team’s bowlers have a great role to play. Team Southee was chosen Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling. Following the win in this match, the ICB has scored six points and it has moved to fifth position in the points table.

9.Facebook data leak case: UK lawmakers threaten to issue summons to Zuckerberg :-

British MPs have threatened to release formal summons after Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg refusing to appear in the data leak case. Last month, the US Congress had asked Zuckerberg to appear in Parliament, but Zuckerberg did not come to answer questions raised by the House of Commons Culture and Media Committee. Instead, an officer was sent to answer the questions.

10.Sensex rises 107 points to 35268, shopping in auto shares :-

 On Wednesday, the Indian stock market is open with a rise. The main index Sensex has gained 107 points at the level of 35268 and the Nifty is trading 68 points with a gain of 68 points at the level of 10806. On the National Stock Exchange, the mid-cap index gained 0.02 percent and the smallcap 0.29 percent.
