1.Google Wing launches first home delivery drone service:-

Wing, owned by Google’s parent company Alphabet, will deliver takeaway food, coffee and medicines by drone to about 100 homes in Canberra.It has been testing its drones in Australia since 2014 but many residents had complained about the noise.Australia’s aviation authority gave Wing permission to launch a commercial service after examining its safety record and operational plans.

2.London becomes the first city to implement 24×7 pollution charge zone:-

London became the first city in the world to implement a special Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).The ULEZ would charge an entry fee for older vehicles if they do not meet the emission standards.In an attempt to reduce air pollution and protect public health, the ULEZ will be operational for 24 hours and seven days a week.Motorists who drive into the zone in a vehicle that does not meet the new emission standard will have to pay a daily charge.

3.SUN Group chairman Vikramjit Sahney names as the new president of ICC India:-

SUN Group Chairman Vikramjit Singh Sahney elected as the new president of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – India.He will succeed in Jawahar Vadivelu.The International Chamber of Commerce is the largest, most representative business organization in the world.

4.SpaceX carries out first commercial launch with Falcon Heavy rocket:-

In United States, SpaceX has carried out its first commercial launch with its Falcon Heavy rocket tasked with placing a Saudi satellite in orbit. The bright white rocket rose with a mighty roar and spewed thick gray smoke on the ground as it made its way up into clear blue skies over Cape Canaveral, Florida last night.SpaceX said the rocket exerts 5.1 million pounds of thrust – that of more than a dozen jetliners. 
The rocket is to carry a Saudi Arabian satellite operated by Arabsat, a year after sending founder Elon Musk’s red Tesla roadster into orbit as a test. The Falcon Heavy had been scheduled to lift off from the Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday but was delayed because of fierce winds in the upper atmosphere.

5.Indo-Singapore joint training exercise ‘Bold Kurukshetra’ concludes:- 

The 12th Combined Military Practice ‘ Bold Kurukshetra-2015 ‘ was concluded today ( April 11 , 2019) between India and Singapore . The closing ceremony was held at the Babina Military Station. Four-day military exercises focused on developing mutual and joint strategic warfare practice in mechanical warfare. The troops received information about each other’s organizations and best practices.Inspecting officers addressed the troops and congratulated them for their participation in the success of practice. Military teams from both countries have gained important information.

6.India to be Guest of Honour country at ADIBF 2019:-

UAE has announced that India will be the Guest of Honour country at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF 2019, to be held from 24th to 30th of this month. The fair aims to highlight the UAE’s rich heritage, showcasing its authenticity and modernity, as well as its cultural and literary output.India’s participation in the fair is expected to attract significant increase in the number of visitors with various events and activities which will be held throughout the entire duration of ADIBF.The Indian Pavilion will host Indian writers, authors and literary scholars who will serve as ambassadors for the literature and art of their country.Undersecretary of Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, Saif Saeed Ghobash said, India’s selection as the Guest of Honour at the book fair underscores the deep ties between India and the Arab world and the long-standing UAE-India relationship. He said, India’s power is not limited to its economy or its universally admired film industry, there is great strength in itscultural output, boasting as it does some 16,000-plus publishers.
 Director of ADIBF, Abdullah Majed Al Ali, said, the book fair will celebrate India, with its authentic culture, arts, heritage and knowledge-based traditions.the strengthening ties between the two countries once again get reflected in India being selected as the Guest of Honour at the prestigious 29th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.  According to Ambassador Navdeep Suri this is truly a golden era in India UAE relationship.  Indians in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) constitute the largest part of expat population of the country.  India’s participation in the fair is expected to attract significant number of expats to the Fair. A number of activities embracing the fields of literature, culture, and art are expected to engage the audience.  India’s participation will also provide a chance for investors wishing to explore and capitalize on opportunities offered by Indian groups and publishers that are present in the Gulf region.  The Indian Pavilion will host writers, authors and literary scholars who will serve as ambassadors for the literature and art of their country.

7.In the permanent mission of India in the United States, the ‘Navnmeshi Vichar’ fresco painting exposed:-

An innovative murals are constructed on the wall of the premises of India’s permanent mission in the United Nations, in which mention of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, environment-safe employment, international labor organization (ILO) centennial celebration and NASA documents In which efforts have been made to make India’s world greenest. 
This murals have been made by French artist Victor Ash of Portuguese origin. This murals are made with the ILO and non-profit organization ‘Street Art for Mankind’. 
In this mural painting, Green India is shown on the helicopter of the airplane floating in space. There is a picture of Mahatma Gandhi on the left hand space space of astronaut, which is written 150.

8.Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to become Prime Minister for the fifth time in Israel:-

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel is set to be chosen for his historic fifth term. His main competitor, Bobby Gantz, has accepted the defeat. Almost all the votes polled on Tuesday have been counted. Officially the final result is likely to come later today.

Indian captain Virat Kohli was named the ‘Leading Cricketer in the World’ for the third time in a row in this year’s edition of the Wisden Cricketers’.This is the third time in a row that the Indian captain gained this title.Smriti Mandhana was the Leading Cricketer in the women’s game.Kohli also won the ICC’s cricketer, test and one-day international player of the year awards in January 2019.

10.India has the second largest ecosystem of startup in the world:-

India has the second largest ecosystem of startup in the world. The average age of the founders of these startups is only 31 years. A young representative of India has given this information in the United Nations.

India’s young representative Seema Pujani said in a roundtable session in ‘Looking to the Future: A Dialogue on the High Level Political Forum Summit’ in the EcoSoc Youth Forum that the young population of India is creating great stories of success. He said that now India has the world’s second largest startup ecosystem.Pujani said that with an average age of 29 years India is one of the youngest countries in the world. Being a bigger shareholder in the country’s voters, the young population has the ability to influence policymaking. The average age of the founders of startup in the country is just 31 years. The youth government in the country is creating a new alliance between civil society, companies and academia, which is important for achieving sustainable development goals.

11.India’s population grew at a 1.2 % average annual rate between 2010 and 2019: UN report:-

India’s population grew at an average annual rate of 1.2 per cent between 2010 and 2019, according to a report by the United Nations Population Fund.It is more than double the annual growth rate of China India’s population in 2019 stood at 1.36 billion.In comparison, China’s population stood at 1.42 billion in 2019.China’s population grew at an average annual rate of 0.5 per cent between 2010 and 2019

12.HDFC AMC ranks first, ICICI AMC second in terms of assets:-

HDFC Asset Management Co. Ltd has claimed the top spot with an average AUM of 3.42 trillion.It overtook ICICI Prudential Asset Management Co. Ltd with an average AUM of at 3.20 trillion.India’s asset management companies (AMCs) own assets under management (AUM) worth 24.46 trillion, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi).
