1.अरुण जेटली ने भारतीय नौसेना को एलआरएसएएम सौपीं :-
रक्षा मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने भारत डायनामिक्स लिमिटेड (बीडीएल) में भारत और इस्राइल द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से विकसित लंबी-दूरी वाली सतह-से-वायु में मार करने वाली मिसाइल (एलआरएसएएम) को भारतीय नौसेना को सौंप दिया।
एलआरएसएएम, हवाई लक्ष्यों और मिसाइलों के खिलाफ एक उन्नत मिसाइल रक्षा कवच है, तथा हवा और सतह की निगरानी, खतरे की चेतावनी एवं आग नियंत्रण की पूर्ण क्षमता रखता है।
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की भारत डायनामिक्स लिमिटेड तीनों सशस्त्र बलों के लिए मिसाइल बनाने वाली एजेंसी है।
अरुण जेटली द्वारा हैदराबाद के निकट स्थित बीडीएल के इब्राहिमपत्तनम कॉम्प्लेक्स में अत्याधुनिक और रक्षा उत्पादन इकाई के लिए अपनी तरह का पहला, रॉकेट मोटर स्टेटिक टेस्ट सुविधा, देश को समर्पित किया गया।
Arun Jaitley Hands Over LRSAM to Indian Navy :-
Defence Minister Arun Jaitley handed over the Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (LRSAM) jointly developed by India and Israel, to the Indian Navy, at Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) here.
LRSAM is an advanced combat suit for missile defence against air targets and missiles, and has full capabilities of air and surface surveillance, threat alert and fire control.
Public sector BDL is the missile production agency for the three armed forces.
State-of-the-art and first of its kind for a Defence production unit, the Rocket Motor Static Test Facility was dedicated to the nation by Arun Jaitley at BDL’s Ibrahimpatnam Complex located near Hyderabad.
2.कोलंबो में दो दिवसीय भारतीय महासागर सम्मेलन :-
विदेश मंत्री (विदेश मंत्रालय) सुषमा स्वराज कोलंबो में होने वाले दो दिवसीय भारतीय महासागर सम्मेलन (आईओसी) में भाग लेंगी।
शांति, प्रगति और समृद्धि के विषय पर आधारित आईओसी 2017 सम्मेलन में श्रीलंकाई प्रधानमंत्री और राष्ट्रपति अहम वक्ता होंगे।
दिल्ली स्थित थिंक टैंक इंडिया फाउंडेशन शोध और अध्ययन केंद्र आरएसआईएस सिंगापुर और एनआईएफएस कोलंबो के साथ मिलकर आईओसी 2017 की मेजबानी करेगा।
पहले सम्मेलन का आयोजन पिछले साल सिंगापुर में किया गया था जिसकी मेजबानी सिंगापुर, श्रीलंका और बांग्लादेश के थिंक टैंक ने की थी।
सम्मेलन में संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, ऑस्ट्रेलिया और जर्मनी के अधिकारी भी भाग लेंगे।
Two-Day Indian Ocean Conference in Colombo :-
Minister of External Affairs (MEA) Sushma Swaraj will participate in the two-day Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) scheduled to be held at Colombo.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister and President are among the key speakers at the IOC event on the theme of “Peace, Progress and Prosperity”.
Delhi-based think tank India Foundation will host the IOC 2017 in collaboration with Research and Learning Center RSIS Singapore and NIFS Colombo.
The first was held in Singapore in 2016 in partnership with think tanks from Singapore, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The conference will also be attended by officials from the USA, Australia and Germany among others.
3.वस्त्र मंत्रालय पैन इंडिया शिविर लगाएगा :-
वस्त्र मंत्रालय हस्तकला सहयोग शिविर पहल के अंतर्गत हथकरघा और हस्तशिल्प समूहों के पैन इंडिया शिविरों का आयोजन करेगा। इन शिविरों का आयोजन 7 अक्तूबर से 17 अक्तूबर, 2017 के दौरान किया जाएगा।
यह पहल पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय के जन्मशती वर्ष, पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय गरीब कल्याण वर्ष को समर्पित है।
इन शिविरों में, मुद्रा स्कीम के जरिये ऋण सुविधा, हथकरघा संवर्धन सहयोग के तहत तकनीकी उन्नयन के लिए सहायता और आधुनिक उपकरणों का वितरण सहित कई सेवाएं बुनकरों और कारीगरों को प्रदान किया जाएगा।
Ministry of Textiles to Organize Pan India Camps :-
Ministry of Textiles has decided to organize Pan India camps in handlooms and handicrafts clusters, under the initiative -Hastkala Sahyog Shivir. The camps will be organized during 7th to 17th of October.
This initiative is dedicated to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garib Kalyan Varsh, the birth centenary year of Pandit Deendayal Upadhayay.
In these camps, services including credit facilities through MUDRA scheme, assistance for technological upgradation under Hathkargha Samvardhan Sahayata and distribution of modern tool kits and equipments will be provided to the weavers and artisans.
4.INCOIS ने ओसियन पूर्वानुमान प्रणाली प्रारंभ किया :-
पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय के इंडियन नेशनल सेंटर फॉर ओसियन इन्फॉर्मेशन सर्विसेज (INCOIS) ने पोर्ट मोरेस्बी, पापुआ न्यू गिनी में आयोजित तीसरी मंत्रिस्तरीय बैठक में एशिया और अफ्रीका के लिए क्षेत्रीय एकीकृत बहुआयामी-आपदा प्रारंभिक चेतावनी प्रणाली को कोमोरोस, मेडागास्कर, और मोजाम्बिक के लिए सागर पूर्वानुमान प्रणाली का उद्घाटन किया।
सागर की भविष्यवाणी और उच्च लहर, धाराओं, हवाओं, ज्वार, उप-सतह महासागर की स्थितियों के बारे में सूचना, इन देशों के मछुआरों, तटीय जनसंख्या, पर्यटन क्षेत्र, तटीय रक्षा अधिकारी, समुद्री पुलिस, बंदरगाह, अनुसंधान संस्थान और अपतटीय उद्योगों को प्राम्भिक चेतावनी देने में सहायक होगी।
INCOIS पहले से ही मालदीव, श्रीलंका और सेशेल्स को ये परिचालन सेवाएं प्रदान कर रहा है।
INCOIS Unveils Ocean Forecasting System :-
The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences here inaugurated the Ocean Forecasting System for Comoros, Madagascar, and Mozambique at the third Ministerial Meeting of Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Asia and Africa (RIMES), held at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
The ocean forecast and early warming information on high wave, currents, winds, tides, and sub-surface ocean conditions cater to users like fishermen, coastal population, tourism sector, coastal defence officials, marine police, port authorities, research institutions and offshore industries of these countries.
INCOIS is already providing these operational services to Maldives, Sri Lanka and Seychelles.
5.डीआईपीपी ने समेकित एफडीआई नीति का अगला संस्करण जारी किया :-
वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्रालय अपनी एकीकृत प्रत्यक्ष विदेशी निवेश (एफडीआई) नीति दस्तावेज का अगला संस्करण जारी किया, जिसमें पिछले वर्ष के किए गए सभी बदलाव शामिल हैं।
एफडीआई से संबंधित मामलों को देखने वाला औद्योगिक नीति एवं संवर्द्धन विभाग (डीआईपीपी) विदेशी निवेश से संबंधित सभी नीतियों को एक दस्तावेज में संकलित करता है जिससे निवेशकों के लिए इसे समझने में आसानी हो।
इसका उद्देश्य विदेशी निवेशकों के लिए एक अनुकूल वातावरण प्रदान करना है तथा आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा देने और नौकरियों का सृजन करने के लिए अधिक एफडीआई को आकर्षित करना है।
पिछले एक वर्ष के दौरान, सरकार ने रक्षा, नागरिक उड्डयन, निर्माण और विकास, निजी सुरक्षा एजेंसियों और समाचार प्रसारण सहित दर्जन से अधिक क्षेत्रों में एफडीआई नीति को उदार बनाया है।
DIPP Releases Next Edition of Consolidated FDI Policy :-
The Commerce and Industry Ministry released the next edition of its consolidated FDI policy document, incorporating all the changes made over the past year.
The Department of industrial policy and promotion, which deals with FDI related matters, compiles all policies related to foreign investment regime into a single document to make it simple and easy for investors to understand.
The whole exercise is aimed at providing an investor friendly climate to foreign players and, in turn, attract more FDI to boost economic growth and create jobs.
During the last one year, the government has liberalised FDI policy in over a dozen sectors, including defence, civil aviation, construction and development, private security agencies and news broadcasting.
6.संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने कजाकिस्तान में परमाणु ईंधन रिजर्व खोला :-
कजाकिस्तान में खोले गये अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परमाणु ऊर्जा एजेंसी के कम समृद्ध यूरेनियम बैंक का उद्देश्य राजनीतिक या बाजार की समस्याओं के कारण व्यवधान की स्थिति में परमाणु ईंधन की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करना है।
रिजर्व में कम-समृद्ध यूरेनियम (एलयूयू) रखा जायेगा, जो कि हल्के-पानी वाले परमाणु रिएक्टरों में ईंधन बनाने के लिए आवश्यक घटक है।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परमाणु ऊर्जा एजेंसी ने कहा कि यह रिजर्व उन परिस्थितियों के लिए “आखिरी उपाय का तंत्र है” जिसमें संयुक्त राष्ट्र के सदस्य देश सामान्य तरीकों से ईंधन तक अपनी पहुंच नही रख सकते।
UN Opens Atomic Fuel Reserve in Kazakhstan to Ensure Supply :-
Ensuring the supply of nuclear fuel in the event of disruption due to political or market problems is the objective of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Low Enriched Uranium Bank, which opens in Kazakhstan.
The reserve will store 90 tons of low-enriched uranium (LEU), the essential ingredient needed to make the fuel for light-water nuclear reactors, which generate electricity.
This material is usually purchased on the open market or by bilateral agreement between countries, a system the new bank does not want to disrupt.
The IAEA insists that the reserve is a “mechanism of last resort” for situations in which a UN member nation cannot access fuel by the usual means.
- 29 अगस्त: राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस :-
हॉकी के जादूगर ध्यानचंद की जयंती पर हर वर्ष 29 अगस्त को राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस मनाया जाता है।
इस अवसर पर, राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद खेल पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगे। राष्ट्रपति से सम्मान प्राप्त करने वाले कुल 29 खिलाड़ियों का चयन किया गया है।
राष्ट्रपति भवन में राष्ट्रपति द्वारा राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार, अर्जुन पुरस्कार और द्रोणाचार्य पुरस्कार प्रदान किया जायेगा।
खेल रत्न पुरस्कार को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर चार साल की अवधि में खिलाड़ियों के शानदार और सबसे उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रदान किया जाता है। राष्ट्रीय खेल में उत्कृष्ट उपलब्धि को पहचानने के लिए अर्जुन पुरस्कार दिया जाता हैं जबकि द्रोणाचार्य पुरस्कार खेल कोचों को सम्मानित करने हेतु प्रदान किया जाता है।
29 August: National Sports Day :-
National Sports day is celebrated on 29th August every year to mark the birthday of Dhyan Chand.
On this occasion, President Ram Nath Kovind will give away the Sports Awards. A total of 29 players have been selected to receive the honours from President.
The President will confer Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award and Dronacharya Award at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
The Khel Ratna Award is honoured for the players’ spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports over a period of four years at international level. The Arjuna Awards are given to recognize outstanding achievement in National sports while the Dronacharya Award is sports coaching honour.
