1.Six agreements signed between India and Canada :-

India and Canada made six agreements in different areas including sports , education , science and technology. These agreements were signed after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in New Delhi.

Modi said in press statement that India , is in favor of strengthening the strategic partnership with Canada. He said that both countries should work together against terrorism.

We have agreed to strengthen our security cooperation. Terrorism and militancy are a threat to democratic pluralistic societies like India and Canada. It is important to join us in order to counter these forces. 

 

2.Trump does not want to ban weapons of every category – White House :-

U.S. State President and White House spokesman Raj Shah said that after the horrific shootings last week, there is considerable pressure on Donald Trump to stop such weapons but despite this, he does not want to ban weapons of every category.

Mr. Shah, in an interview with reporters, said , ” No quick response policy for banning all weapons will not be implemented. We are looking for a solution that, instead of restricting all weapons, to prevent such weapons which are a threat to public security.

 

3.Clean India brand ambassador Kunwar Bai dies :-

Clean Embroider of India, Kunwar Bai, died today at a government hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He was a hundred and six years old. Shubhakar Kunwar Bai of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was a resident of Kotha Bharati village of Dimitri district. Kunwar Bai had sold all his goats to build toilets in his house.

 

4.Need for stable government for development and peace in Nagaland – Prime Minister Narendra Modi :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there is a need for stable government for development and peace in Nagaland. Shri Modi said in the rally of BJP-NPP alliance in Tuensang district yesterday that his government is seriously working to solve the Naga political problem and is ready to discuss this issue with all the parties.

Our government is also making a serious effort to resolve the political problem, I hope that in the next few months we will be able to get the solution that is respectable for the people of Nagaland and the respect of their political rights.

 

5.Government has clarified ‘New Right Foreign Text Rule’ applicable to Indian students wishing to enter only in May 2018 or later :-

The Health Ministry has clarified that Indian candidates desirous of seeking medical qualifications from May or after this year will have to qualify for the National Eligibility Entrance Examination.

It has been stated in the official statement that the new neutral foreign curriculum rule will apply to Indian citizens wishing to obtain first aid qualification from a foreign medical institute in May 2018 or later.

 

6.In the US, the Trump Administration has tightened the rules for issuing H-1B visas :-

Trump administration in the US H for people coming to work at the site of one or more third parties 1 have B visa rules for issuing and stringent. Employees of US Citizenship and Immigration Services under the new policy H only for the same period one has the right to issue B visa.

 

7.Nepal to elect new president on March 13 :-

The election of the new president in Nepal will be held on 13 March. The presidential election program was announced after the meeting that was held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Ayodhya Prasad Yadav.

 

8.There is no plan to merge BSNL and MTNL – Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha :-

Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha has said that there is no plan to merge BSNL and MTNL. He said that an important plan has been made to increase the coordination among the different units of the Department of Telecommunications , which will strengthen the two organizations. He was speaking to reporters after releasing an important plan for coordination between the different units of the Department of Telecom in New Delhi.
