1. Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport is the world’s most punctual airport.

Kempegowda International Airport  ,  Bengaluru  has been ranked as  the world’s  most punctual airport for the last three months consecutively.  This has come to light in the on-time performance report  of   aviation analytics firm  Cerium . The Serium report ranks the punctuality of airports around the world based on the percentage of flights departing within 15 minutes of scheduled time.

2 Raghubar Das was appointed as the Governor of Odisha and Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was appointed as the Governor of Tripura.

President Draupadi Murmu   has appointed new governors  for  Tripura  and  Odisha . According to a Rashtrapati Bhavan release,  Indrasena Reddy Nallu  has been made the Governor of Tripura. He   will replace Satyadev Narayan Arya . Whereas  Jharkhand  former  Chief Minister  Raghuvar Das  will be the new Governor of Odisha. Mr. Das   has been appointed in place of outgoing Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal .

3rd World Health Summit 2023

World Health Summit in 2023   was held in Berlin, Germany , and  participated online from 15 October to 17 October under the theme  “ A Defining Year for Global Health Action ”. On behalf of India, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar participated virtually in this conference.

5 Announcement of four percent increase in dearness allowance of  central employees

the government has  increased dearness allowance for central employees by four percent to 46 percent  . Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that this decision will   benefit 48 lakh 67 thousand central government employees and 68 lakh pensioners. This increase is based on the accepted 7th Pay Commission recommendations. Including both dearness allowance and dearness relief, there will be an annual impact of Rs 12 thousand 857 crore on the government treasury.

6 Approval for 13 giga watt renewable energy project in Ladakh

 The Committee  on Economic Affairs  has approved the Inter-State Transmission SystemGreen Energy Corridor Phase-2 project  for  13 Giga Watt Renewable Energy Project  in  Ladakh . The project   is targeted to be established by 2029-30 . Its total  estimated cost  is more than Rs 20 thousand seven hundred 73 crore . Keeping in mind the complex terrain, adverse climatic conditions and defense sensitivity of the Ladakh region, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited will be the implementing agency for this project. To extract this power, the transmission line  will  go through  Himachal Pradesh  and  Punjab to Kaithal  in  Haryana  , where it will be integrated with the national grid. To provide electricity to Jammu and Kashmir, it   will also be connected to Leh-Alusteng-Srinagar line . this project   will contribute to achieving the target of five hundred giga watt installed power capacity from non-fossil fuels by the year 2030.

8 Uttar Pradesh government launches ‘Clean Festival, Healthy Festival’ campaign

The Uttar Pradesh government  has started  a special cleanliness drive in temples and surrounding areas  in view of  the upcoming  festivals . 10 Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan on Oman visit

11 RBI imposed fine of crores on ICICI and Kotak Mahindra Bank

12 Center approves minimum support price of Rabi crops for marketing year 2024-25

The government has   approved an increase in the minimum support price for six Rabi crops  of  the marketing year 2024-25 . Information and Broadcasting Minister giving information to journalists in New Delhi after the Cabinet meeting  Anurag Singh Thakur  said the highest increase of Rs 425 per quintal has been approved for lentils, followed by Rs 200 per quintal for mustard. Has been done. He said that an increase of Rs 150-150 per quintal has been approved for wheat and safflower. Mr Thakur said the Cabinet has also approved an increase of Rs 115 per quintal for barley and Rs 105 per quintal for gram. Shri Thakur said that the increase in Minimum Support Price for mandatory Rabi crops for marketing year 2024-25 is in line with the announcement made in the Union Budget 2018-19 to fix the Minimum Support Price at a level of at least 1.5 times. He said the government is promoting crop diversification towards oilseeds, pulses and millets to increase food security, increase farmers’ income and reduce dependence on imports.

13 Northern Railway decided to run 34 puja-special trains

To avoid crowding during the upcoming festivals,  Northern Railway  has   decided to run 34 Puja special trains . 14 Bathukamma Festival celebrated in Telangana

Bathukamma, the nine-day annual festival of flowers,  is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across  Telangana  . It is a colorful floral festival traditionally   celebrated by the women of the state with beautiful local flowers . This festival  marks the beginning of monsoon (in southern India).  is celebrated with theLocal flowers like ‘Gunuka,’ ‘Tangedu,’ ‘Banti,’ and ‘Nandi-vardhanam’ are used in abundance during this festival. The festival begins a week before ‘Saddula Bathukamma’ (the grand finale of the Bathukamma festival) and is celebrated two days before Dussehra. It begins each year on Bhadrapada Amavasya according to the Telugu version of the Hindu calendar and continues for nine days of Navratri. During the entire initial week, women make ‘Boddemma’ (an earthly idol of Gauri i.e. Maa Durga) along with Bathukamma and immerse it in the pond. The tradition of this festival helps in strengthening the ponds and maintaining water conservation. The festival strengthens the coordination between humans, earth and water resources with rituals aimed at conserving natural resources.

19 Israel’s ‘Iron Beam’ missile defense system

Israel  tests  its new laser-based ‘ Iron Beam ‘  missile defense system . The system   is designed to destroy short-range rockets, artillery and mortar bombs . The system can also intercept unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Its range is up to 7 kilometers. Arrow 2, Arrow 3, David’s Sling and Iron Dome Iron Beam is the sixth element of Israel’s integrated missile defense system, in addition toIron Beam uses a fiber laser to generate a laser beam to destroy airborne targets. 20 President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated ‘Bihar Agriculture Roadmap 2023-2028’ in Patna.

President  Draupadi Murmu reached Patna on  her three-day  visit to Bihar , where  she was welcomed by  Governor  Vishwanath Arlekar , Chief Minister  Nitish Kumar  and Deputy Chief Minister  Tejashwi Prasad Yadav . The President  launched the fourth  ‘ Agriculture Road Map: 2023-2028 ‘ of Bihar in Patna. She will attend the convocation ceremonies of three different institutions in Bihar. In this road map,  an action plan  has been made for the development of agriculture in the state in the next five years. Agriculture and eleven other related departments have been included in this action plan.
