1.Nalco entered into an agreement with the Government of India for the financial year 2018-19 :-

Image result for national aluminum company limitedNational Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), the flagship and public sector Navratna company of Aluminum sector, has signed an MoU with the Government of India, setting a revenue target of Rs 9,350 crore for the financial year 2018-19. This revenue target is 15 percent higher than the previous year. On the Memorandum of Understanding, Secretary, Ministry of Mines Mr. Anil Gopi Shankar Mukim and Chairman and Managing Director of Nalco Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand signed yesterday in New Delhi. Mines Secretary Mr. Mukim appreciated Nalco management for establishing a strong business plan for the company’s excellent performance, 2017-18 and establishing a high level of corporate governance and 2018-19. This Memorandum of Understanding is in line with the guidelines of the Public Enterprises Department and it was finalized after consultation with the Ministry of Inter-Ministerial and the Ministry of Mines.

 

2.Mr. Manoj Sinha flagged off Darbhanga-Jalandhar City Antyodaya Express train :-

  1. 30 States and Union Territories participated in the ‘State Start-Up Ranking Framework 2018’ launched by DIPP :-

Related imageIn order to increase competitiveness, the State and Union Territories will be encouraged to work actively towards promoting their start-up ecosystems by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) on February 6, 2018. The ‘State Start-Up Ranking Framework’ was launched. Under this, motivating states / UTs to motivate them to learn good practices or methods from each other was also an important objective.

 

4.At the completion of 3 years of the launch of Atal Pension Scheme, the number of its members crossed the figure of 10 million :-

Image result for Atal Pension SchemeThe completion of 3 years of the Atal Pension Scheme (APY) has exceeded the number of members of this scheme of 1 crore. APY was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9th May, 2015 at a function held in Kolkata. At present, the total number of members of the scheme is 1.10 crore.

 

5.BJP biggest party in Karnataka :-

Image result for BJP biggest party in KarnatakaIn the Karnataka assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as the largest party with 104 seats. Of the 216 results declared till late night, BJP has won 100, Congress 77 and Janta Dal Secular coalition won 38 seats. Bahujan Samaj Party got one seat. While the BJP on four seats, Congress and independents are ahead in each seat. Bharatiya Janata Party’s Chief Ministerial poster B.S. Yeddyurappa, in the late evening, met the Governor to claim the formation of the government. However, the state’s public has not given any party absolute majority. In the state BJP has claimed to be the government, being the biggest party, while the Congress is claiming to form the government in collaboration with JDS. The leaders of the three parties have reached the Raj Bhavan in the evening to meet the governor.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has submitted the resignation to the governor.

 

6.Senior Advocate Mukul Rohatgi to be appointed as special jurist in the selection committee for appointment of Lokpal  :-

The Central Government today told the Supreme Court that senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi has been included as a special jurist in the selection committee for appointment of the Lokpal. Attorney General K.K. Venugopal told the Bench headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi that the decision on the appointment of Jyotiatant Rohatgi was made on May 11. The Chairman of the Selection Committee is the Prime Minister.

 

7.High level committee chaired by the Union Home Minister approved the central assistance of Rs 1161.17 crore :-

8.Karnataka: Left Dalits leave Congress with ‘Thumbs Up’ to BJP :-

The trend of Karnataka election results is deeply hurt by the Congress’s Dalit politics. The BJP is moving forward in 23 Dalit Bahuuli seats, while Congress is leading in 20 seats. All this is happening at a time when the Congress has been accused of being anti-Dalit on the BJP. JDS and its allies were BSP in the field to handle the vote bank of Dalits in Karnataka. In spite of this, the Dalits have shown their faith in the BJP.

In the Karnataka elections, the Dalits vote for the BJP that they are now shouting from the Congress’s old dalit politics.
