1.With the commitment of cooperation in development, President ends the visit of Guinea: In the second phase of Africa tour will be the first Indian President to visit Swaziland :-

Image result for Ramnath KovindIn the second phase of the trip to Equatorial Guinea, Swaziland and Zambia, President Ramnath Kovind finished his journey to Equatorial Guinea and left for Swaziland. He is the first Indian President to be named Guinea. During the Guinea visit of President Koindu, three MoUs signed between Ginni and India between Ayush and traditional medicinal plants and action plan for Information and Communication Technology were signed.

The President also issued a statement in the media before departing from Equatorial Guinea. In this statement, the President said that he has been honored by the official visit of Guinea. In the interaction with the President of Guinea, he also reviewed bilateral relations and discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest. Both sides agreed to strengthen mutual cooperation for the development of people of India and Guinea.

Shri Kovind will be the first Indian President to visit Swaziland.

 

2.From the next month, direct delivery to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust will start :-

Image result for Jawaharlal Nehru Port TrustThe Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has taken a new transport solution to deliver the cargo destinations directly and fast from the port through direct port delivery. Four successful bidders have received orders for five routes to send cargo from JNPT to Gujarat, Goa and Bengaluru, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Indore and Hyderabad, Ahmednagar and local areas in and around Mumbai. The meeting of these bidders was held in JNPT last week, in which the preparation of the new system was started from May 2018.

Direct transport delivery has been accepted as the best way to transport cargo directly to importers from the port and at this time it is 39 percent of total cargo traffic from JNPT. About 1600 importers have adopted direct transport delivery mode in the form of transport, which will benefit from this process. An exporter or importer will be able to book his cargo sitting in his office through a platform equipped with technology.

 

3.Hyderabad beat Rajasthan by 9 wickets in IPL 4 match :-

4.US experts will gather proof of IS’s cruel crimes in Iraq :-

Image result for IT's cruel crimes in IraqIn the United Nations, Under-Secretary-General of the Legal Affairs, Miguel de Serpa, arrived in Baghdad on Sunday. They went to discuss the sending of the UN team to gather evidence of the crimes committed by the IS group in Iraq. The statement issued by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that Serpa’s Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim-al-Jafari welcomed. According to the Xinhua News Report, they are going to meet to discuss the UN measures to support Iraq in the fight against IS.

The statement said that the United Nations will send its experts to Iraq and cooperate with the Iraqi government and the judicial system to gather evidence. Serpa said that the UN is continuously supporting Iraq for the restoration, stability and security. Let us tell you that in September 2017, the United Nations Security Council had requested General Secretary Antonio Guteras to establish an investigation team to gather evidence in Iraq on the crime committed by the IS militant group.

 

5.China imposes restrictions imposed on exports of double-use goods in North Korea :-

According to the ministry’s statement on Sunday, these restrictions also apply to the development of conventional weapons. This announcement came from China’s North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, before the upcoming meeting between South Korean leader and United States. China is the only major trading partner of North Korea.

8.21st Commonwealth Games: Indian women team won gold medal of table tennis India medal with 8 gold medals in third position :-

Earlier, Poonam Yadav won gold medal in 69 kg weight category of women’s weightlifting event. Vikas Thakur succeeded in winning the Bronze medal while performing his best in the 94 kg weight category.

In the women’s 10 meter air pistol event, Manu Bhekar set a gold medal while setting a Commonwealth record. Heena Sidhu won the silver medal in this competition. In men’s 10 meter air rifle event, Ravi Kumar bronze his name in the title.  

 

9.Consultation Agreement to Power Grid Corporation :-

The company said that the power grid has received a project management consulting contract. This agreement was received from the Power Grid Corporation of Bangladesh for a 500 MW HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) project. Through this, the electricity from Surjmaninagar (India) will be delivered to the grid of Bangladesh in Comilla North (Bangladesh). The project is worth Rs 1,064 crore and for this consultation fee has been kept at Rs 21 crore.
