1.Country’s first ‘smart fence’ will work on the border from today, Home Minister will inaugurate :-

For the first time in the country, laser active fence has been fenced. Today, on Monday, that means Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the ‘Smart Fence’ Pilot Project in two areas of 5-5 kilometers on the border with Pakistan in Jammu region.

A senior official told on Sunday that Rajnath Singh will launch this ambitious project during a one-day tour by visiting the advance front in Jammu. This technique will be used by the Border Security Force (BSF). In front of the Home Minister, senior officers of this paramilitary force will conduct smart fences.

 

2.Prime Minister will visit Varanasi on September 17-18 :-

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi on September 17-18, 2018.

He will reach the city on the afternoon of September 17th. He will go straight to Narur village where he will meet an elementary school student who is running with the help of a non-profit organization ‘Room to Read’. Later, in the DLW campus, the Prime Minister will meet with the students of Kashi Vidyapeeth and the children they are assisted with.

 

3.MPATGM’s second flight test successful :-

A second indigenously built Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATM) flight was successfully tested from Ahmednagar. In this, all the missions of the mission have been completed. Successful testing has been done for different ranges including maximum range capacity of two missions on September 15 and 16, 2018.

Defense Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman congratulated the DRDO, Indian Army and the related industries on the double success of the MPATGM Arms system.

 

4.The Vet Commission will focus on inter-state inequalities and urbanization related issues on the tour of Maharashtra from September 17 :-

The 15th Vigilance Commission of the Government of India will visit Maharashtra from September 17 to September 19, 2018. Under the chairmanship of Chairman Shri NK Singh, the members of the Commission, including Mr. Shaktikant Das, Dr. Anoop Singh, Dr. Ashok Lahiri, Dr. Ramesh Chand and Secretary, Mr. Arvind Mehta and other officials, in Mumbai, Chief Ministers, other Ministers and other officers of the state Will meet with. To understand the issues related to the state, meetings of various political parties, representatives of trade and industry, urban local bodies and Panchayati Raj institutions will be organized to understand the issues related to the state.

In August, a consultation meeting was held with economists in Pune to understand the issues related to the field of commission. Prior to starting its tour, the Commission received information from the Mahalakhapal of Maharashtra in New Delhi regarding the financial status of the state and the various aspects and aspects related to the socio-economic sectors.

 

5.15th Indian Diaspora will be held in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh in January 2019 :-

The 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas-2013 will be organized in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh next year. The three-day event will start from January 21. The program will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on January 23, President Ramnath Kovind will give the concluding speech. NRIs will also get a chance to take part in Kumbh Mela and they will also participate in the Republic Day Parade.

In a joint press conference with UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said in New Delhi that the migrant Indians are an important part of India and all of them have been an important contributor to India’s development journey.

 

6.Rapid growth in India’s exports: In the last three months, 19% growth was highest in August :-

India’s exports grew rapidly during the last three months and this increased to USD 27.84 billion in the month of August. The credit of this increase has been shown to increase the health of petroleum products, engineering, pharma and gems and ornaments.

According to the data released by the Commerce Ministry, the country’s exports grew by 19.21 percent in August, the highest in the last three months. In May, exports went up by 20.18 percent in May.

During this period, imports also increased by 25.41 percent and this increased to USD 45.24 billion. The increase in this has been explained as the high expenditure on the import of crude oil.

During the month of August, the country’s trade deficit stood at USD 17.4 billion as against $ 12.72 billion in the same month last year

 

7.Donald Trump nominated Indian-American for the post of Finance :-

American President Donald Trump has nominated Indian-American Bimal Patel for a very important administrative post of the Finance Ministry. Georgia’s Patel has been nominated for the post of assistant minister for financial institutions in the Finance Ministry. Patel is currently Deputy Assistant Minister for Finance Sustainability Monitoring Council. According to the News Agency language, the White House said that before becoming part of the US financial ministry, Patel was a participant and head of financial consultant and regulatory regulator in Washington DC, O’Malveen and Myers LLP’s office. The director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s board of directors has also been senior consultant to Jeremiah Norton.

Patel has also been an Assistant Assistant Professor at Stanford University, he used to teach banking regulation to graduate students here. Patel has been a BA from Stanford University, studying J.D. from Harvard University, M.P.P. from the Kennedy School of Government and Georgetown University

Law Center.

 

8.Indian Life Insurance Corporation to revive ILFS :-

The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has promised immediate help to Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL & FS), which is facing financial hardship. The emergency meeting of the director board of IL & FS was convened on Saturday. In the meeting, the Board approved a solution plan to overcome the crisis of cash shortage and to formulate strategies for raising the capital. According to sources, during the emergency meeting, LIC’s largest shareholder LIC approved the subscribing of the company’s upcoming rights issue. Along with this, LIC also agreed to invest some funds immediately to keep the operations of IL & FS going smoothly.

The company nearly immediately shareholders 3 to continue its operations , needs 000 million. LIC currently holds 25.34 percent stake in IL & FS. Meanwhile , sources say that LIC’s Managing Director Hemant Bhargava has resigned as the non-executive Chairman of IL & FS with immediate effect. Although he will remain as a director on the company’s board.

It is also being said that former LIC Chairman SB Mathur has been appointed as the new Non-Executive Chairman of IL & FS. Earlier this week, the main shareholders of IL & FS had put the condition of raising capital by selling their non-core assets before investing in the company and before capital investment. Among these shareholders, apart from LIC, SBI and HDFC are included.

 

9.PAK vs Hong Kong: Pakistan’s easy victory, did not give collision Hong Kong :-

In Asia Cup 2018, Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 8 wickets in the Group A match, with their first win in the tournament. Hong Kong first scored only 116 runs, in reply, Pakistan achieved the target in the 24th over with no loss of 2 wickets. Imam played 50 and Babar Azam scored 33 runs.

Earlier, while batting, Hong Kong’s innings reduced to 116 runs. Usman took 3 wickets for Pakistan, while Shahad and Hasan Ali got 2-2 wickets.

 

10.Sensex drops 332 points to 37758, a huge drop in the stock market :-

The Indian stock market has started with a huge decline. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s (BSE) index Sensex fell 332 points to 37758 and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) index Nifty is trading at a level of 11414 with a weakness of 100 points. The mid-cap on the National Stock Exchange was 0.69 percent and the smallcap 0.27 percent fall.

India bulls housing finance top losers – Talking about the big names in the Nifty, 8 green mark and 42 are trading with the fall. The fastest is in the shares of Wipro, HCL Tech, Eicher Motors, Tech Mahindra and Dr Reddy. At the same time, the fall is in the shares of India Bulls Housing Finance, Titan, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance and SBIIN.
