1.India, Rwanda sign 3 MoUs :-

India and Rwanda on Monday signed MoUs for promoting innovation, easing visa requirements and boosting air connectivity between the two countries.

2.Trump names McMaster as National Security Adviser :-

U.S. President Donald Trump named on Monday Army Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster as his new National Security Adviser, the post left vacant after Michael Flynn’s resignation.

3.Expect some sparks to fly when India meets Australia :-

That seemed to be the mantra adopted by the combination of team director Ravi Shastri and captain Virat Kohli during India’s last tour down under. Shastri has since passed on the team’s charge to Anil Kumble. And Kohli seems to have sobered down when it comes to expressing himself on the field.

4.Himachal hills get snow again :-

The higher reaches including the tribal districts of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh on Monday once again experienced a light snowfall resulting in cold wave conditions in the State.

5.Uttarakhand playing with forest fire :-

With summers approaching, forest fires that will last till the start of the monsoon season have begun in Uttarakhand. However, even after the massive forest fires last year, the forest department seems ill-equipped to tackle the issue.

6.India’s oldest warship may be sold for scrap :-

India’s oldest warship INS Viraat has seen operational service in the Royal British Navy for 27 years before being inducted by the Indian Navy in 1987.Because of the imbroglio with the Andhra govt over who will foot the bill, Centre may be forced to scrap this 58-year-old aircraft carrier.

7.Bihar Government Prohibits State Officials from Consuming Liquor Anywhere In The World :-
The Bihar Cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ruled out a new rule under which the no officials of the state government would be allowed to consume liquor either in the state or outside the state and not even abroad.

8.Khajuraho Dance Festival Starts in Madhya Pradesh :-
The Khajuraho Dance Festival kicked off at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh from February 20, 2017. The seven day festival will conclude on February 26, 2017.The dance festival is conducted every year by the Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad.

 9.Report Finds India as the World’s Largest Arms Importer in the Last Four Years :-

According to a report released by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on February 20, 2017, India emerged as the world’s largest importer of major arms during 2012–16.

10.SBI Rebrands Corporate Website as bank.sbi :-
The country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) rebranded its corporate website as “bank.sbi” from the earlier “sbi.co.in” on February 19, 2017.Now bank.sbi is the highest domain protocol commonly known as generic top level domain (gTLD).

11.SEBI Approves IRB InvIT Fund to Raise Fund Through IPO :-
Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given its approval to IRB InvIT Fund, to raise Rs 4,300 crore through an initial public offering (IPO).IRB InvIT Fund is an investment trust sponsored by IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, an Indian highway construction company headquartered in Mumbai.

12.Karnataka Bank Signs MoU with Daimler India :-
Magaluru based Karnataka Bank Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) on February 20, 2017 to extend finance to customers for the purchase of commercial vehicles manufactured by the company.

13.Norway Nobel Committee Chairwoman Kullmann Dies At 65 :-
Chair-woman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Kaci Kullmann Five, died on February 19, 2017. She was 65.

14.Microsoft-Flikpkart Announce Strategic Tie-Up :-
US based IT giant Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Indian electronic commerce company Flipkart Group CEO Binny Bansal has  announced a “strategic partnership” on February 20, 2017.

15.Tata Steel owned Katamati Iron Mine Wins Best Green Organization Award :-

Katamati Iron Mine, owned by Tata Steel, was conferred with the Best Green Organisation of the Year Award on February 18, 2017 at the Global Green Future Leadership Awards in Mumbai.
