Apart from real estate, a similar GST can be levied on the council lottery. At present, the state sponsored lottery is 12 per cent and 28 per cent GST on the lottery run by the state’s sanction. The Group of Ministers, headed by Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, suggested to increase the GST from 18 per cent to 28 per cent on the lottery. Apart from this, the decision about the prices of cement is possible.
