1.Dhoni, captain of IPL, IPL 2018 champions, won third title :-

In the match, CSK defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, taking the title of the IPL 2018 title. In the captaincy of Dhoni, Chennai captured the IPL title for the third time.

 

2.Famous actor Akshay Kumar launches ad campaign for ‘Swachh Bharat’  :-

This campaign was started in the ‘Collector’s Convention for Toilet Technology’ organized in the capital. This campaign focuses on promoting double-decked toilet technology in rural India and this advertisement includes Mr Kumar along with actress Ms. Land Pedenekar.

 

3.Support of two-thirds of people in the referendum to end the ban on abortion in Ireland :-

Two-thirds of the people voted in a referendum opposed to the proposal to ban abortion in Ireland. There were 66 percent opposed to it and 33 percent of the people in the party. At this time abortion permission in Ireland is only on the mother and infant’s life.

Ireland’s parliament will be able to amend the law with the result of referendum.

 

4.PM Modi dedicates Eastern Peripheral Express to the nation in Baghpat of UP, inaugurated the first phase of Delhi-Meerut Expressway :-

Image result for pmOn Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Eastern Peripheral Express to the nation in Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh. It is the country’s first smart and green highway. The 135-kilometer long highway , six-lane highway , is environmentally friendly and has a world-class security system.

On this expressway , signal-free traffic will be run between Ghaziabad , Faridabad , Gautam Buddha Nagar and Palwal.

 

5.India will host the World Environment Day celebration this year :-

This year’s theme for Environment Day is – Beat Plastic Pulsection. In the interaction with All India Radio yesterday, Environment Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that on this occasion, several programs and workshops will be organized from 1 to 5 June. The main function will be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the function.

 

6.General Assembly of National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies in Pakistan on 25th July :-

This day will be voted together for the National Assembly and provincial assemblies. The term of Pakistan’s National Assembly and Punjab Assembly ends on 31st of this month. The term of Sindh , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan assemblies is being completed on 28th of this month. From June 1 , the caretaker government will be in power till the new government is elected. The current government is the elected government in power twice in Pakistan.

 

7.Prasar Bharati earned revenue of Rs. One hundred four hundred thirty seven crore in the year 2017-18 :-

9.Government 8.55% interest on PF for 2017-18, lowest in 5 years :-

Image result for PFThe Employees Provident Fund Organization has asked its Regional Offices to add 8.55% interest to the accounts of 50 million shareholders for the financial year 2017-18. This is the lowest after the financial year 2012-13.  According to a letter written to more than 120 Regional Offices of EPFO , Ministry of Labor Has said that the central government has sanctioned interest rate of 8.55 percent for the shareholders’ provident fund accounts for the year 2017-18.

The finance ministry had approved 8.55 percent interest on EPF in the last financial year. But due to the election of the Karnataka election, it could not be implemented due to the code of conduct. The EPFO’s Central Board of Trustees, headed by the Labor Minister, decided to give 8.55 per cent interest for the 2017-18 meeting held on February 21, 2018.

Ministry of Labor sent this recommendation for the approval of the Finance Ministry. However, it could not be implemented with the consent of the Finance Ministry and later it was delayed due to the code of conduct being preceded by the Karnataka elections scheduled for May 12.

 

10.ICC ban imposed on Smart Watch, said it is not allowed in the field :-

Image result for International Cricket CouncilThe International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned players wearing smart watch within the field. The ICC has announced that now players can not wear Smart Watch during the match. The ICC said in a statement given to the media on Friday that now players playing in the ground will not wear Smart Watch.

In addition, the ICC also said that the player will not take any kind of communication device in the field. This will also apply to the dressing room. Let us tell you that this decision has been made by the ICC in the first Test match between Pakistan England running at Lord’s, one day after the Pakistani players were prevented from wearing Smart Watch during a Test match.

The ICC has taken this stern step to avoid any allegations of match-fixing in the cricket world.
