    1.Dr. Jitendra Singh honored the students of “K-Super 30” who are successful in the JEE (Main and Advance), 2017-18 examination :-

    Central N. East Development ( Independent Charge) , Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Minister of State for Atmospheric Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh conducted JEE (Main and Advance), 2017-18 examination in a program held here. Respected ‘Kashmir Super 30’ students to be honored.

     

    1. 14.30 crores sanctioned for sports at block level in Jammu and Kashmir :-

     

    Under the ‘ Play India ‘ scheme of       the sports ministry of the Government of India , grants-in-aid of 14.30 crores has been approved for the block level in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In 143 blocks of all 22 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Rs 10 lakh per block will be spent under this scheme.

     

    3.Announcement of setting up of 3,000 and ATT tinkering labs will be set up in the  district of Atal Innovation of the Policy Commission :-

    Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) will be established soon in every district of the country.

    The Atal Innovation Mission of the Policy Commission (AIM) has selected 3,000 more schools for the establishment of Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL). With this, the total number of ATL schools will increase to 5,441. In order to establish innovative and entrepreneurial spirit among the children of secondary schools across the country, selected schools will be given a grant of Rs 20 lakhs in the next five years to establish the Atal Tinkering Lab.

     

    4.Retail inflation based on the Consumer Price Index, based on the Consumer Price Index, stood at 4.87 percent in May, 2018 :-

    The Central Statistical Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation , released the inflation data based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for May , 2018 today . During this period, CPI-based inflation was 4.88 percent (Provisional) for rural areas , which was 2.30 percent in May , 2017 . Similarly, CPI-based inflation for urban areas was pegged at 4.72 per cent (Provisional) in May , 2018 , which was 2.13 per cent in May 2017 . These rates were 4.67 and 4.42 percent (final) respectively in April , 2018 .

     

    5.Britain assured India of full cooperation to bring any fugitive into the ranks of the law :-

    The UK has assured that it will fully cooperate to bring all the fugitives, including the wanted Vijay Mallya or Nirv Modi in the Indian courts, to the dock of the law. This information was given by Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiran Rijiju after a meeting with Minister of State Baronness Williams of UK anti-insurgency affairs in New Delhi.

     

    6.India offers a check for Nepal-Nepal Friendship Irrigation Project :-

    In Nepal, Indian Ambassador Manjit Singh Puri handed a check of  99.2 million Nepalese rupees to Dr. Sanjay Sharma , Secretary , Ministry of Energy , Water Resources and Irrigation in Kathmandu on Monday .

    Let us tell you that these last payment checks were given to Nepal under the Nepal-India Friendship Irrigation Project for setting up 2700 Shell tube tube irrigation systems in 12 districts of Nepal. With this payment , Government of India has issued a total of 227.6 million Nepali Rupees to the Government of Nepal to implement this project .

     

    7.Gita Press will soon publish ‘Mahabharata’ in Telugu language :-

    Gita Press, located in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, which has been in almost a century in the publication of religious books, has added a new chapter in its history. The institute has translated the Mahabharata, the one of the best passage texts in the world, into Telugu language, which would be a boon for Telugu speaking people.

     

    8.US sanctions new restrictions on Russia :-

    The United States Department of Finance has announced the addition of five Russian units and additional restrictions on three Russian people. The Finance Department released a statement on its official website on Monday, giving this information. According to the statement, the Finance Department has also banned six other persons related to Libya.

     

    9.Registration of 1,300 new FPIs in Sector 2017-18 :-

     

    The interest of foreign portfolio investors (FPI) remains still in the Indian capital market. More than 1,300 foreign portfolio investors have registered with SEBI in the financial year 2017-18. This information came from the data of SEBI. In comparison, around 3,500 new FPIs were registered with SEBI in 2016-17.

    According to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) , this year went to 9136 the number of FPI by end of March , which was 7807 a year ago. In this financial year, a total of 1,329 new FPIs have been registered with SEBI.

    Government has started sale of railway tickets through five thousand Wi-Fi Chowpals and Public Service Centers i.e. Common Service Center in the villages. Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad inaugurated it in New Delhi yesterday. The objective of this scheme is to change the format of rural internet connectivity through BharatNet. Through the Wi-Fi Chowpals, people of rural areas will be able to get effective internet services for various digital processes.
