1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited by France on the occasion of Bastille Day Parade

Recently Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  was   invited by  France  on the occasion of  Bastille Day Parade . In 1780  , a French military parade, also known as the Bastille Day military parade and the 14th July military parade, was held in Paris on the morning of 14th July. This day is marked as the National Day of France. This military parade is celebrated with dance and fireworks.

2. PM addresses 5th International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure

Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi  through a video message at  the 5th  International Conference on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (ICDRI), 2023 addressed to He called upon the world to adopt an integrated approach to deal with the impact of disasters. The PM pointed out that in a few years, more than 40 countries have become part of the CDRI. The summit is becoming an important forum for both advanced economies and developing economies, large and small countries. CDRI’s theme for this year’s conference is ‘Delivering Resilient and Inclusive Infrastructure’. Last year, the Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund was announced and this 50 million-dollar fund has generated immense interest among developing countries. India officially launched the CDRI on 23 September 2019 at the 2019 United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York. It is supported by countries, United Nations agencies, multilateral development banks, It is an international alliance of the private sector and educational institutions. It aims to promote disaster-resilient infrastructure. On August 28, 2019, the Cabinet had approved the setting up of the CDRI with its secretariat in New Delhi and an endowment of Rs 480 crore.

3. Sri Lankan President requests India’s National Center for Good Governance to assist in setting up the University of Governance and Lokniti in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan  President  Ranil Wickremesinghe  has requested  India’s  National Center for Good Governance to assist in setting up the University of Governance and Lokniti  in Sri Lanka  .  The request was made by Mr. Wickremesinghe while interacting with a delegation from the Center on a two-day visit to Sri Lanka led by Bharat Lal, Director General, National Center for Good Governance  . He shared his vision for Sri Lanka and mentioned the current economic challenges facing the country. Issues of policy reforms, good governance, digitization, capacity building and training and availability of public services were also discussed in this conversation.

4. MEA refutes China’s move to rename places in Arunachal Pradesh

MEA  slams  China  for  renaming places  in  Arunachal Pradesh has denied the move. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi has said in a statement that this is not the first time that China has made such an attempt. He has said that India rejects it outright. Mr. Bagchi stressed that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral and inseparable part of the country and attempts to coin new names cannot change this reality. The reaction came in the wake of media reports that China has renamed 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh. China’s Ministry of Civil Affairs published a list of standardized names for 11 places in Arunachal Pradesh, referring to it as “Jangnan”, a region south of Tibet in northern India, using Chinese, Tibetan and Pinyin characters. has been used. This is an attempt to claim the Indian state according to China’s rules on geographical names.

5. Jal Jeevan Mission achieves milestone of 60% coverage

Jal Jeevan Mission  was announced  by  Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi  on  15th August, 2019 . It aims to provide water of prescribed quality with adequate pressure in sufficient quantity (55 LPCD) on regular and long term basis to all rural households. The overall financial commitment of Jal Jeevan Mission is INR 3600 billion (US$ 43.80 billion) making it one of the largest welfare programs in the world. At the time of launch of this mission in August 2019, out of 19.43 crore rural households, only 3.23 crore (16.65 per cent) households had access to tap water. States/UTs have made sustained efforts regarding the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission despite several disruptions created in recent years due to the COVID pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war. the country On 4th April 2023 , another important milestone has been achieved in this journey of   ‘ Har Ghar Jal ‘, in which more than 11.66 crore (60%) rural households have  been provided tap water supply at their homes. 5 States  Gujarat, Telangana, Goa, Haryana and Punjab  and  3 Union Territories  –  Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Daman Diu & Dadra Nagar Haveli and Puducherry have  achieved 100% coverage.

6. Mukesh Ambani again became the richest person in Asia

Mukesh Ambani has  once again   become the richest person in Asia . Forbes ‘ gave this information in the list of billionaires of 2023. Bernard Arnault  of  France  is  the richest person in the world  with $211 billion  . Elon Musk  ($180 billion) second,  Jeff Bezos  ($114 billion) third,  Larry Ellison  ($107 billion) fourth and  Warren Buffet ($ 106 billion) is at the fifth position. Bill Gates is at the sixth position with a net worth of $ 104 billion. Michael Bloomberg seventh, Carlson Slim Helu eighth, Mukesh Ambani ninth and Steve Ballmer 10th. Ambani’s chief rival Gautam Adani has slipped to 24th position in the global list. Adani was the third richest person in the world on 24 January. At that time his wealth was 126 billion dollars. His wealth declined sharply following a report by American short-seller Hindenburg Research. Forbes said that Adani’s net worth is now $47.2 billion and he is the second richest Indian after Ambani. Mukesh Ambani (65) is the 9th richest person in the world with a net worth of $83.4 billion. Last year, Ambani’s Reliance Industries became the first Indian company to earn revenue of more than $100 billion, Forbes said. According to the list, Shiv Nadar is the third richest Indian. Cyrus Poonawalla got the place of the fourth richest person in the country. Steel baron Lakshmi Mittal ranked 5th, OP Jindal Group’s Savitri Jindal 6th, Sun Pharma’s Dilip Shanghvi 7th and DMart’s Radhakrishna Damani 8th.

7. World Bank said – Inflation in India will further come down to five point two percent during the current financial year

The World Bank  has said that  inflation  will come down to 5.2 percent  during  the financial year 2023-24 . In the previous financial year it was 6.6 per cent. The World Bank has also predicted in one of its reports that  the country’s current account deficit  will come down to 2.1 per cent of GDP in the current financial year  from the three per cent estimated for the previous financial year. Notably,  the Reserve Bank of India RBI has increased the interest rate by 250 basis points from May 2022 till date as part of the measures to reduce inflation. However, the World Bank report also states that higher interest rates will lead to higher credit costs and lower domestic consumer consumption, which in turn may result in lower GDP growth. The World Bank has  revised the GDP growth rate for  the financial year 2023-34  to 6.3 percent,  which is close to the latest forecast of the Reserve Bank of India at 6.4 percent. In view of the challenges arising out of global and domestic factors, the Asian Development Bank has also projected India’s GDP growth rate to be 6.4 per cent during this period.

8. Fernarium set up in Eravikulam National Park

A new attraction has been added to the Eravikulam National Park   in  Kerala . A Fernarium  has been established inside this park  . This is the first time that such a fern collection has been established in this hill station. According to statistics, there are 104 species of ferns in this National Park. Eravikulam National Park is located in the Kannan Devan Hills of the Southern Western Ghats. This park  is also a natural habitat of the goat named Nilgiri tahr in Munnar.  Neelakurinji flowers  bloom  in this park every twelve years. Ferns   are ecological indicators of healthy forests . Ferns are part of the Epiphytic family. These Grow naturally without soil . Its plants obtain water and nutrients through leaching from trees.

9. Air forces of India and US to conduct joint exercise ‘Cope India’

 Air Forces of  India and US at Kalaikunda Airbase, West Bengal  from   10 to 21 April, 2023  Cope India Ready to hold the exercise, in which Japan will participate as an observer. Exercise Cope India is a bilateral joint training exercise involving the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the United States Air Force (USAF), started in the year 2004 as a combat-training exercise. The most recent iteration of the exercise took place in the year 2019. The exercise has evolved to include combat-training exercises, subject matter expert exchanges, air mobility training, airdrop training and larger military exercises. Other joint defense exercises between India and the US include Yudh Abhyas (military exercises), Vajra Prahar and Dharma Guardian with Japan and the trilateral maritime exercise MALABAR between the navies of India, Japan and the United States.

10. Sheenu Jhawar becomes first woman president of TiE Rajasthan

Dr. Sheenu Jhawar  has   been appointed as the new President of TiE Rajasthan  for a two-year term  from 2023 to 2025 .  Dr. Jhawar is the first woman to hold this position in the 21 year history of TiE Rajasthan. Dr. Ravi Modani  She has been associated with TiE Rajasthan for many years and has contributed significantly to its growth and success. 11. Jammu and Kashmir administration to set up state-of-the-art Emergency Operation Centers in all districts of the Union Territory to reduce losses due to natural calamities

The Jammu and Kashmir administration  has   decided to set up state- of-the-art Emergency Operation Centers in all the districts  of the Union Territory to minimize losses due to  natural calamities . The project will have a complete disaster management plan under the National Disaster Management Plan 2019. The project will be implemented in all twenty districts. The Union Territory Administration has signed an MoU with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for the implementation of an emergency response support system to coordinate disaster calls on dial number 112.

12. The second meeting of the G20 group related to the empowerment of women begins in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

The second meeting of the G20 group on  empowerment of women and  strengthening  their economic representation  began in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala . The meeting has been organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The theme of the meeting is ‘Women Empowerment: Investment and the Economy’. Programs are being organized on various important topics in the meeting. Kerala Health Minister Veena George is participating in these events.

13. In protest against the Right to Health Bill in Rajasthan, the strike of doctors of private hospitals has ended since 16 days.

 In  Rajasthan , the 16-day-long strike by doctors of private hospitals  in protest against  the Right to Health Bill has  ended. Doctors’ organizations today announced calling off the strike after doctors and the government reached an agreement on eight points on the Right to Health Bill. Expressing happiness over this agreement, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that Rajasthan will become the first state to implement the right to health.

14. NASA announces four-member team of astronauts to orbit the Moon

NASA  has   announced a team of  four astronauts  for  the lunar mission , which  will fly around the Moon  for a  10-day mission next year .  Astronauts will fly to the Moon next year  under the Artemis II mission . The team was announced during an event in Houston, Texas. The team consists of  three American and one Canadian astronauts  , including  one woman and one African American  , who were once assigned as astronauts for lunar missions. Reid Wiseman  will be commander while  Victor Glover  will pilot the mission,  with Christina Koch  and Canadian Jeremy Hansen  will serve as mission specialist.  Ms Koch and Mr Glover will make history as the first women and the first black men to walk around the Moon  .  Mr. Hansen will be the first non-American to walk on the Moon  . Christina Koch holds the world record for the longest spaceflight by a woman. She has lived in space for 328 days and holds the record for the longest stay in space by a woman. She participated in the first all-female spacewalk in October 2019, along with another NASA astronaut, Jessica Meir. Man first stepped on the moon in 1969. Neil Armstrong reached the surface of the moon in 1969.

The book Courting India: England, Mughal India and the Origins of Empire by Nandini Das,  a professor of English literature at the University of Liverpool , looks at the relationship between England and Mughal India in the early modern period. Focuses on cultural and literary exchange.

16. ‘MF Hydra’: World’s first liquid hydrogen powered yacht

Norwegian  company  Norled  has successfully launched the world’s first ferry that   runs on liquid hydrogen . The ship is named  MF Hydra  which is a hybrid that uses batteries and liquid hydrogen fuel cells. Earlier this year it was tested for invention at Helmeland ferries and after two weeks of sea trials the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA) has given the final approval to operate the ferry.

17. Daniil Medvedev won the first title of Miami Open 2023

Russian  tennis star  Daniil Medved  won   his fourth title this year by defeating Janic Sinner  at  the MIMI Opens 2023 . With this win, he won his first Mimee Open title. The Mimee Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually at Mimee Gardens in the state of Florida in the United States.

18. Max Verstappen Wins Wild Australian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen  of  Red Bull  has won  his first  Australian Grand Prix 2023 . Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who drove brilliantly in his Mercedes, finished second, while Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso finished third on the podium.

19. Mahavir Jayanti

Recently, Vice President  Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar  congratulated  the countrymen  on Mahavir Jayanti . This  Jainism It is an auspicious day for the followers of Jainism as it marks the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira, who was the last Tirthankara of Jainism. Lord Mahavir was born on the 13th day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. As per the Gregorian calendar, it is usually celebrated in the month of March or April. On Mahavir Jayanti, the idol of Lord Mahavira is taken out in a procession called Rath Yatra and the idol is given a ceremonial bath called Abhishek. Devotees recite Jain prayers or hymns in praise of the Lord. Mahavira’s teachings revolved around the principles of non-violence, truth, celibacy and non-violence. He emphasized the importance of non-violence, truth, asteya, chastity and non-attachment, which were later compiled in the Jain Agamas. His teachings were simple and easy to understand as the medium of instruction was in Prakrit language; A language that common people could understand. Lord Mahavira is believed to have died at the age of 72 and attained moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death at Pawapuri near modern Rajgir in Bihar. The celebration of Mahavir Jayanti is an occasion for people to reflect on these principles and strive to lead an ethical and spiritual life.

20. International Mine Awareness Day: 4 April

International Mine Awareness Day  is observed  on  4 April  every year to raise awareness about the danger of  landmines  and  explosive remnants of war . The day was first celebrated in 2006 after it was established by the United Nations General Assembly. The theme for 2023 International Mine Awareness Day is ” Mine Action Can Not Wait “. The theme was chosen by the UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) to draw attention to the urgent need to address long-standing problems caused by explosive mines in countries such as Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
