England’s experienced bowler, who was left out of the first Test against the West Indies, made a brilliant comeback and contributed to the team’s victory. In the first innings of Manchest Tasteat, he took 4 important wickets in the second. As soon as he took the third wicket in the second innings, Broad became the second England bowler to take 500 Test wickets and the seventh bowler in the world. 7.ICC World Cup Super League criticized by former English captain, complicated:-  Former England captain Michael Atherton believes that the One Day Super League of the International Cricket Council (ICC) is highly complex and the governing body should have developed a simple qualification system for the 2023 World Cup to be held in India.

The ICC started the ODI International Super League on Monday, which will decide the teams participating in the 2023 Men’s World Cup. Host India and seven top teams will get direct entry to the World Cup. The Super League will begin with a series between world champions England and Ireland starting on 30 July. Atherton said, ‘Whatever happens there is a logic behind it but it gets quite complicated because you try to connect the two systems together. You had the ICC Global Competitions – World Cup, World T20 and Champions Trophy – and you are trying to link it to the normal bilateral series which is part of the Future Tour Program (FTP) where each team is against each other Plays. It is very difficult to connect these two things and in the end it happens.

At the same time, former England captain Andrew Strauss said, ‘It makes sense to try to find any smooth process but it is not possible. We all talk about meaningless bilateral cricket which has no relevance and then when the ICC tries to combine everything with the World Test champions, everyone says that the points system is very complex and then they (ICC) are going to the Super League They try and they (people) say why they are doing this. ‘
