1.The Foreign Ministry suspended the validity of the passport of Neerav Modi and his partner Mehul Vigilance for four weeks :-

In connection with the Punjab National Bank scam, the Ministry of External Affairs has suspended the legitimacy of passports of billionaire businessman Neerav Modi and his partner Mehul Vigyan for four weeks. The Enforcement Directorate wrote a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs seeking this.

In this connection, the Directorate raided several campuses of Neerav Modi in Mumbai, Delhi and Gujarat yesterday. During this period diamonds, jewelery and gold worth 5000 one hundred crore rupees were recovered.

 

2.After Jacob Zuma’s resignation in South Africa, Cyril Ramphosa took the oath of office :-

In South Africa, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party chief Cyril Ramphosa has been sworn in as president. After the resignation of Jacob Zuma, he was elected the new president of the country. There are four hundred members in the South African Parliament, with the majority of the ruling African National Congress-ANC Party. Parliament elected Ramafossa as the President for the remaining tenure of Jacob Zuma His tenure will be completed in 2019.

 

3.Long-term plan and strategy to maintain confidence among people in Delhi Police: Rajnath Singh :-

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has asked the Delhi Police to create long-term plans and strategies to maintain confidence among the people so that they can feel secure themselves. At a function organized in New Delhi on the establishment day of Delhi Police, Shri Singh said that people have many expectations from Delhi Police and keeping this in mind, they need to be more alert and vigilant. Shri Singh also announced to give five crore rupees for the Delhi Police martyr fund on this occasion. He also awarded policemen with police medal.

 

4.CBI searches in 20 places of Gitanjali Group in six cities :-

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the premises of Gitanjali Company Group on 20 locations in six cities on Friday. Companies of Gitanjali Group are related to Mehol Choksi. CBI is investigating the company’s premises in Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. On February 13, the CBI filed an FIR against Gitanjali Group companies after receiving a complaint from Punjab National Bank.

 

5.Ayushman Bharat Scheme will revolutionize medical sector in the country: PM :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the newly built Dorji Khandu State Conference Center in Itanagar, capital of Arunachal Pradesh. During this, Shri Modi said that the government has taken several steps to reduce the cost of medical treatment. He said that eight hundred types of medicines are available at affordable rates through the Jana Drug Center. The Prime Minister said that the Ayushman Bharat Scheme will bring revolution in the field of medicine in the country.

 

6.The Election Commission reviewed Meghalaya assembly elections preparations :-

The entire election commission will review the preparations for the assembly elections on Friday for the second day in Meghalaya. Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat along with two other Election Commissioners arrived in Shillong on Thursday. He held several meetings with various political parties, election officials and police officers.

The Election Commission will meet on Friday with Income Tax, Products, Drug Control, and Reserve Bank officials.

On the other hand, illegal money of Rs. 43 lakhs, more than thirty-five thousand bottles of liquor, arms, shootout and drugs were recovered in Nagaland.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is on a two-day visit to Kerala from Friday. They will give Chitra Tirunal Memorial lecture at the function organized at Kannakakunu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram today. After this, Mr. Naidu will leave for Kozhikode. Where he will address the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Rosetul Uloom on Saturday.
