1.Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee dies, he was ill for long :-

Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has died. He was 93 years old. Atal ji was running ill for a long time. He had been admitted to AIIMS on June 11 due to trouble in breathing and infection in urine and kidneys. On 15th August, his health had worsened, after which he was put on a life support system. According to AIIMS, on Wednesday morning, Vajpayee had trouble breathing. After this he was given the necessary medicines, kept on the life support system. Among the founders of BJP, Shri Vajpayee was the Prime Minister of the country 3 times. He was the first non-Congress Prime Minister, Who completed his term. He was honored with Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor of the country. He had retired from active politics some 13 years ago. He was elected to the Lok Sabha ten times and was also a member of the Rajya Sabha twice. He held the responsibilities of the Prime Minister three times and for the first time 13 days, second time 13 months and for the third time for four and a half years he was the Prime Minister of the country. Even mourning condolences on behalf of opposition parties including the Indian government are being expressed on the demise of Shri Vajpayee and the wave of grief is being seen throughout the country.

 

2.Electronics and Mechanical Engineering Cycling Campaign :-

Indian Corps Electronics and Mechanical Engineer Corps is conducting a bicycle campaign on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee. On August 15, 2018, on the occasion of Independence Day, the team was flagged off from MCEME Secunderabad.

4.India’s two-thirds preparing for ‘Gaganayan’ campaign – ISRO Chairman :-
