2.A Zimbabwean court named constitutional authority to overthrow the military and oust former President Robert Mugabe :-

A Zimbabwean court has declared the constitution of the army and the abolition of former President Robert Mugabe as constitutional. While expressing concern about the rule of law under the new administration of the country, yesterday the court gave this arrangement.

A minister of the Mugabe government also appeared in the court for corruption charges.

A lot of people in Zimbabwe celebrated the end of 37 years of Mugabe rule, but they suspect that under the leadership of President Emerson Mannagagua, the new government would not be proven to be autocratic.

 

3.Shri Modi appealed to people to cleanliness in the program of mind from Akashwani :-

4.External Affairs Minister thanked the international community for the support of Justice Dalveer Bhandari again in ICJ :-

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has thanked the international community for giving support to the decision of the Indian Justice Dalveer Bhandari in the International Court.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar said on Twitter that Mrs Swaraj thanked the governments of other countries during the reception organized for diplomats. Justice Bhandari was also present in the function.

 

5.Polling is going on in 25 districts in the second phase of urban local bodies of three-phase elections in Uttar Pradesh :-

In Uttar Pradesh, in the second phase of the elections of urban local bodies of three phases, voting is being held in 25 districts today.

There are six municipal corporations – Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Mathura, Allahabad, Lucknow and Varanasi, 51 municipal councils and 132 municipal councils in the state. In view of voting, strict security arrangements have been made.

Voting started between strict security at almost all polling stations. Voters are given information about their polling booths, SMS and voter slip distributed. Security arrangements have been made for free and fair elections.

Along with the State Police, forty companies of Central Paramilitary Forces and PAC’s IKA companies have been deployed. Webcasting of voting process is being done from one thousand two hundred and four sensitive voting sites.

 

6.Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed on the need to remove malnutrition :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the need to make concrete work to overcome the problems of children’s incomplete physical development, malnutrition, weight loss and lack of blood in the body in the country.

Shri Modi reviewed the efforts being made towards reducing nutritional and related problems. He said that the 75th anniversary of independence should be clearly visible by 2022.

Senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Policy Commission and other ministries were present at a high level meeting in New Delhi. Shri Modi told the central and state governments that all those programs have to run together, which have direct or indirect impact on the results of nutrition. Senior officials said that the central government programs such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Mission Indradhanush, Beti Bachao-Beti Padhas and Prime Minister Matri Vandana Yojana are having a positive effect on the nutrition.

 

7.Gold and silver prices continue to decline due to lack of demand :-

Due to the lack of international demand and decrease in demand, gold also fell on Saturday. On this, the yellow metal fell by Rs. 75 to Rs. 30,000 450 per ten grams in the local bullion market. 8.The Government notified rates after GST of the tax refund scheme applied to exports of stitched fabrics :-

The government has notified the rates of tax return under the state tax return scheme on exported textiles and goods. Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani announced these rates in the tweet message. These rates will be applicable from 1st October this year. He said that this will help in increasing the export of textiles and employment opportunities will also increase.

Mrs. Irani said that the Government has announced to increase the incentive amount to four percent of the export price under the Product Export Scheme. It will be applicable from 1st November to next year of June this year.

 

9.PV Sindhu defeats Chinese Taipei Tai-Ju-Ying in final of Hong Kong Badminton Open :-

Chinese Taipei’s Tai Zu Ying defeated PV Sindhu of India 21-18, 21-18 in the women’s singles finals of the Hong Kong Open Super Series Badminton Tournament on Sunday. In the semi-finals, Sindhu defeated Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon and Tai Xu Ying defeated Korea’s Sung Ji Hyun.

 

10.India’s five-player gold medal for women’s boxing championship in Guwahati :-

Five Indians will play in final of women’s World boxing championship in Guwahati today. Neetu in 48 kg weight category, Jyoti Gulia in 51kg category, Sakshi Chopra in 54 kgs, Shashi Chopra in 57 kg and Ankushita Borou in 64 kg weight category will win. This is India’s best performance in this competition. Prior to this, Sarjubala Devi won the only gold medal in 2011.
