Himachal Pradesh was the topper in achieving the target of 100 percent first dose of anti-corona vaccine across the country. Now this state has also becomethe first state to complete vaccination by completing the target of second dose of The Himachal Pradesh government will organize a massive program at the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences-AIIMS, Bilaspur to mark 100% second dose of anti-COVID vaccine to all eligible people in the state. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister and local MP Anurag Singh Thakur, Bharatiya Janata Party National President Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will attend the event.
- The 11th Ekuverin exercise between India and Maldives will begin at Kadhu Island, Maldives.
The 11th edition of the Ekuverin military exercise between India and Maldives will be held from 6 to 19 December 2021 at Kadhu Island , Maldives . The exercise will help the armed forces of both the countries in combating international terrorism and crushing insurgency operations both on land and water. This will enhance synergy between the two for best military activities and sharing of experiences. Apart from rigorous training, joint military exercises will also include cultural and sports activities to enhance defense cooperation and bilateral ties.

Indian Navy‘s state-of-the-art survey vessel ‘ Sandhayak ‘ was launched from Garden Reach Shipyard in Kolkata for patrolling in the Indian Ocean . Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Defense was the chief guest on the occasion, his wife Pushpa Bhatt commissioned the ship. The ships have been designed by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited, GRSE to meet the requirements of the Indian Navy .
- New Zealand’s Ajaz Patel became the third bowler in the history of Test cricket to take all ten wickets in an innings.
Ajaz Patel of New Zealand has created history by taking 10 wickets in a single innings in Test cricket . He has become the third bowler after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble to achieve this feat . Left-arm bowler Ejaz Patel dismissed all ten players in India’s first innings during the second Test between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Patel took 10 for 119 and bowled India out for 325. Patel achieved this feat in his birth place, Mumbai. He was born in Mumbai and his family moved to New Zealand at the age of eight.

Colva and Benaulim beaches in GoaIt is one of the famous beaches of the world. Situated on the coastal region of Goa, these beaches are visited by both domestic and international tourists throughout the year. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has sanctioned the fund under Swadesh Darshan Yojana-II as it needs proper development, up-gradation planning, refurbishment in these areas. This allows all tourism facilities to be accommodated to promote the tourism industry in Goa.
- Face recognition technology to be used in airports from 2022
Air travelers can use face scan as their boarding pass from 2022 . The first airports to start this facility are Kolkata, Pune, Varanasi and Vijayawada . This project will be implemented as part of Digi Yatra policy . This policy is being implemented by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Under this, the ministry aims to provide biometric based digital processing of passengers at airports. It helps the passengers to pass through the security scanner faster.
- UAE buys record 80 Rafale fighter jets
United Arab Emirates (UAE) by France with 80 Rafale fighters for 14 billion euros have signed the agreement. This is the largest ever international order for Rafale jets . The UAE and France recently signed a deal worth 17 billion euros. Under this deal, the UAE will buy 80 Rafale fighter jets and 12 Caracal military transport helicopters . The deal will support 7,000 jobs in France. Also, it will be Dassault Aviation till 2031.Will guarantee the supply chain of manufactured aircraft. United Arab Emirates’ rival Qatar recently bought 36 Rafale jets from France. The Rafale jets will replace the UAE’s Mirage 2000 fleet. The UAE is one of the largest customers of the French defense industry. Between 2011 and 2020, the UAE has purchased military equipment worth 4.7 billion euros from France. This has made the UAE the fifth largest arms customer of France.
- Government of India refuses to accept Paika Rebellion as First War of Independence
The Paika Rebellion was fought by the Paika people of Retail in Odisha . It was led by Bakshi Jagabandhu Vidyadhara . This rebellion against the British took place in the 1820s . The central government has recently refused to accept the Paika rebellion as the first war of independence . In 2017, the Odisha government demanded that the Odisha rebellion be declared as the first war of independence. At present, the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 is called the First War of Independence. The Central Government consulted the Indian Council of Historical Research. ICHR is not working under the Ministry of Education. According to the ICHR, this rebellion was called the freedomCannot be called the first war . However, considering its importance, the Government of India has decided to include it in the syllabus of the NCERT class VIII history textbook .

- IOM launches 11th edition of World Migration Report 2022
The International Organization for Migration (IOM)of the United Nations launched its flagship publication World Migration Report 2022 , 11th edition . It states that global international migration has increased from 84 million globally in 1970 to 281 million in 2020, with the proportion of international migrants increasing from 2.3% of the global population to 3.6%. This 2022 report says that climate change has displaced more people than conflicts. The report facilitates regular data collection by the Internal Displacement Monitoring Center (IDMC).
- West Bengal gets $135 million World Bank loan to improve power supply efficiency, reliability
The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the lending arm of the World Bank Group, has approved a USD 135 million loan to West Bengal (WB) to improve operational efficiency and reliability of power supply in selected areas in the state. . The variable spread loan or floating interest loan will have a maturity of 17 years, which includes a grace period of 7 years. It aims to strengthen the distribution network, invest in smart-grid technologies and ensure financial stability of state discoms (distribution companies).

Kotak Mahindra Bank has partnered with Europe- based payment and transaction services firm, Worldline to enable Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) payments through Kotak Debit Cards in India.announced a partnership with Kotak Debit Card EMI is available for all consumers, retailers, fashion and electronic products to make easy installment payments using Worldline Point of Sale (POS) terminals. Worldline dominates Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. It manages over 15 lakh merchants and enables Kotak Debit Cardholders to access their EMI facilities. The minimum purchase is Rs 5,000 to avail EMI services with Kotak Debit Card. Customers have the flexibility to repay their loans in a period of 3 to 12 months.
- Paytm signs MoU with Ministry of Skill Development to train youth in FinTech industry
Paytm signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Training (DGT) , Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship , to train 6000 individuals for 3 years in the FinTech industry . The trainees will undertake a six month program which has been designed by Paytm in consultation with DGT. This collaboration is part of DGT’s Flexible-MoU. The course equips trainees with the fundamentals of the latest fintech Internet of Things (IoT) products and financial services, as well as professional skills, communication, sales and pitch, and on-the-job training. After completion of the course Paytm will provide employment to the eligible trainees. DGT plays a vital role in vocational and craft based training of eligible youth in the country.

- OECD forecasts India’s growth rate to be 9.4% in FY22
The Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has lowered India’s growth forecast for fiscal year 2022 to 9.4% from 9.7% projected in September 2021 . The OECD has projected India’s growth rate to be 8.1% in FY2023 and 5% in FY2024, citing the Indian economy as medium. The OECD lowered its 2021 global growth forecast to 5.6% from 5.7% earlier. According to the OEC, low-skilled domestic migrants and urban workers, who suffered employment shocks in both waves of the pandemic in India, are yet to return to pre-pandemic levels in their earning levels.
