1.IAF successfully fires BrahMos air version missile from frontline Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft:-

Indian Air Force successfully fired the BrahMos air version missile from its frontline Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft.
Defence Ministry said in a release that the launch from the aircraft was smooth and the missile followed the desired trajectory before directly hitting the land target.the air launched BrahMos missile is a 2.5 ton supersonic air to surface cruise missile. The Inidan Air Force became the first Air Force in the world to have successfully fired an air launched 2.8 Mach surface attack missile of this category on a sea target on Novemebr 2017. Today’s was the second such live launch of the weapon. The BrahMos missile provides Indian Air Force a much desired capability to strike from large stand-off ranges on any target at sea or on land with pinpoint accuracy by day or night and in all weather conditions.

2.Ship of the Indian Coast Guard belongs to the Assam Rifles (Naga Hills), battalion:-

In an effort to increase the cooperation of inter-armed forces and use each other’s skills for training and sports, the Director General of Assam Rifles and Director General of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), in an excellent ceremony in Laitakore, Shillong, today called Assam Rifles Signed the affiliation charter between the third (Naga Hills) battalion and the ship’s bravery of the Indian Coast Guard.Assam Rifles is India’s oldest semi-military force. Its history has been of bravery, courage and tradition. There are 46 battalions of the Assam Rifles which are engaged in the defense of the India-Myanmar border and anti-insurgency operations in the North-Eastern states. In contrast, the Indian Coast Guard is the youngest armed force under the Ministry of Defense with 42 ships and 62 planes.Third (Naga Hills) battalion Assam Rifles is the oldest force in the armed forces. It was formed in 1835 to protect the eastern border of Assam from the Brahmaputra river to the hills of Kachar with 750 personnel of all ranks as  Kachar Levi . Now this battalion has been developed in Kohima, Nagaland. In Kohima, Nagaland, this battalion had bravely fought with the Japanese army in World War II and prevented them from growing in India.Coast Guard Shaurya is built in Goa Shipyard Limited and it is in Chennai. The state-of-the-art 150 meter long offshore surveillance ship (OPV) was commissioned on August 12, 2017. Shaurya Shastak shows the commitment of the Indian Coast Guard to serve and protect the country’s maritime interests. This vessel has been developed extensively for EEZ surveillance and duties included in Coast Guard Chartered for the country’s marine defense. The aim of the affiliation is to promote bilateral cooperation for improving fellow feeling among each other for the exchange of information / personnel, training, sports / adventure and sustainable development between Assam Rifles and ICG. This affiliation will help the pratah of the North-East to work on a professional and social platform with seafaring and share experiences and best practices.Both Armed Forces will benefit by motivating similar goals. The personnel of the Assam Rifles will be able to stop the anti-national elements and non-state people or organizations working in the form of the Maritime Service (Indian Coast Guard) and the threat to maritime / coastal security. Similarly, the ICG personnel will be able to see and understand the works of Assam Rifles near Indo-Myanmar Seam.The Exchanges will be held on 11-12 June, 2019 on the Indian Coast Guard shipments.

3.PSLV-C46 successfully launched REIT-2B:- 

India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV- C46) successfully launched REIT-2B from Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh today . This was the 72st launch vehicle mission of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota and this was the 36th launch from the First Launch Pad .PSLV-C46 flew 05:30 am (IST) from the first launch pad and installed RISAT-2B in 556 km orbit after 15 minutes and 25 seconds after the flight. After separation, the RISAT-2B solar equipment were automatically deployed and the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTAC) located in Bangalore took control of the RISAT-2B. In the coming days, the satellite will get complete operational status.The reasset-2b weighs 615 kilograms and is a radar imaging earth supervision satellite. This satellite will provide services in areas of agriculture  forestry and disaster relief.ISRO chairman Dr. K Shivan congratulated the launch vehicle and satellite teams operating in the mission. He said that with this launch, PSLV has launched 354 satellites and has delivered 50 tons of load in space. These satellites include national and foreign satellites.Dr. K. Shivan also congratulated the teams for the two MLPs installed in the mission – Economical Navigation System (INS) for economically developed MEMS based development process developed by Vikram Processors developed by Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL) , Chandigarh and ISRO Internal System Unit, Thiruvananthapuram. He said that Reset-2B is a modern Earth Supervision Satellite and uses 3.6 m radial rib antenna technology.About five thousand people saw the launch program from the audience gallery  which was kept open to the public.ISRO is now preparing to launch Chandrayaan-2 from July 9 to July 16  2019 . It is expected that Chandrayaan-2 will land on the moon on September 6, 2019.

4.Telangana city offers last rites for poor at Rs 1:-

Seeking to ensure a decent funeral for the poor, the civic body in Karimnagar city of Telangana will launch a scheme next month under which last rites can be performed for just one rupee.The ‘Antim Yatra Aakhri Safar’ would be launched on June 15 and Rs 1.10 crore had already been allotted for the initiative, which would take care of the funeral as per the religious customs of the deceased.The middle and low-income group people can avail the facility by paying only Rs 1 as charges for cremation.The scheme will be extended to all, irrespective of caste and religion.Under the scheme, the municipal corporation of the town will provide wood, pieces of sandalwood and kerosene to the family of the deceased for performing the last rites.

5.Sunny Pawar wins ‘Best Child Actor’ at DFW South Asian Film Festival:-

After a big win at the New York Indian Film Festival, ‘Lion’ fame Sunny Pawar won the ‘Best Child Actor’ award for ‘Chippa’ at the 5th DFW South Asian Film Festival.The festival focuses on a wide range of films promoting the perspectives and voices of the South Asian community.The 11-year-old boy Sunny shot to fame with Australian director Garth Davis’ acclaimed 2016 film ‘Lion’ for which he won an AACTA award.Written and directed by Safdar Rahman, ‘Chippa’ is a coming of age film about a 10-year-old boy who on the eve of his tenth birthday receives a letter from his long-absent father. He then decides to leave his pavement abode to find his father.

6.South Africa: Cyril Ramaphosa re-elected as president:-

South African lawmakers have re-elected Cyril Ramaphosa as the president of the country. Members of Parliament from the African National Congress have chosen the head of state in the parliament’s first post-election sitting.The party won 230 out of 400 seats in the election on May 8. The African National Congress party won the ballot with 57.5 per cent of the vote, its thinnest majority since the end of apartheid.Ramaphosa will be sworn in on Saturday and name a deputy president and cabinet at the weekend.

7.Reliance beats Indian Oil Corp to become the biggest Indian company by revenue:-

Richest Indian Mukesh Ambani’s oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries has toppled state-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) to become the country’s biggest company by revenue.Reliance in the 2018-19 fiscal year that ended March 31, reported a turnover of Rs 6.23 lakh crore.In comparison, IOC posted a turnover of Rs 6.17 lakh crore for the fiscal, according to regulatory filings by the two companies.It was also the most profitable company in the country with a net profit of more than double that of IOC in FY2019.
