1.Under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban), more than 165,000 people benefitted between 2015-18, subsidy of Rs 3,559 crore was given in :- 
2018-19 in addition to the budget of Rs 31,505 crore.

Under the Credit Linked Scheme, more than 1,65,000 people have benefited between the year 2015-18. Between 2008 and 2013, only 18,166 people got the benefit of the scheme of interest subsidy. The performance of the present plan has been spectacular and more people have received benefits than before.

 2.CBSE declared the results of Class X examination: Thiruvananthapuram Region with the highest percentage of 499 marks, four students topped :-

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the results of Class X examination. With the pass percentage of 99.60, the Thiruvananthapuram region performed best in all the states. In Chennai , Chennai was second with 97.37 percent , while Ajmer was third with 91.86 percent. A total of 16,24,682 students appeared in the examination, of whom 14,08,594 were successful in the examination. The total pass percentage of this year is 86.70. Four students topped with 499 points – Prakhar mittal, Rimzim Agarwal, Nandini Garg,Lakshmi ji.

 3.India has signed a $ 21.7 million loan agreement with the World Bank to strengthen public financial management in the Rajasthan project :-

On the loan agreement of US $ 21.7 million from the World Bank for the strengthening of public financial management in the Rajasthan project, today in New Delhi by the Indian Government, Joint Secretary (FB and ADB), Department of Economic Affairs, in the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Sameer Kumar Khare and the World On behalf of the bank, Mr. Hisham Abdo, Executive Country Director, World Bank (India) signed. On behalf of the Rajasthan Government on the implementation unit agreement signed by the Secretary (Finance) and the World Bank on behalf of World Bank (India) Acting Country Director.

4.Power Minister Shri R.K. Singh launches receipt app and web portal to bring transparency in power payments to growers:-

Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge) Shri R.K. Singh launched today’s web portal and app procurement (payment confirmation and electricity purchase analysis to bring transparency in the invoices of producers)   www.praapti.in . On this occasion, Secretary, Shri A.K. Bhalla and senior officials of the Ministry of Power, Chairman and Managing Director of PFC, Chairman and Managing Director of various public establishments of the power sector and various officers were present.

The acquisition app and web portals have been developed to bring transparency among electricity producers and power distribution companies in power purchase.

 5.BJP President Amit Shah launched a contact campaign to support the NDA government’s 4-year anniversary :-

Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah launched a contact campaign for support in Delhi under which people will be given information about the functions and achievements of the Narendra Modi government. This campaign was started from the residence of former army chief Dalbir Singh Suhag. The party has started the campaign after the completion of four years of NDA government in view of preparations for the Lok Sabha elections next year. Under this, Mr. Shah will contact at least fifty people personally.

6.Fellows of the Australian Academy of Science :-

Indian origin innovator Veena Sahaswala has been selected as the Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science this year. He is among 21 eminent Australian scientists.

Veena has been selected as a Fellow of the prestigious academy for his contributions to revolutionizing recycling science.

Founded in the year 1954, this academy said that these people have been honored for significant contribution in respective scientific fields.

Indian-language Veena Internationally renowned material is scientist, engineer and investigator. He is currently Associate Dean in Science Faculty of New South Wales University, Sydney.

 7.Tax exemption from farming, forestry, fishing services: Ministry of Finance :-

The government has clarified that no change has been made in the taxation related to farmers in the GST Act applicable in July last year. The Finance Ministry has said that related services like agriculture, forestry, fishery and animal husbandry have been kept free from the goods and services tax.

 

8.Defense Purchase Council approves the purchase of 69 billion rupees of defense equipments :-

The Defense Purchase Council has approved the defense forces for defense equipment worth more than Rs. 69 billion. The Council has approved the purchase of thermal imaging night sites for the purpose of rocket launchers by the Army and Air Force for correct targets in the night darkness.

The Council has approved the design and development of long distance Dual Brand Infrared Imaging Search and Track System for Su-30MKI aircraft. This system will work both day and night and will increase the capacity of aircraft. Along with these clearances, the Council has carried forward the work of modernization of the Armed Forces in the last eight months, with emphasis on indigenization. The purchase of equipment worth Rs 44 thousand crore was approved, in which equipment of more than Rs 32 thousand crore would be made in India.

9.Big bets on cow: Yogi Sarkar will give two cows to each landless farmer :-

Before the general elections next year, the BJP government can go a long way in wooing the poor, especially Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It will be a bargain to give a free native cow to every landless farmer in the state. The given cows will be of advanced species corresponding to the tradition of the agricultural climate zone.

10.RCOM offers advance payment of 500 crores to Ericsson :-

RCOM today offered an advance payment of 500 crores to its operations creditor Ericsson. It is worth noting that Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson had filed a petition against RCom for initiating a bankrupt procedure, which was approved by the NCLT.

During the proceedings of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), appearing on behalf of RCom, senior advocate Kapil Sibbal suggested an advance payment. At the same time, during the hearing, NCLAT Bench chief SJ Mukhopadhyay has allowed the two companies to settle.
