1 India once again remains at 40th position in the Global Innovation Index.

India  has retained the 40th position  in   the Global Innovation Index . NITI Aayog said that  India’s 40th position among the economies of 132 countries included in the Global Innovation Index remains intact  . Switzerland  ranked first  in  the 2023 Global Innovation Index (GII) for the 13th consecutive year. this ranking  by World Intellectual Property Organization Has issued. NITI Aayog said that India has been leading in the global innovation index for the last several years. India’s rank was 81st in 2015 which will become 40th in 2023. NITI Aayog said that knowledge capital and effective startup ecosystem and significant work of government and private research organizations have improved India’s position in the Global Innovation Index. The Commission has said that Atal Innovation Mission has also played a big role in this. NITI Aayog is contributing to national efforts to promote policy innovation in areas such as electric vehicles, biotechnology, nanotechnology, space and alternative energy.

5 Uttar Pradesh achieves 100 percent ODF Plus coverage under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin

Uttar Pradesh  has  achieved another major achievement under  Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) Phase II  . All 95,767 villages in the state i.e.  100 percent villages  have achieved ODF Plus status  under Phase II of the Mission. An ODF Plus village is one that has  maintained its open defecation free (ODF) status while also implementing solid or liquid waste management systems  . Till date, 4.4 lakh (75 per cent) villages across the country have declared themselves as ODF Plus, which is an important step towards achieving the targets of SBM-G Phase II by 2024-25.

18 Central government extended AFSPA for six months in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland

The central government   has extended  AFSPA  (Armed Forces Special Powers Act)  in  Nagaland  and  Arunachal Pradesh for six months  from  October 1, 2023 . 22 116th birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh

Bhagat Singh was  born   as Bhaganwala on September 28, 1907 and was brought up in a Sandhu Jat farmer family of Jalandhar district located in the Doab region of Punjab.  He belonged to a generation that intervened in two crucial phases of the Indian national movement – ​​first, the Lal-Bal-Pal phase of ‘extremism’ and second, the Gandhian phase of non-violent mass action. He started a militant youth organization called Naujawan Bharat Sabha. 25 Father of Green Revolution and famous agricultural scientist M.S. Swaminathan passes away in Chennai.

Renowned  agricultural scientist  and   father  of India’s Green Revolution, M.S.  Swaminathan   passed away at his residence in Chennai . He was 98 years old. Swaminathan brought social revolution through his policies in  the 1960s. Saved India from famine like situation. He established the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation and developed high-yield wheat seeds that led to the Green Revolution in India.
