1.For the private agencies and institutional agencies, the government has revised the dealer margin (trader benefit) 354 rupees per tonne of urea from April 1, 2018. This move will benefit about 23,000 traders across the country, which will increase their financial viability since the implementation of DBT :-

The government has approved amendment in dealer margin for the payment of equal benefits to all traders / distributors for the sale of urea. According to the new rate, the dealer margin has been fixed at Rs 354 per tonne. The revised rate will be applicable from 1 April 2018. Dealer Marjan will be paid only to traders who sell urea through POS equipment.

At present, distribution of urea to private agencies and cooperatives is being distributed / dealership, as per the notification of June 18, 1999, Rs 180 per tonne on sale through private business and Rs 200 per sale through institutional agencies Tons are given at the rate. After the government’s decision to implement Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) in the Fertilizer Sector, the demand for increasing distribution / dealer margin by traders and fertilizer companies was continuously being ensured to ensure the financial viability of the traders after implementation of DBT.

Apart from this, interest on a quarterly basis is given at a rate of 6.6 to 7.4 per cent for the term deposit of 1 to 5 years,
