1.Kega nuclear power plant created world record, PM Modi congratulates:-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian scientists and engineers on creating a record keeping in continuous operation of the Kaga nuclear power plant located in Karnataka. The Prime Minister said that once again Indian scientists and engineers have made the world record proud by making the world record proud. PM Modi gave this information on social networking site Twitter. He wrote in the tweet, “The name of Indian scientists and engineers is another world record. Unit 220 of the 220 MW capacity developed at the Kaga Atomic Power Station (KAPS) of the Indian Atomic Energy Corporation (NPCIL), has consistently maintained its record in operation more than 940 days. This is a great achievement for the country. Congratulations to all the people associated with the Indian nuclear energy program.

Let us know that before this, the world record was the name of the UK-Heshem-2 unit-8. This unit had set a record of 940 days continuous operation in 2016, which has now been broken by India’s Caga nuclear power plant. The name of the world’s 6 nuclear reactors comes in the record of continuous power generation. In which the third unit of Rajasthan Atomic Power Station has produced 778 days and 5th unit 765 days continuously.

2.President addressed the establishment function of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parish of Gorakhpur:- 

President Shri Ramnath Kondid addressed the establishment function of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.On this occasion, the President said that Gorakhnath Peeth has made significant contribution in promoting knowledge and awareness in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The Council has helped in building character by respecting the culture of youth and the sense of devotion to the nation and the sense of preparedness for social work.

3.Thousands of migratory birds have gathered in the Jamia dera:- 

About five thousand migratory birds have arrived in the bird sanctuary of Jammu. Domestic Bird Vihara is located 30 kilometers away from Jammu, near the International Border.

Surrounded by swamped areas such as Makwal, Kukdiyan,   Abdululyan  and Pargwal, this bird sanctuary has local and migratory birds of over one hundred and seventy-two species in winter season, which makes it an attractive place for bird lovers.

Jammu’s Forest Guard Shehzad Chaudhary said that the number of migratory birds could increase in the coming week. He said that all types of arrangements have been made in Bird Sanctuary for the protection of such birds.

4.In the historic Janakpur city of Nepal, the marriage ceremony of Lord Rama and Sita – the marriage Panchami started:-

In the historic Janakpur city of Nepal, the marriage ceremony of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita – the marriage Panchami has started. Various customs of the marriage of Shriram and Sita are being done in these festivals, which are celebrated with enthusiasm and religious zeal.Dhanush Yagnya was organized on the evening of the famous Barhabibha ground, the festival of bow-breaking , in which thousands of pilgrims from India and Nepal participated , including hundreds of sadhus. Swayamwar and the marriage ceremony will take place on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister Lalababu Rout of province 2 of Nepal will be present on this occasion. Wedding Panchami is celebrated annually in Nepal. In the festivals organized during this period, the centuries-old social and cultural relations of India and Nepal are also displayed.

5.Successful test of Agni missile-5, which runs long range:- 

Successful testing of the Agni-5 missile capable of carrying long-range hitting and surface-to-surface weapons from surface to surface was tested. The missile was launched through the mobile launcher from Dr. Abdul Kalam Island near Odisha coast. In the presence of scientists of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Tactical Force command was conducted and monitored for the complete process of launch.All mission objectives were successfully completed. This test has happened in the past several successful tests. This has strengthened the country’s immense capacity. Agni -5 is an indigenous missile built by the efforts of scientists.

6.India won the first Test in Adelaide by 31 runs, took the lead in a series of four matches in the four-match series:-

India won the first Test played by Australia in Adelaide by 31 runs and took a zero lead in the four-match series. Chasing the target of 323 runs, the Australians were all out for 119 runs in 119 balls for 291 runs. Australia started playing on 104 for four wickets. To win, he needed 219 runs. Earlier, batting first, India scored 250 runs in their first innings.

7.Hockey World Cup: Today France will face China from China and England will play New Zealand:-

In the Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar, France will face France and England will be up against New Zealand. Teams of India , Australia , Argentina and Germany have reached the quarterfinals. All these teams have been at the top of their group.In Sunday’s match, Germany defeated Malaysia 5-3 to enter the quarter-finals. In another match, the Netherlands defeated Pakistan 5-1 in Pool D.

8.Cheteshwar Pujara has given some such direction to Rahul Dravid, ‘Man of the Match’:-

The Adelaide Test match proved to be very special for Cheteshwar Pujara as well as the Indian team. When the Indian team made history in this match, Pujara was chosen as the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. In the victory of the Indian team, so many players contributed, but the most important role was that of Pujara. Pujara pumped the ball from the host team and even made a century. After winning the title of Man of the Match by Pujara, the BCCI also congratulated them by tweeting. In the first innings, Pujara played the struggling Indian team out of trouble and scored a fine 123 off 246 balls. His innings brought the Indian team to the front foot. In the second innings, he also batted with a magnificent innings of 71, facing 204 balls. After his great batting, he was selected Player of the Match. After winning this title, many people congratulated him but the BCCI’s congratulatory message was the most special. With the congratulations, the BCCI recalled the memorable win in Adelaide in 2003. In this match Rahul Dravid became Man of the Match and he played the same role in the Indian team’s victory which Pujara played this time. In the match played in 2003, Dravid played a fine innings of 233 in the first innings and in the second match, he scored an unbeaten 72 and gave the Indian team a victory. The most common point of both of these victories was that team India won the match because of the number three batsman. Recalling the victory, the BCCI tweeted. In his tweets, the BCCI wrote that history repeated itself. In 2003 the Adelaide Test became the number three Dravid Player of the Match and in 2018, the team’s number three batsman Pujara Man of the Match will be made.

9.Big relief on pension plans, 60 percent exit from NPS will be tax free at the time of retirement:-

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced some changes in the National Pension Scheme (NPS). The central cabinet has announced that the government’s contribution in NPS will be increased from 10 percent to 14 percent. At the same time, after the retirement of the government, 60 percent of the amount withdrawn from the NPS account tax free. However, the contribution of employees in NPS will be 10 per cent.

Addressing the media, Jaitley said that keeping in mind the interests of the employees, major changes have been made in NPS. Under NPS, account holders can withdraw 60 percent of the total deposits while the remaining 40 percent of the amount goes to annuity. Limit exemption limit has been increased to 60 percent on a one time withdrawal. That is, now the full withdrawal (60 percent) will be within the scope of the tax exemption.At present, if 60 percent of the total corpus was used by NPS subscribers, 40 percent of it was tax free while the remaining 20 percent was taxable. The employee of each section will be benefited by this tax rebate. Jaitley said that due to the increase in the government’s contribution, the additional amount of Rs 2,840 crore will be incurred on the treasury of the government during the financial year 2019-20. Significantly, there was a long demand that NPS should be brought in the category of EEE (Exit-Digest-Exit) as it is in EPF and PPF.
