1.Approval of Central Assistance of Rs 1,161.17 Crore for Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Rajasthan and Union Territory Lakshadweep, by the High Level Committee chaired by the Union Home Minister :-

Under the Central assistance, the High Level Committee has sanctioned Rs. 480.87 crore for Assam. In addition to this, the committee approved the release of Rs 84.60 crore for the Himachal Pradesh from National Disaster Response Fund, Rs 67.40 crore for Sikkim and Rs   2.16 crore for the Union Territory of Lakshadweep and Rs 526.14 crore for Rajasthan. Overall, this central help is Rs 1,161.17 crore.

 

2.E-Pension Payment Order: New Step in the Right Direction :-

4.Now the Android Base Scanner App will tell whether the Note is true or fake :-

Image result for RBIThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to move on with new technology to get rid of counterfeit notes from the market. The RBI is preparing an application to identify real and fake notes. This will include special features with mango of all notes. 

Taking into consideration the business of counterfeit notes taking years to year increment, the RBI has been trying to send a note scanner to the common man. The central bank believes that if the common man can easily identify the notes, then the currency of fake currency will be curbed. For this, the RBI is preparing an Android base scanner application. This scanner will scan the app note and after reading its feature, it will tell if the note is real or fake.

 

5.Sharif’s statement stirred in Pakistan, NSC emergency meeting :-

The acceptance of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the Mumbai terror attack has stirred a strain in Pakistan. For the first time, Sharif believed that Pakistani terrorists were behind the attack. The National Security Committee (NSC) convened a high-level emergency meeting on Monday due to the fate of Sharif’s acceptance. In addition to rejecting Sharif’s statement, it was termed as a misunderstanding.

 

6.Australian Mountaineer 7 Peaks Of 7 Continents In 117 Days New Record Created By :-

7.Dot approves the merger of Bharti Airtel and Telenor India :-

The Supreme Court had dismissed the petition of the Department of Telecommunications last week, in which the department wanted the companies to deposit approximately Rs. 1700 crores as security deposit. Along with this, the Supreme Court had instructed to approve the deal. This guarantee includes a one-time spectrum charge of Rs 1,499 for airwaves given without auctioned radiowaves. It also includes spectrum payment of Rs 200 crore, which is to be done by Telenor.  

 

8.India has become the richest country by its migrant workers :-

Last year, three countries that received the highest amount of their own migrant workers were India, China and the Philippines. India received $ 69 billion, China received $ 64 billion and the Philippines received $ 33 billion. 

About 40 percent of the total amount sent by migrant workers across the globe reaches in the rural areas. However, in the Asia-Pacific region countries, this amount reaches an odd proportion where most of the population is rural.

According to the report, cash transactions are the most common means of money transfer. Just recently, the markets have started the transfer of funds through account through digital technology. There is now more than 10 lakh places in this area, which shows the increase in digitized transactions. 

 

9.CBI files first chargesheet in PNB scam :-

10.Inflation rate rose to 3.18% in April this year :-

Image result for Inflation rateThe rate of inflation based on the wholesale price index has increased to three point to eight-eight percent in April this year. This has happened due to rising prices of petrol, diesel, fruits and vegetables. Inflation was two point four-seven percent in March last year and three point eight-five percent in April. According to the Commerce Ministry, in April this year, the prices of food items increased by zero point to eight-seven percent and the value of vegetables increased by zero point eight-nine percent. Inflation in fuel and electricity increased seven points to eight-five percent in April.
