1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the renovated Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the state of Varanasi in Sri Kashi Vishwanath shrine dedicated to the first phase. More than three thousand saints and officials were present on this occasion. The Prime Minister first reached the Kaal Bhairav ​​temple, which is believed to be the protector of Kashi. He also offered prayers in the temple. After that, the Prime Minister went to Kashi Vishwanath Dham via the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor with the Ganges water. The construction work of the first phase of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham has been completed at a cost of Rs.3 billion 39 crores . This project is five lakh square feet.is spread over a wide area of Earlier this complex was only three thousand square feet. Kashi Vishwanath Dham has been developed under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project in March 2019 . With this project Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been directly connected to Ganga Ghat. In the first phase of the project, 23 buildings were inaugurated. Facilities like Passenger Facilitation Centre, Tourist Facilitation Centre, Vedic Centre, Museum, Visitors Gallery, Food Court etc. have been made available under this project. Earlier, the Kashi Vishwanath temple was rebuilt by Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar . Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva . The temple is situated on the west bank of the holy river Ganges andIt is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas which is the holiest of Shiva temples.

2.Launch of Digital Platform for Grievance Management – Lokpal Online in New Delhi

Lokpal Chairman Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghosh launched Lokpal Online , a digital platform for grievance management in New Delhi . All citizens of the country can make their grievances on the digital platform and can register complaints from any place, any time on www.lokpalonline.gov.in . Lokpal is an online, end to end digital solution for redressal of grievances against Government servants under the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act 2013.

3.Chief Executive Officer of CBFC takes over as National Film Development Corporation, Films Division and Children’s Film Society of India

Central Board of Film Certification-CBFC Chief Executive Officer Ravinder Bhakar has taken over the charge of National Film Development Corporation, Films Division and Children’s Film Society of India . Shri Bhakar, a 1999 batch officer of Indian Railway Store Service, has been given this charge in addition to his present duties as CBFC.

4.India-UK space consultation held

6.ISRO and Oppo collaborate to strengthen R&D of NavIC messaging

To strengthen the research and development (R&D) of NaVIC or Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) messaging service , Indian Space Research Organization has launched Oppo Indiahas signed an agreement with. NavIC is a messaging service platform, providing regional navigation services covering the entire country and extending up to 1,500 km beyond Indian borders. Specifically, the messaging platform primarily provides PNT (position, navigation and timing) services along with the ability to transmit short messages (safety of life alerts) in areas with poor or no communication at sea. As per the Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU), both ISRO and OPPO India will provide fast, ready-to-use, NavICs will exchange technical know-how of messaging services to build end-to-end application-specific solutions. It will be able to integrate the NavIC messaging service with the mobile handset platform keeping in mind the requirement of the Indian users. Oppo India has a manufacturing unit in Noida and an R&D center in Hyderabad.

8.India Successfully Launched Supersonic Missile Assisted Torpedo from Wheeler Island in Odisha

India launched a supersonic missile assisted torpedo from Wheeler Island in Odisha . This weapon system has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the Indian Navy. It is the next generation missile which is based on stand of torpedo delivery system. The system is designed to extend the anti-submarine warfare capability beyond the conventional firepower of torpedoes. The missile was launched from a mobile launcher located on the ground and can cover a wide range of ranges.

9.NASA’s IXPE Mission

Recently ‘ National Aeronautics and Space Administration ‘ ( NASA ) launched a new mission named ‘ Imaging X-ray Polarimetry Explorer ‘ ( IXPE ). The IXPE observatory is a joint effort of NASA and the Italian Space Agency . It is one of the most extreme and mysterious objects in the universe—supernova remnants, supermassive black holes.and dozens of other high-energy objects. The mission’s primary duration is two years, and its observatory will orbit the Earth’s equator at an altitude of 600 kilometers. It will complement other X-ray telescopes such as the Chandra X-ray Observatory and the European Space Agency’s X-ray Observatory, XMM-Newton. It will observe polarized X-rays from neutron stars and supermassive black holes. By measuring the polarization of these X-rays we can study what the source of light is and understand the geometry and inner workings of the light source.

10.Karnataka Bank wins 2 DigiDhan Awards by MeitY

11.LIC gets RBI nod to increase stake in IndusInd Bank

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has received approval from the Reserve Bank of India to increase its stake in IndusInd Bank to 9.99 per cent of the total issued and paid-up capital of the private sector lender . This approval will be valid for 1 year i.e. till 8 December 2022. LIC currently holds 4.95 per cent stake in IndusInd Bank. Recently LIC also got similar approval Kotak Mahindra BankGot from RBI to increase its stake to 9.99 per cent. LIC is one of the largest institutional investors in India’s stock market and holds stake in several private and public sector banks. Capitalline data shows it holds stake in 24 scheduled commercial banks. It holds 49.24 per cent stake in IDBI Bank. Other major banks include LIC holding 8.8 per cent in Canara Bank, 8.3 per cent in Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India, 8.2 per cent in Axis Bank and 7.6 per cent in ICICI Bank.

12.ADB approves USD 350 million loan to improve India’s urban services

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a policy-based loan of Rs 2653.05 crore (USD 350 million) to improve urban services in India . The loan supports policies formulated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to benefit the urban poor, economically weaker sections and low-income groups . ADB will also provide knowledge and advisory support to MoHUA in program implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The loan supports policies established by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to accelerate universal coverage of piped water supply and improved sanitation.

14.RBI introduces 20 digit LEI for cross border deals

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) for cross-border transactions for capital or current account transactions of Rs 50 crore and above with effect from October 1 next year.has been made mandatory. The LEI is a 20-digit number used to uniquely identify parties to financial transactions worldwide to improve the quality and accuracy of financial data systems. The identifier criterion has been introduced in a phased manner for participants in over the counter (OTC) derivative, non-derivative markets, large corporate borrowers and large value transactions in centralized payment systems. From October 1, 2022, banks will have to obtain ‘LEI’ number from resident entities (non-individuals) carrying out any capital or current account transactions. For LEI holders, it will be mandatory to furnish the number in all transactions irrespective of the size of the transaction.
