7.National Book Trust announces 75 selected authors under PM-YUVA mentorship scheme

The National Book Trust , which comes under the Ministry of Education , announced the results of the All India Competition organized on the topic ‘ National Movement of India ‘ under the PM-Yuva Mentorship Scheme under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program . According to this scheme, 75 authors were to be selected for the scholarship-cum-mentorship scheme brought for young writers below the age of 30 through this competition . The All India Competition was organized from 1st June to 31st July 2021 through MyGov and National Book Trust, India platforms. About 16000 entries were received from across the country, including some from the Indian expatriate community, in 22 official languages ​​and English.

The Union Minister for Home and Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah released the Good Governance Index – 2021 on the occasion of Good Governance Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi . This index has been prepared by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) . Ten sectors and 58 indicators in the framework of Good Governance Index (GGI) 2021have been included. The areas of GGI 2020-21 are: 1) Agriculture and Allied Sectors, 2) Commerce and Industry, 3) Human Resource Development, 4) Public Health, 5) Public Infrastructure and Utilities, 6) Economic Governance, 7) Social Welfare and Development, 8) Judicial and Public Security, 9) Environment and 10) Citizen-Centered Governance. In the Good Governance Index 2020-21, the states and union territories have been divided into four categories. These categories are: (i) Other States – Group A, (ii) Other States – Group B, (iii) North-East and Hill States and (iv) Union Territories. Gujarat topped the overall ranking covering 10 regions. Maharashtra has come in second place while Goa has come in third place. Uttar Pradesh also 8. Progress towards good governance has been made with a growth of 9 per cent. As per the index, at least 20 states have reported improvement in their overall GGI scores in the year 2021. In the Union Territories category, the national capital Delhi has topped the overall ranking.

11.Karnataka Assembly passed the Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021

The “ Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021 ” was passed in the assembly. This bill is called anti-conversion bill.is known as. The bill was passed by voice vote. The Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs, J.C. According to Madhuswamy, the bill was introduced by the Law Commission of Karnataka in 2016 under the advice of the Congress government. This draft bill was prepared by the Law Commission under the aegis of the Social Welfare Department. The Bill provides for protection of the right to freedom of religion as well as prohibition of illegal conversion from one religion to another by force, misrepresentation, coercion, undue influence, inducement or any fraudulent means. There is a provision of imprisonment for three to five years and a fine of Rs 25,000. For contravention of provisions with respect to minors, SC/ST and women, the offenses are punishable with imprisonment of three to 10 years and fine not exceeding Rs.50,000/-. According to this bill, The accused will have to pay up to five lakh rupees as compensation to those who were converted. There is a provision of imprisonment of 3-10 years along with a fine of up to one lakh rupees in cases of mass conversion. It also directs the Family Court to declare such marriage as void and void, having taken place for the sole purpose of illegal conversion.

12.National Mission for Clean Ganga and Center of Excellence on Water Reuse launched by TERI

13.Corporate Affairs Ministry’s proposal on IBC

Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya , the great freedom fighter was born on December 25, 1861 . He played an important role in the freedom movement, he was the President of the Indian National Congress three times . He is also known as Mahamana. He founded the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi in 1916 . He was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna by the Government of India in 2015. was awarded. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya was born on 25 December 1861 in Allahabad (now Prayagraj). He became the President of the Indian National Congress in 1909, 1918 and 1932–33. Mahatma Gandhi gave him the title of “Mahamana”. After studying law, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya fought many cases in favor of the revolutionaries and was successful in them. Madan Mohan Malviya was very active in journalism. In 1887, he started his journalism career with a Hindi daily newspaper named “Hindostan”. In 1889 he became the editor of “Indian Opinion”. In 1907, he himself started the Hindi weekly magazine “Abhyudaya”. In 1910, he started a Hindi newspaper named “Maryada”. In 1924 he met Lala Lajpat Rai, M.R. Acquired Hindustan Times with the help of Jayakar and Ghanshyam Das Birla and saved it from closure. He was the editor of Hindustan Times from 1924 to 1946. With his efforts, the Hindi edition of Hindustan Times “Hindustan” was started in 1936. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya died on 12 November 1946 in Allahabad.
