1.Nepal becomes the first country to double tiger population :-

Nepal has probably become the world’s first country, which has doubled its number of tigers.

On Sunday, on the occasion of National Tiger Conservation Day, Nepal announced that the number of tigers in the country has increased to 235, which was 121 in 2009.
The press advertisement issued by Nepal’s Forest and Wildlife Department said that if this continued, then Nepal would be the first country in the world to achieve its target in the 2010 Tiger Conference in St.Pitsburg, in which it was decided that 2022 Until the number of tigers should be doubled and increased.
Nepal organized a National Tiger Survey in November, 2017 to April 2018 in the Transboundary Lowland Arc Landscape (TAL). This region is a shared multicolored ecosystem of India and Nepal, which is spread over a very wide terrain.

 

2.The Prime Minister inaugurated the Pakyong Airport in Sikkim, along with the state air connectivity :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pakyong Airport in Sikkim. It is the first and the junior airport of Sikkim. While addressing the massive public meeting on this occasion, he said that this day is a very important day for the country as well as the historical day for Shakyam. The Prime Minister said that the total number of airports in the country has increased to hundred hundred along with the Pakyong airport. He also mentioned Sikkim’s young cricketer Nilesh Lemichane on this occasion, who became the first player of the state to score a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Shri Modi said that Pakyong airport will facilitate air connectivity for Sikkim. He said that to ensure that it can be useful for the common man , the airport has been made a part of the flying plan.

 

3.Mahatma Gandhi’s letter was eclipsed in 6358 dollars :-

A letter without date written by Mahatma Gandhi is auctioned in 6358 dollars. Gandhiji has emphasized the importance of Charkha in this letter. This information was given by the US RR Actions. The Auction House said in a statement that the letter is written in Gujarati language and it is addressed to a person named Yashwant Prasad.

Gandhiji wrote in the letter that what we expect from mills is the same. He has written that although whatever you say is right , everything depends on looms. Gandhi’s reference to Charkha is exceptionally important because he adopted it as a symbol of economic independence.

During the freedom movement, Gandhi encouraged the Indians to spend the khadi per day in support of the Indian movement for independence. He encouraged all Indians to wear khadi instead of UK-made clothes under indigenous movement.

 

4.Application time extension for the Defense India Startup Challenge was increased :-

The deadline for application for the Defense India Startup Challenge (DISC) has been extended till October 31.

DISC was organized by the Defense Innovation Organization (DIO) in collaboration with Defense Production Department, Atal Innovation Mission, Policy Commission and Innovation of Defense Excellence (IDEX). It was started by Defense Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman on August 4, 2018. Under this, the Defense Minister has placed 11 technical challenges in line with the requirements of Indian Defense Establishments in front of the entrepreneurs who started the startup. Most of these challenges are those that are related to the security forces. It will be given a grant of up to Rs 1.5 crore to those who prepare the prototype according to capacity.

 

5.President will inaugurate fourth Indian International Science Festival – IISF, IISF 2018 to be devoted to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee: Dr Harshvardhan :-

President Ramanath Kovind will inaugurate the fourth Indian International Science Festival- IISF 2018 on October 6 in Lucknow. In the four-day event, about 10000 representatives will participate, including 5000 students, 550 teachers and 200 students from the Northeast, 20 international representatives and about 200 startups.

Dr. Harshvardhan, Union Minister for Science and Technology, said that IISF provides a big platform for students, researchers, innovators, artists and the general public to celebrate India’s achievements in science and technology. He said that it is also a medium for creating an interest in science and encouraging a broad network of stakeholders through science.

 

6.The date for filing income tax return and audit report has been increased from September 30, 2018 to October 15, 2018 :-

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the last date for submission of income tax return and audit report in the case of taxpayers for the assessment year 2018-19 from 30th September , 2018 to 15th October , 2018 . However, the date for Article 234A (Explanation-I) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 related to interest for those defending the return will not be increased and the taxpayer will have to pay the interest according to the provisions of Article 234A of the Act.

 

7.Center will spend Rs.150,000 crore on improvement of National Highways in North-East states: Shri Nitin Gadkari  :-

The Union Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari have said that the Center will spend Rs. 150,000 crores on improving the National Highways in the North-Eastern States. Under this, Rs 17,000 crore in Sikkim, Rs 48,221 crore in Assam, Rs 20,000 crore in Nagaland, Rs 12,000 crore in Mizoram, Rs 22,000 crore in Manipur, Rs 8,000 crore in Tripura, Rs 10,000 crore in Arunachal Pradesh and Rs 8,000 crore in Meghalaya Will be spent.

Shri Gadkari was addressing the function in Shillong after dedicating Jovai-Ratchera section, which was upgraded to the National Highway 6, in Meghalaya. This 102-kilometer stretch of National Highway is two-lane and 10 meters wide with high pillars. The cost of 683 crore rupees has come to this. There are three major bridges on Alfa, Lubha and Umprroshing rivers with 34 minor bridges. There are 34 culverts and 441 underground drains. There is a 123 meter tunnel in Sonapur village.

 

8.Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated a two-day National Orientation Workshop on National e-Legislative Application (Neva) :-

The Union Parliamentary Affairs , Water Resources , River Development and Minister of State for Protection of Ganges, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal presided over the inaugural session of the two-day National Orientation Workshop organized by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on the National e-Legislative Application (Neva) in New Delhi. On this occasion Shri Meghwal launched the new website of Neva and administered oath of cleanliness to more than 200 delegates.

For two days in the Orientation workshop, the technical levels and the difficulties in setting up e-legislation before the various State Legislatures will be discussed in the Neva properties and in groups. The focus of the workshop is to encourage all state legislatures to adopt e-legislative platforms and bring transparency and accountability in the functioning of the legislatures.

 

9.India successfully tested the two-pronged defense ballistic missile system Earth Defense Vehicle :-

India successfully launched Earth Defense Vehicle of the Defense Ballistic Missile System away from Odisha coast. At the same time, India has achieved a major milestone in developing the two-pronged ballistic missile defense system capable of aiming at lower and higher targets. Defense sources told that the missile was launched from Abdul Kalam Island at 8.00 pm in the evening of 23rd September.

A scientist from the Defense Research and Development Organization said that the Earth Defense Mission Mission is capable of seizing the target at the height of more than fifty kilometers above the earth’s atmosphere.

DRDO sources said both PDV interceptor and targeted missile were successfully tested. During an automatic operation, the radar based investigative and exploratory system detected the enemy’s ballistic missile and also targeted it.

 

10.Union Minister Vijay Sampla inaugurated 20 KW FM transmitters of All India in Attari border near the International Border :-

Vijay Sampla, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment inaugurated the 20 KW FM Transmitter of All India Radio in Gharinda, which is connected to the Attic border near the international border. The transmitter will be used strategically for domestic and foreign broadcasts.

These transmitters will be broadcast in 50 kilometers between Pakistan and Pakistan. On this occasion, the Union Minister said that this transmitter will help in the transmission of Indian tradition of humanity and brotherhood.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A Suryaprakash, President, Prasar Bharati said that Akashvani’s efforts were to make Akashwani reach in inaccessible, remote and strategically important areas. Our correspondent has said that on this occasion, the Director General of AIR Radio Shri Fayyaz Shahar was also present.

While inaugurating the inaugural ceremony of the twenty kilowatt tower of Punjab, the Union Minister, Shri Sampala said that with the help of this tower, we will be able to give correct answers to the propaganda against India from across the border.

Cultural, entertaining programs will be broadcast on 103 Point 6 MHz Despazab Channel which will enhance mutual friendship between the two countries. This transmitter will broadcast the program of AIR in better voice to the audience across the region and beyond.

 

11.BJP leader nominated PM Modi for Nobel Prize :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for starting the world’s largest health plan. This nomination has been done by Tamil Nadu BJP President TamilSai Sundarajan. In a release issued by the State BJP, it was said that Dr. Tamilisai Sundarajan has nominated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Nobel Peace Prize 2019, to launch the Prime Minister Jan Swasthya Yojana-Amazing India, the biggest health plan in the world. At the same time he appealed to the people that they are connected to it.

Let us tell that PM Modi had launched ‘Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana -Ayusamaran Bharat’ from Jharkhand’s Ranchi on Sunday. This is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India, under which the poor will have good and free treatment.

Any person can be nominated for this award till January 31 next year. Every year from September, the nomination process begins for this award.

In a release issued by the State BJP office, it has been told that Dr. P Sundarrajan, husband of state BJP president, has also nominated Modi for Nobel Prize. Sundararajan is the head of Nephrology at a private university. It has been said that the Ayushman Bharat Scheme launched by visionary Prime Minister Modi will change the lives of millions of poor people. It has asked the university professors, MPs and other people to nominate PM Modi.
