1.Pakistan’s nuclear weapons: Bigger than India: Report of US Agency :-

From the recent report of the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), which reports credible reports on the security of international security and especially dangerous weapons, it is clear from the fact that the western part is not only the part of Asia that we are also a major of the dangerous nuclear weapons. It’s going to burn.
According to the FAS report released three days ago, Pakistan has 280-300 nuclear weapons capacities while India can have this figure from 260 to 280. China is extremely ahead with 560 nuclear weapons.
This report also states that India or Pakistan has not strategically deployed its nuclear weapons. But they have almost half of their total deposits handed over to their military agencies. For instance, Pakistan has kept 140-150 nuclear weapons in reserve, while handing similar weapons to the concerned agencies for military operation. While there are 130-140 weapons in India’s reserve and the same has been given to military agencies.

 

2.The Royal Palace was destroyed in the fire and the oldest historical heritage destroyed :-

In the fierce fires of the Brazilian National Museum, many historical heritage was burnt down. This museum used to be the Royal Palace ever, which was converted into a museum nearly two hundred years ago. This museum was the history of Brazil and not knowing how precious heritage was.
This National Museum was once used to be the luxurious house of the Portuguese Royal Family. At present, it was the oldest museum in the country. The coincidence is that on June 6, 2018 only two hundred years were completed.

 

3.Claim of UN report, Indian schools swift in cleanliness campaign :-

In the last few years, India has made rapid development in providing sanitation facilities in schools. The number of schools in the country has decreased, where there is no cleanliness facilities. This information has been given in the World Health Organization and UNICEF’s joint monitoring program (JMP) shared in ‘Drinking Water, Sanitation, Hygiene in School: 2018 Global Baseline’.

According to this UN agency report, cleanliness is a good environment for learning in schools. Since the proper arrangement of toilets, girls do not hesitate to go to school. Between 2000 and 2016, the number of schools without toilets has declined in India. It is clear from this that by 2016, every school of India had any kind of sanitation facility available. While a decade ago, half of India’s schools did not have toilets.

4.71st Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia inaugurated in New Delhi by Health Minister JP Nadda :-

On September 3, 2018, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare  Shri J P Nadda inaugurated  the ‘71st Session of the WHO Regional Committee for South-East Asia,’ in New Delhi.
He addressed India’s contribution on the health sector by implementing the following:

1.Launch of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya scheme called ‘Ayushman Bharat’

2.Jan Aushadhi (peoples’ medicines) stores for affordable medicine

3.India would work with member countries on Regional and Global health agenda for common goal of Health for All.

5. 6-days long 47thBi-annual talks held in New Delhi by India and Bangladesh border forces :-

On September 3, 2018, the 47thbi-annual talks between Indian and Bangladeshi border forces started for 6 days in New Delhi.

Focus areas of discussion would be:

1.To prevent trans-border crimes, action against Indian insurgent  groups,

border infrastructure,

2.Coordinated patrol in vulnerable areas,

3.Sharing information and expansion of crime-free zones.

4.Measures, Simultaneous Coordinated patrolling.
5.Earlier, the DG level talks were held in April 2018 in Dhaka.
6.DG level talks started in 1975.

6.10 KW FM Transmitter of All India Radio inaugurated at Patnitop in Jammu by Jitendra Singh :-

On September 3, 2018, the Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy, Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated 10KW transmitter of All India Radio at Patnitop in Ramban District of Jammu & Kashmir.

This would enable services to reach remote areas of the State in various districts like Ramban, Doda, Udhampur, Anantnag  and parts of Jammu.
It would be available at an ariel distance of 60 km  in the frequency of 101 MHz.

 

7.“Mil -Banche” programme organized in govt schools for learning awareness: Madhya Pradesh :-

On August 31, 2018, Madhya Pradesh launched a first of its kind initiative called “Mil -Banche” in all government schools across the state.
It is an interactive programme between schools and society for promoting education and learing.
Objective: Aim to create education and learning awareness among the children

8.Rs 399.44 crore released for 2018-19 for development of forward areas of 10 states along int’l borders :-

On September 3, 2018, Centre released Rs 399.44 crore for 10 states along the international bordersfor developing forward areas as a part of Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for 2018-19.
Key Points: This is a part of Rs 1,100 crore released in 2017-18 for development of villages along the international borders in 17 states.
Rs 399.44 crore has been released to the following states of:
Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and West Bengal .
About Border Area Development Programme (BADP):
It covers people living within 50 kilometres of the International Border along 111 border districts in 17 states. The BADP schemes include construction of primary health centres, schools, supply of drinking water, community centres, connectivity, drainage, to enable sustainable living in border areas. It also involves skill development, promotion of sports activities in border areas, promotion of rural tourism, border tourism, protection of heritage sites, construction of helipads in remote and inaccessible hilly areas. 61 model villages are also being developed under the BADP.

10.ITI Limited partnered with startups to boost manufacturing of ICT, IoT and Defence Technology: Bengaluru :-


On September 3, 2018, on the sidelines of the first edition of ITI’s two-day ‘ICT & IoT Startup Tech Expo’ in BengaluruITI Limited signed agreements equipment manufacturers and startups.

Objectives –

civil and military advanced radar systems,

advanced edge router systems,

next generation 5G technology products,

data storage and networking solutions,

digital security solutions,

advanced metering solutions, and

wi-fi products and solutions.

It partnered with Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC), New Delhi to establish telecom testing labs at its Bengaluru plant.This would help in testing of imported and indigenous telecom equipment in India.

 

11.Alastair Cook announces international retirement :-

On September 3, 2018, England’s highest Test run-scorer Alastair Cook announced his retirement from International cricket.

He has scored 12,254 runs and made 32 centuries in 160 Tests – all England records.
He is sixth on the all-time list of Test run-scorers and has made a record 11,627 runs as an opener.
He became the first Englishman to reach 10,000 Test runs in 2016.
He captained the England team from 2012 and led England to their first victory in India for 27 years.
