1.India and Japan complete 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations

7.India ranks first in the world in real-time transactions : ACI Worldwide Report

According to the ACI Worldwide Report on Real-time Transactions , India’s real-time transactions have grown to 48.6 billion in the year 2021 . This is almost three times that of ChinaWhich is second only to India with 18 billion transactions. India’s transaction volume is more than seven times that of the US, UK, Canada, Germany and France combined which stands at 7.5 billion. Widespread adoption of real-time payments in 2021 has resulted in cost savings worth $12.6 billion for Indian consumers and businesses. This has helped in unlocking economic output of US$ 16.4 billion which is 0.56% of India’s GDP. The rise in the use of digital payments during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the growth of QR code payments and UPI-based mobile payment apps among merchants, propelled real-time payments into 2021. Consumers are moving from cash to digital real-time payment methods, which means that the share of real-time payments in total payment volume will exceed 70% in 2026.

  2. Small Enterprises: 60%
  3. Medium Enterprises: 50%

MSMEs run by Women/SC/ST or MSMEs running in NER/Himalayan Region/LWE/Island Areas/Aspirational Districts will get an additional 10% relaxation. In addition to the above, there will be an additional 5% relaxation for MSMEs that are also part of the Ministry’s SFURTI i.e. SFURTI or Micro and Small Enterprises – Cluster Development Program (MSE-CDP). Apart from this, every MSME who takes the pledge of ZED will be offered Rs 10,000 as a reward for participating in it.
