1.India and Japan complete 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness on 28 April on the completion of 70 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan . In a tweet, Shri Modi said that the relations between the two countries have strengthened in every field including strategic, economic and public relations. On this occasion, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has wished both the countries in a tweet in Hindi. Diplomatic relations between India and Japan were established on 28 April 1952.
2.Samba district in Jammu became the first district in the country to provide medical facilities to 100 percent families under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana- Sehat Yojana
Samba district of Jammu division in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has become the first district in the country to cover 100% households under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana . This achievement was achieved after a special registration drive by the State Health Agency from April 11 to April 21 in Samba district. A total of 62 thousand six hundred 41 families in Samba district are eligible for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana Golden Card. On this card, free treatment up to Rs.5 lakh can be done in all government and empaneled private hospitals.
3.EU and India to set up Trade and Technology Council
The European Union and India have agreed to establish a Trade and Technology Council with the aim of addressing challenges to ensure security and reliable technology in line with rapid geopolitical changes . The decision to set up such a council is the first for India with any of its partner nations. The European Union had already established such a council with the US. The agreement for the formation of this council was reached in a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The two leaders also discussed the status of trade talks, with India and the EU resuming talks to reach a comprehensive free trade agreement as well as an investment agreement.
4.14th century monument Malcha Mahal to be renovated
The 14th century monument Malcha Mahal will be renovated by the Delhi government . It was built by the then Sultan Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1325 AD and was used as a Hunting Lodge for a long time . Later it became the residence of the descendants of the Nawab of Awadh. It is believed that it came to be called ‘ Vilayat Mahal ‘ after the Begum of Awadh, Vilayat Mahal , who claimed that she was a member of the royal family of Awadh. He was granted the ownership of the palace by the government in the year 1985. Malcha Mahal with his daughter Sakina Mahal and son Rajkumar Ali Raza (Cyrus) after the Begum committed suicide in 1993.came under the ownership of. Rajkumar died in the year 2017 and his sister had passed away a few years before his death.
5.International Food and Hospitality Fair- Diet 2022
Asia’s largest international food and hospitality fair- Aahar 2022 is being organized by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in collaboration with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi . This 36th edition of this fairIs. The fair started on April 26, 2022, and will continue till April 30, 2022. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, more than 80 exporters from various segments of agricultural products including Geographical Indication products, processed food, organic and frozen food products will participate in the fair. Germany ‘s Economy Minister Robert Habeck has announced that a group of companies in the country’s automotive industry plans to develop a ‘ Passport ‘ that will explore the environmental impact of European batteries . The consortium of 11 partners funded 8.2 million euros to develop a common set of standards for collecting and presenting data on European batteries . Umicore, BMW and BASF are some of the companies that offer this ‘ Battery Passport ‘.‘ effort involved. Under this framework, European batteries must have a QR code that will be linked to an online database where businesses, EV owners and regulators will be able to access information about the composition of the battery. This digital tool will also make it easier to recycle the raw material inside the battery. It will also help reduce the dependence of foreign suppliers in the region on resources such as nickel and lithium, which are needed for the production of batteries.
7.India ranks first in the world in real-time transactions : ACI Worldwide Report
According to the ACI Worldwide Report on Real-time Transactions , India’s real-time transactions have grown to 48.6 billion in the year 2021 . This is almost three times that of ChinaWhich is second only to India with 18 billion transactions. India’s transaction volume is more than seven times that of the US, UK, Canada, Germany and France combined which stands at 7.5 billion. Widespread adoption of real-time payments in 2021 has resulted in cost savings worth $12.6 billion for Indian consumers and businesses. This has helped in unlocking economic output of US$ 16.4 billion which is 0.56% of India’s GDP. The rise in the use of digital payments during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the growth of QR code payments and UPI-based mobile payment apps among merchants, propelled real-time payments into 2021. Consumers are moving from cash to digital real-time payment methods, which means that the share of real-time payments in total payment volume will exceed 70% in 2026.
8.ISRO made space brick
Planning to build a house on Mars has been going on continuously for the last few years. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru have made space bricks , which can be used to build any structure on Mars. To make this special brick, simulant soil (MSS) i.e. replica clay and urea of Mars have been used by the scientists. Scientists have made space bricks with the help of bacteria-based technology. They first discovered the soil of Mars , bacteria named Sporosarcina pasteuri , guar gum , urea and nickel chloride .merged together. After this, this solution is poured into brick-shaped moulds. The bacteria converted the urea into crystals of calcium carbonate a few days later.

10.National Framework for the Elimination of Malaria
The National Framework for Elimination of Malaria (NFME) 2016-2030 outlines India’s strategies to eliminate the disease by the year 2030 . This framework has been developed with an aim to eliminate malaria from the country and contribute to better quality of life, health. NFME defines objectives, targets, strategies and timelines which will serve as a roadmap for planning and advocating for malaria eradication in India in a phased manner. As per the respective epidemiological situation of the States and Union Territories, necessary guidelines are being issued. Conforms to the NFME Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance Malaria Elimination Roadmap and the WHO Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016–2030 (GTS).
11.Cabinet also allowed conversion of 2G mobile services to 4G at security places in Naxal areas
The Union Cabinet has approved the Social Services Obligation Fund for conversion of 2G mobile services into 4G services at security locations in Left Extremism affected areas . Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that this will provide better internet and data service in these areas. He said that under this project, two thousand 542 mobile towers would be upgraded to provide 4G services in LWE areas.
12.Antyodaya Abhiyan launched from Independence in New Delhi
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh will launch the Antyodaya Abhiyan from Azadi in New Delhi . As part of the year-long celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav , the objective of this ninety-day long campaign is to reach out to the grassroots people beneficial schemes of the Central Ministries in 75 districts of 28 States and Union Territories . These districts are associated with the birthplace of 99 freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country . The campaign will involve all rural stakeholders, such as families of freedom fighters, Panchayati Raj Institutions, women and youth groups and students.
13.MSME Minister Narayan Rane launched MSME. Sustainable – Zero Defect Zero Effect Certification Scheme launched
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises – MSME Minister Narayan Rane inaugurated MSME in New Delhi . Sustainable – Zero Defect Zero Effect – Z.E.D. Certification Scheme launched. This MSME It is an initiative to encourage and enable the U.S. to adopt Zero Defect Zero Effect solutions to achieve maximum quality while ensuring minimum impact on the environment. By securing ZED certification, MSMEs can substantially reduce wastage, increase productivity, increase environmental awareness, save energy, make optimum use of natural resources and expand their markets. Under the scheme, MSMEs will get subsidy on the cost of ZED certification as per the following structure:
- Micro Enterprises: 80%
- Small Enterprises: 60%
- Medium Enterprises: 50%
MSMEs run by Women/SC/ST or MSMEs running in NER/Himalayan Region/LWE/Island Areas/Aspirational Districts will get an additional 10% relaxation. In addition to the above, there will be an additional 5% relaxation for MSMEs that are also part of the Ministry’s SFURTI i.e. SFURTI or Micro and Small Enterprises – Cluster Development Program (MSE-CDP). Apart from this, every MSME who takes the pledge of ZED will be offered Rs 10,000 as a reward for participating in it.
14.PM inaugurates and lays foundation stone of several cancer hospitals including Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital
The Prime Minister visited the Assam Medical College , Dibrugarh and dedicated Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital and six other oncology hospitals to the nation. He also laid the foundation stone of seven more cancer hospitals in the state, virtually from there. The Prime Minister said the health sagesalso discussed. The fifth focus is to reduce dependence on big cities for good treatment. In the last seven years, more than 70 thousand new seats have been added for MBBS and PG. The seventh focus of the government is digitization of health services.
