1.PM inaugurates World Dairy Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the World Dairy Conference at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida , near Delhi .He said that India’s dairy sector is known for mass production rather than mass production. He said that due to the collective efforts of small dairy farmers, India has become the largest dairy producing country in the world. Shri Modi said that in 2014, 14 crore 60 lakh tonnes of milk was produced in the country, which has now increased to 21 crore tonnes. This is an increase of about 44 percent. The conference will run till September 15, in which industrialists, experts, farmers and policy planners are participating. The theme of the conference is ‘Dairy for Nutrition and Livelihood’. Around 1500 delegates from 50 countries are participating in the conference. Such a summit was held in India in 1974. The Indian dairy industry is based on a cooperative model that supports small and marginal dairy farmers, Especially empowers women. India’s dairy industry accounts for about 23 percent of the global milk production. There is an annual milk production of about 21 crore tonnes and there are more than eight crore dairy farmers.

2.Establishment of an Early Intervention Center – Prayas at Army Hospital, New Delhi

An Early Intervention Center – Prayas has been set up at Army Hospital , New Delhi . This center has been created to increase the confidence of the parents of specially abled children and to eradicate the problems of the children. Research and referral to this army hospital – RR HospitalAlso called. The Defense Ministry said that this center has been provided with state-of-the-art facilities which is dedicated to cater to the needs of specially abled children. Children up to the age of six years suffering from autism, cerebral palsy, sleep and language learning delays and other problems of military personnel will benefit from this. Archana Pandey, President, Army Wives Welfare Association inaugurated this center. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey was the chief guest on the occasion.

3.Delhi University Launches Allotment-cum-Admission Policy-CSAS-2022 Portal for Admission to Undergraduate Courses

The University of Delhi has started the Allotment-cum-Admission Policy-CSAS-2022 portal for admission to undergraduate courses for the academic year 2022-23 . With this, admissions will be made on the basis of common entrance test result. Inaugurating the portal, Prof Yogesh Singh , Vice Chancellor, University of DelhiThe Minister informed that this year admission is to be given in 79 undergraduate courses in 67 colleges and departments which includes 206 categories for BA. Professor Singh said that CSAS-2022 will be completed in three phases. The first phase will be applicable for Delhi University. The second stage will be for filling the preference option and the third stage will be for seat allotment and admission. Delhi University is also providing mid-entry for those candidates who for some reason failed to apply for CSAS-2022 within the stipulated time frame. Such candidates can appear in CSAS-2022 by paying one thousand rupees as additional fee.

Likith Y.P. has won Bronze Medal in Prototype Modeling Skills in World Skill Competition-2022 . Likith Toyota Technical Training InstituteHe has completed his Diploma in Mechatronics from B.A. and he was training for this competition from Jan. 2022. This international competition is organized among the youth of the member countries of World Skills International. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said that the competition was earlier to be held in Shanghai but was shifted to 15 countries due to the COVID pandemic. Mr. Likith also won the Indian National Skills Competition – IndiaSkills in Prototype Modeling in 2021. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is organizing skill competitions in the country and training the youth for international competitions.

5.Government spending per capita on health services increased by 74 percent from 2013-14

Government expenditure per capita on health services has increased by 74 percent since 2013-14 . According to the National Health Accounts estimate of 2018-19, the per capita government expenditure on health care in 2013-14 was Rs 1,42, which has increased to Rs 1,815. The share of the government in the total expenditure on health in the country is increasing continuously. At present, the government’s share in expenditure on health services has increased from 23.02 per cent in 2013-14 to 34.5 per cent in 2018-19. Government spending on primary health services has increased. Government expenditure on primary health care was around 51 per cent during 2013-14, which has increased to over 55 per cent in 2018-19. The per capita private expenditure on health care in the country has also declined by eight per cent since 2013-14.

6.All India Institute of Ayurveda launches Ayurveda Day 2022 program

All India Institute of Ayurveda has launched Ayurveda Day 2022 programme. This six-week program will run till October 23 . The Ministry of AYUSH has made All India Institute of Ayurveda as the nodal agency for Ayurveda Day this year. Its theme is – Ayurveda every day, every home . The Ministry of AYUSH celebrates Ayurveda Day every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti . This year this day will be celebrated on 23 October . Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said that the theme of Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda has been chosen to emphasize the awareness of Ayurveda for holistic health in every household.

7.Khadi India organizes an exhibition and fashion show ‘Aheli Khadi’ at NIFT Gandhinagar

The main objective of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has been to fulfill the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to establish Khadi as a fashion fabric . With an intention to reach out to the young audience and the global market, an exhibition and ‘ Aheli Khadi ‘ fashion show to popularize Khadi as a fabric and showcase its use in traditional and contemporary fashion is being organized by Khadi India at NIFT Gandhinagar . 8.Serious Fraud Investigation Office arrests alleged mastermind of shell companies with Chinese links

9.US tests Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile

Recently the US Air Force Global Strike Command successfully test-fired the Minuteman III (Minuteman III ICBM) missile . The missile was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The Minuteman III missile is part of the Strategic Deterrence Force under the US Air Force Global Strike Command. Its full name is LGM-30G Minuteman-IIIIs. In LGM, L stands for Silo Launch Missile, G stands for Ground Attack and M stands for Guided Missile. It is one of America’s most powerful missiles capable of carrying out a nuclear attack. The purpose of this test was to verify the safety, effectiveness and readiness of the weapon system. The Minuteman III missile can strike a range of more than 10,000 km. The US also test-fired the Minuteman-3 missile on 16 August. Although preparations were made to conduct its second test 12 days ago, it was postponed due to China-Taiwan tensions. The Minuteman III program was started in 1966.

10.Indian Army conducts exercise ‘Parvat Prahar’

Army Chief General Manoj Pandey recently visited the Ladakh sector to review the exercise ‘ Parvat Prahar ‘ and was briefed about the operational preparedness on the ground by the commanders. All the new chiefs of the army were inducted in this exercise. This exercise named ‘Parvat Prahar’ is being conducted by the One Strike Corps of the Indian Army. ‘Parvat Prahar’ is a 20-day long exercise of the Indian Army. India and China as part of this exercise Gogra-Hot Springs in Eastern Ladakh (PP-15)as announced on 8 September. This dissolution process follows the 16th round of talks between the Corps Commanders of India and China held at the Chushul Moldo meeting point on July 17, 2022. The exercise involved high altitude infantry personnel, T-90S and T-72 tanks, mechanized infantry, K-9 Vajra, Bofors and M-777 howitzers, helicopters and aircraft. Chinook heavy lift helicopters and all-terrain vehicles carried by K9-Vajra howitzers were used in the exercise.

11.Chief Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari appointed as chairman of PMLA Appellate Tribunal

The Chief Justice of the Madras High Court , the Center appointed Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari as the Chairman of the Appellate Tribunal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) . Justice Bhandari is due to retire on September 12. This order has been issued by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. The Tribunal for Forfeiture of Property under SAFEMA and the PMLA Appellate Tribunal were merged in 2016 through the Finance Act, 2016. The post of Chairman of the Tribunal was vacant since September 2019.

12.Odisha government notifies Rs 270 crore umbrella scheme to improve groundwater table

Odisha government has launched ‘Community Harnessing and Harvesting Rainwater Artificial from Terrace to Aquifer’ (CHHATA) scheme with an investment of Rs 270 crore to implement Rooftop Rain Water Harvesting System (RRHS) . The scheme was envisaged to relieve the increasing pressure on groundwater and improve the depleting groundwater level. On 12 August 2022, the state cabinet led by Chief Minister (CM) Naveen Patnaik has given approval to promote RRHS. The scheme will be implemented by the Directorate of Ground Water Development (GWD) under the Department of Water Resources (DoWR). Odisha government will spend Rs 51.75 crore out of Rs 270 crore in 2022-23 and Rs 52.56 crore in the remaining 4 years till 2026-27.

14.Lords Mark Industries gets direct insurance broking license from IRDAI

Lords Mark Insurance Broking , the insurance division of Lords Mark Industries , has received a Direct Insurance Broking license from IRDAI for the sale of life and general insurance products . This marks the entry of the diversified group into the insurance sector. Lord’s Mark Insurance Broking plans to acquire 10,000 insurance clients in FY23, for which it will hire 5,000 insurance advisors by December.

15.RBI fines three entities for failing to comply

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed fines on three institutions , including the Industrial Bank of Korea , for non-compliance with regulatory norms. In a statement, RBI said that a penalty of Rs 36 lakh has been imposed on Industrial Bank of Korea for non-compliance with ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) norms. In another release, the central bank said a penalty of Rs 59.10 lakh has also been imposed on Woori Bank for non-compliance with its instructions. Apart from this , a fine of Rs 12.35 lakh has also been imposed on New Delhi-based Indiabulls Commercial Credit Ltd.

16.International Day for South-South Cooperation

17.National Forest Martyrs Day

National Forest Martyrs Day is celebrated on 11 September . The day is celebrated to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives to protect the forests and wildlife all over India. This day is celebrated to remember the sacrifices of forest guards, employees and officers. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India had decided to observe 11 September as National Forest Martyrs Day. The day officially came into existence in the year 2013 after it was announced by the Ministry of Environment and Forests.

19.Former Chief Justice of Supreme Court KN Singh passes away

Justice Kamal Narayan (KN) Singh , who was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, passed away in Prayagraj. He was about 96 years old. After completing his law studies in 1949, he joined the profession of advocacy. In 1963 he was appointed as Junior Standing Advocate for the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In 1967, he became the Senior Standing Council. In 1970 he was appointed as the Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh, but three months later, on 25 August 1970, at the age of 43, he became an Additional Judge of the Allahabad High Court. He was elevated to the Supreme Court of India on 10 March 1986 after sitting for more than 15 years on the bench of the Allahabad High Court. On 25 November 1991, he assumed the office of the Chief Justice of India. He retired on 13 December.
