1.With redevelopment of seven government colonies, nearly three times the green area coverage will increase :-

With the redevelopment of seven colonies- Navorji Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Mohammedpur, Srinivaspuri, Kasturba Nagar and Tyagaraj Nagar, the green area coverage will increase three times more green area and the trees will be planted in supplementary form according to 1:10. The tree coverage area will increase. The redevelopment of these seven colonies is being followed in accordance with the environmental standards and concept of Green Building and it is being taken care of that the maximum number of existing trees remain.

In the media, there has been some wrong reports of demolition of trees in terms of redevelopment of these seven government colonies. Such reports are factually incorrect and in order to increase the number of trees, attempts to plant trees in the form of supplementary work and efforts to increase the green area in the redeveloped colonies have been ignored.

 

2.India and Tajikistan agree on mutual cooperation for sustainable water development :-

India and Tajikistan reaffirmed the commitment to progress of bilateral relations and agreed to increase economic cooperation, especially on sustainable water development.

Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation, Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari interacted with the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Mr. Shirozideen Muhardin in Dushanbe during a two-day tour of Central Asia.

 

3.PM will lay the foundation stone of commerce building :-

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for a new office complex ‘Chamber of Commerce’ for the Department of Commerce of the Government of India on June 22 , 2018 . This proposed building situated near India Gate is being constructed on the intersection of the Akbar and Man Singh Road (4.33 acre), which was owned by the Directorate General of Supplies and Disposal (DGS & D).

According to Central Vizeta standards, the area of ​​this building is 19233.745 square meters. About 1,000 officers and employees will be accommodated in this. Keeping the Central VizTa framework, the Commerce Building will have all the facilities with modern technology. It will have a paperless office with state-of-the-art facilities such as smart access control , centralized air conditioning, video conferencing and fully networked systems. This building will be a green building with all the necessary certifications.

 

4.Trump orders to put together migrant families on the Mexican border :-

American President Donald Trump has signed an order to allow the expatriate families kept on the country’s border with Mexico to live together. Mr Trump has made this decision without changing the policy of keeping parents and children enrolled in the US without documentation. He has raised this step in view of the heavy pressure of Republicans, Democrats and the international community.

 

5.Former IPS officer Vijay Kumar becomes advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Governor :-

Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra reviewed the security measures and appointed Vijay Kumar, a former director general of CRPF and a specialist in anti-insurgency operations, to be appointed as an adviser. According to a government release, senior IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, BVR Subramanyam was appointed Chief Secretary instead of Bibi Vyas. Shri Vyas and former IPS officer Vijay Kumar (65) have been appointed the advisor to the Governor. Mr. Kumar is considered an expert in running a counter-insurgency campaign in the jungle. After the governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Ministry approved the names of two advisers. Mr. Kumar, IPS officer of the 1975 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre, has served in the Kashmir Valley as the Inspector General of BSF (IG) in 1998-2001. At that time, BSF was very active in anti-terrorism operations in the valley. Led by Mr. Kumar STF had killed the infamous Chandan Tasker Veerappan in an encounter in October 2004 in Tamil Nadu. Later Mr. Kumar was made the Director General of the CRPF, the world’s largest paramilitary force. After the martyrdom of 75 CRPF personnel in Naxalite attack in Dantewada in Chhattisgarh in 2010, he was made DGP of this force.

7.Canada becomes the second country to legalize the use of Hemp :-

Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudo says that the use of ganja will be valid since October 17 in the country. He said that this step will reduce the organized crime and the youth of the country will be safe. The Parliament of Canada has approved the legislation that validates ganja. Canada will become the second country in the world to legalize the use of cannabis after the law is enforced. Mr. Trudeau says that the provincial and territorial governments need time to prepare for retail sales. They said, we hope that Ganja will be available in the retail market from October 17. Earlier in the year 2013, Uruguay had validated the sale of ganja in its markets.

 

8.Flight will fill flights from small towns, 31 heliports :-

Under the flying scheme, the government will set up 31 heliports in different cities to connect smaller cities with cheap air services. Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu has given this information. He was counting the achievements of the Civil Aviation Ministry after the completion of four years of Modi Government. Mr. Prabhu said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a mantra of ‘All flying, all joining’ four years ago. The impact of that is that the aviation activity in the country has doubled. Earlier, there were 10 million flights per year, and now the number has increased to 20 million. Our airports are competing with the world’s best airports. Many Indian airports have become better Shri Prabhu said that the ‘Flight’ scheme started for providing connectivity to small towns and providing affordable air travel to the common man is being discussed worldwide. Under this, Kanpur, 32 small and medium airports like Jamshedpur have been added. The helicopter services are also being promoted with small planes in the scheme. 31 heliports are being constructed at different places.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will adopt the Allumani villages of Delhi to make Swachh Bharat Mission a holistic success in Indian villages. The IIT Delhi Alumni Association has started a program called ‘Sanitation’, which aims to develop five villages as a model of cleanliness by 2022. Under this, community hygiene system will be developed in villages and in a scientific manner.
