1.Iran Bans Banks From Using Cryptocurrencies :-

As per the central bank of Iran, the ban was necessary since all cryptocurrencies have the capacity to be turned into a means for money-laundering and financing terrorism and in general can be turned into a means for transferring criminals’ money.

 

2.Policy Commission announces launch of Atal New India Challenge  :-

Image result for Shri Nitin GadkariThe Atal Innovation Mission of the Policy Commission today announced the launch of Atal New India Challenges which came into existence after the call for the Prime Minister’s innovations and technologies to make them relevant to the people.

In the function related to launch, Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Chairman, Policy Commission, Union Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Shri S. S. Ahluwalia, Policy Commissioner Shri Amitabh Kant and Mission Director of AIM Shri Ramanathan Ramanan were also present.

 

3.Ministry of Tourism launches 360-degree Virtual Reality (VR) video on Incredible India :-

Describing India as a destination for various experiences, Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) Mr. K.J. “India is a prestigious destination, which offers unique experiences of climate, geography, culture, art, literature and food,” Alfonso said. The Minister also said that the government should bring the people of India and the whole world to our country Wants to give a tremendous opportunity to become engrossed in rich heritage. And through partnership with Google, the government wants to introduce new and world-class people and present them with the theme being engrossed in an unprecedented way.

 

4.Punjab’s humiliating defeat to Hyderabad’s fateful defeat, lost by 13 runs :-

Under the Policy Commission, the Atal Innovation Mission today started the Atal Navbharatp Competition.

Under this competition, a grant of up to Rs one crore will be given for sponsored ideas and sponsored. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that this competition will prove to be milestone for various innovation areas.

 

9.Diu, 1st to Run on 100% Renewable Energy During Daytime :-

Diu Smart City has become the first city in India, that runs on 100% renewable energy during daytime setting a new benchmark for other cities to become clean and green. Diu had been importing 73% of its power from Gujarat until 2017.

To further enhance its solar capacity, Diu offers its residents a subsidy of Rs10, 000-50,000 for installing 1-5KW rooftop solar panels.

 

10.Madras HC, 1st Court in South India to Introduce e-Court Fee Payment Facility :-

Image result for e-Court Fee Payment FacilityThe Madras High Court became the first court in south India and overall eighth in the country to introduce e-court fee payment facility. It was jointly launched by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Chief Justice Indira Banerjee.

The new system will enable litigants who file cases in High Court to pay judicial stamp duty to the government through e-stamps, which can be purchased both online and offline.

 

11.India Wins 8th South Asian Judo Championship :-

India has won 8th South Asian Judo Championship held in Lalitpur, Nepal. On the concluding day of the championship, Indian women and men won team events. Keeping the unbeaten streak, Indian women whitewashed the championship by beating host Nepal in the final of team events.

Indian men also won the team championship. They defeated Pakistan by 3-2 in the final. Earlier Indian women grabbed all 7 gold medals in the individual category while men bagged 3 gold and 3 bronze medals.

India topped the medal tally winning 10 Gold and 3 Bronze medals in the individual category. Host Nepal remained second and Pakistan got third place.
