2 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

More than a thousand research field representatives from 20 countries including Australia, South Korea, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Britain, Germany and Norway will participate in it. This time the conference will be organized in 13 halls. All the halls will be dedicated to various themes including ‘Make in Gujarat’ and ‘Self-reliant India’. About 450 MSME units will also be included in this. The trade show will showcase cutting-edge products and services across various sectors including emerging industries such as electric vehicles, green hydrogen, renewable energy, cyber security, among others.
3 Indra Mani Pandey takes charge as Secretary General of BIMSTEC
Veteran Indian diplomat Indra Mani Pandey took charge as the new Secretary General of seven-member BIMSTEC . Pandey, a 1990 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), was working as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva . Apart from India, BIMSTEC includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan. Pandey took charge at the BIMSTEC Secretariat in Dhaka as its fourth Secretary General.
