1.Prime Minister inaugurated expansion of emergency ambulance service for Sri Lanka through video conferencing from Delhi :-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Sri Lanka is not only a neighboring country but also a very special and trustworthy ally of India in South Asia and the Indian Ocean. While addressing the program related to the expansion of emergency ambulance service for Sri Lanka through video conferencing in New Delhi, Shri Modi said that this is another great achievement in the developmental partnership between India and Sri Lanka.
Unveiling the emergency ambulance service, Prime Minister Modi said that both countries are committed to the shared development of all sections of society. He called this project a big step towards the development experiment between the two countries. The Sri Lankan Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for this project in his utterance and said that there are special relations between the two countries. He also said that both the countries are working on a common development draft for the Tamil-dominated Northern Province.
2.Object and Service Tax Council reduced GST rates on more than 80 items, six items including sanitary napkins, rakhi, GST free :-
The commodity and service tax council has reduced the tax rate of 50 items and sanitary napkins , rakhi , stone , marble , wooden statues and year-olds are exempted from GSAT. In New Delhi on Saturday, 28th G.T. 3.Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency declares former President Zardari and 19 other people in the money laundering case :-
Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency – FIA has declared former President Asif Ali Zardari and 19 other people fugitives in connection with the fraud of Rs 35 billion. According to local media reports, the FIA has named the co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and sister Fariyal of Zardari, his close aide Hussein Laayi and a well-known banker in the document presented in the court on Saturday.
4.Bihar Government initiated reservation in promotions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes employees in their services :-
Bihar Government has started giving reservations to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes employees in promotions in government jobs. Scheduled castes employees will be given 16 percent and one percent reservation for Scheduled Tribes. Following the advice issued by the Central Personnel and Training Department in pursuance of the order of the Supreme Court on a special writ petition on May 17 and the last month, the Bihar government has taken this step.
5.Government launches nationwide program of Student Police Cadet (SPC) to make students responsible citizens :-
Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched the nationwide program of student police cadet-SPC at a function held in Gururgram, Haryana on Saturday. On this occasion Shri Singh expressed hope that this program will promote ethical values in the youth for a long time , which can gradually bring about big change by paying attention to the creation of their character. He said that presently, more emphasis is placed on textbooks in education and less attention is given to the character development of the students , which leads to crime and there is a negative impact on the society.
6.United States Call Center scandal punishes 21 indigenous people :-
In the large scale call center scandal in USA, 21 people of Indian origin have been sentenced to four years to 20 years in prison. Through the call centers of India, hundreds of millions of dollars were cheated from thousands of Americans. In this case, they were found guilty in the same week. American Attorney General Jeff Session said , ” Members of the International Criminal Gang had conspired to cheat the lives of elderly Americans , lawfully living migrants and other people.”
According to US officials , the call center went to the fraud of millions of dollars with the Americans thousands of scams. The people accused in this case had accepted their crime. They had believed that years in the US via phone from India-based call centers during 2012 2016 fraud and their role in money Landing scheme.
7.Play India launches a unique program to develop sports talent: Under the India Pratibha Vikas Yojna, 734 youths were selected for full scholarship :-
After the successful operation of the India School Games, the Sports Authority of India has taken another notable step towards the development of the Games in the very beginning itself and selected 734 players for a scholarship program under the India Talent Identification Development Scheme .
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Colonel Rajywarddhn Singh Rathore said that ” we have made transformational changes in the game. The identity of talent at the beginning is no longer a slogan, but it is now seen in our actions too. ‘
He said that we are developing a sports system that connects local prospects with global forums , which encourages every Indian to make the game a part of their life for entertainment , education or excellence.
8.Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Punjab University appointed Vice Chancellor of Punjab University :-
Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Punjab University Mr. M. Venkaiah Naidu appointed Professor Raj Kumar as the next Vice Chancellor of Punjab University here. Professor Raj Kumar is currently the Head of Deans and Management Studies Institute of Banaras Hindu University.
The current Vice Chancellor of the Punjab University, Mr. Arun Kumar Gover, is being terminated on July 22, 2018. Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of the University of Punjab had formed a selection committee to prepare a panel of three names to select an appropriate name for the post of Vice Chancellor of Punjab University from 27th of June, 2018.
9.Announcement of 10 lakh workers strike from Aug 27 :-
About 10 lakh employees of the state have announced an indefinite strike from August 27 for 13-point demand including promotions, ACP. After giving 45 days time to the Chief Minister’s request, the decision has been taken by Uttarakhand personnel, teachers, outsourced united front and the decision has not been taken.
The meeting was organized in the Officers Club located in Yamuna Colony on Saturday. While addressing the meeting, the Chief Convenor of the United Front, Prahlad Singh said that in the meeting held on June 1, 2018, the government was given 45 days time on the request of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.
