Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Sri Lanka is not only a neighboring country but also a very special and trustworthy ally of India in South Asia and the Indian Ocean. While addressing the program related to the expansion of emergency ambulance service for Sri Lanka through video conferencing in New Delhi, Shri Modi said that this is another great achievement in the developmental partnership between India and Sri Lanka.

Unveiling the emergency ambulance service, Prime Minister Modi said that both countries are committed to the shared development of all sections of society. He called this project a big step towards the development experiment between the two countries. The Sri Lankan Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for this project in his utterance and said that there are special relations between the two countries. He also said that both the countries are working on a common development draft for the Tamil-dominated Northern Province.
