Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  attended   the  ASEAN  -India Summit  in  Jakarta , Indonesia .  Prime Minister arrived in Jakarta early today to attend  the ASEAN-India Summit and  the East Asia Summit .  Addressing the 20th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the India-ASEAN partnership has completed four decades. He said that it was an honor for him to co-chair the conference. The Prime Minister thanked President Joko-Widodo of Indonesia   for hosting the conference. On this occasion, Mr. Modi spoke to Dili  ‘s  Timor  -Leste Announced the opening of the Indian Embassy in. The Prime Minister will also attend the East Asia Summit. This conference is the main conference of the ASEAN-centric mechanism in the Indo-Pacific region. Since its inception in 2005,  the conference has played an important role in providing a platform for discussions on issues of strategic importance to the region.

2 G20: ‘G20 India’ mobile app to provide all information regarding the summit

A mobile app – ‘ G20 India ‘ has been made available  to provide all types of information regarding the G20 Summit . Speaking to the media in New Delhi, G-20 Special Secretary (Operations)  Muktesh Pardeshi  said that this mobile app   is available in ten languages  ​​including  Hindi, German, Japanese and Portuguese  besides  the five official languages ​​of the United Nations . Shri Pardeshi said that information about bilateral talks will be available in this app.

3 Shri Dharmendra Pradhan launches teacher training program-Malavi Mission by University Grants Commission

Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship,  Shri Dharmendra Pradhan  launched   the Teacher Training Program – Malviya Mission  by  the University Grants Commission  at Kaushal Bhawan,  New Delhi . He also inaugurated the portal of the program and released its information brochure. Malaviya Mission – Teacher Training Program organized by the University Grants Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Education aims to provide tailored training programs for teachers. This program will work for capacity building of faculty members in higher educational institutions.

4 ‘Green Hydrogen Pilots in India’ conference organized

 To prepare for the 18th G20 Summit , a one-day conference titled  “ Green Hydrogen Pilots in India ”  was held in New Delhi on September 5, 2023. The event   was organized by NTPC Limited , India’s leading integrated power producer. Various green hydrogen pilot projects undertaken by public and private sector companies across India were highlighted. Participants had the opportunity to explore these projects, gain insight into the future of clean energy, and engage in discussions to address technical challenges, establish local supply chains, and increase techno-economic feasibility.

5 Digital India Experience Zone to be showcased at  G20 Summit

The Digital India Experience Zone  will   be showcased at  the 18th G20 Summit ,  scheduled to be held in New Delhi  on  September 9-10, 2023 . It will showcase India’s achievements in digital transformation and public infrastructure, providing practical experiences. And will provide information about Aadhaar, DigiLocker, UPI and other initiatives. The summit will serve as a culmination of G20 meetings and discussions held throughout the year. The expected outcome of this event is the adoption of the G20 Leaders’ Declaration outlining the commitments made during various ministerial and working group meetings.

6 Air Force and Indian Drone Association to co-host India Drone Shakti- 2023 at Hindon, Uttar Pradesh Ghaziabad from 25 Sep

Air Force  and  Indian Drone Association   will co-host India Drone Shakti – 2023  at  Hindon Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh  from   25  September . The Defense Ministry has said that the use of drones is increasing in the military and civilian sectors in India. The two-day event will showcase the potential of the Indian drone industry with over 50 aerial demonstrations. It will showcase survey, agriculture, firefighting and tactical surveillance drones and see participation from over 75 start-ups and corporates.

7 British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said – Free trade agreement between India and Britain is likely to double trade by 2030.

British  Prime Minister  Rishi Sunak  has said that a modern, forward-looking  free trade agreement   can set India and the UK firmly on the path to their shared ambition of doubling trade by 2030. The first Indian-origin British prime minister said the trade deal could help Indian exporters access the British market. Allaying India’s concerns over the activities of pro-Khalistan supporters in the UK, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said extremism in any form is not acceptable. He said that the right to lawful protest does not mean violent or threatening behaviour.

8 Safe city scheme will be launched in Haryana to ensure the safety of women

Haryana Director General  of  Police Shatrujit Kapoor  said that the Safe City scheme  will be launched  soon   to ensure the safety of women . With this, women will feel completely safe in workplace, educational institutions and public transport. He said that first this scheme will be started in Rohtak and Gurugram. He said that after the success in both the cities, the scheme will be implemented in the entire state.

9 In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan inaugurated the country’s first solar city Sanchi.

 In  Madhya Pradesh , Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan  inaugurated   the country’s first solar city Sanchi . Speaking on the occasion, he said that Sanchi would soon   become a net zero city . Shri Chouhan said that as per the wish of Prime Minister  Narendra Modi,  we have first inaugurated Solar City in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister called upon all the people to plant saplings and make maximum use of renewable energy. He also announced to start irrigation system with solar pump for the farmers. Roof top solar panels have been installed in all institutions like railway station, school, government office, street light, post office in Sanchi. Solar study lamps are also being used in homes.

10 Maharashtra’s Kolhapuri Chappals and Paithani Sarees to be Displayed at Shilp Bazaar at  G-20 Summit

Maharashtra  ‘s  Kolhapuri chappals  and  Paithani sarees on display   during  the G-20 summit in New Delhi  at  Crafts Bazaar Ready to appear in. 11 NPCI launches multiple payment options including interactive transactions on payments platform UPI

National Payments Corporation of India  has launched several payment options including interactive transactions  on   the popular payments platform  UPI . Reserve Bank of India Governor  Shaktikanta Das  announced   this at the Global Fintech Festival  in  Mumbai . The payment features aim to create an inclusive, flexible and sustainable digital payments ecosystem. This will be helpful for UPI in achieving the target of one hundred billion transactions every month. National Payments Corporation of India informed that  it  has partnered with AI-4-India  at  IIT Madras  to jointly develop the model for  Hindi and English languages .

12 UIDAI returns to Global Fintech Fest with theme “Reimagine Aadhaar”

This year  Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)  showcased   its enhanced face authentication feature  powered by  completely indigenously  developed  AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML engine under the theme  “ Reimagining Aadhaar #Authentication ” at the Global Fintech Festival  in  Mumbai . Under the Guidelines 2022, UIDAI has made efforts to rapidly adopt technology and provide even better services to the residents. Industry and fintech partners are being encouraged to collaborate with UIDAI with the larger objective of finding better solutions.  Under this policy, UIDAI has in the last few months asked Airtel Payments Bank to provide better facial authentication facilities. Have worked together with. This was achieved through both teams working together to capture facial photographs in low light conditions while strengthening fraud detection and prevention mechanisms. Partner use-cases such as attendance system for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA) beneficiaries and customer acquisition process by banks were also demonstrated.

13 IMD sets up additional automated weather station at G-20 summit venue for weather forecasting

 In view of  the G-20 summit  in  New Delhi , the Meteorological Department  is monitoring the weather 24 hours . The Meteorological Department is issuing weather forecast for various places in Delhi. Weather information will be available on the webpage on the website of the Meteorological Department. In addition to the existing  AWS  network of the Meteorological Department, one more  Automatic Weather System has been installed near the venue of the G-20 Summit. It provides daily maximum and minimum temperature along with latest information on temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction and rainfall at 15 minute intervals. Similar weather updates for nine major locations of Delhi including historical places and major tourist spots – Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi Railway Station, Chandni Chowk, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Delhi University and Lodhi Will be available at places like Road.

14 Government approves initial outlay of approximately Rs 9,400 crore for development of battery energy storage scheme

Government has   approved  the Government Assistance Scheme for the development of  Battery Electricity Storage Scheme (BESS)  .  After the Cabinet meeting in  New Delhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur  said that the scheme   envisages 4000 MW of electricity by 2030-31   with financial assistance of up to 40 percent.Has been done. This will be provided as budgetary support. He said that its initial outlay is approximately Rs 9,400 crore which includes budgetary support of Rs 3,760 crore. Shri Thakur said that under the Government Assistance Scheme, five installments will be distributed in different phases for the implementation of BESS projects. He said that to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the consumers, a minimum of 85 percent of the project will be made available to distribution companies (discoms).

15 Electricity use in irrigation sector increased in India: 6th edition report of MIC

 The recently published sixth edition of the Minor Irrigation Census (MIC) report  provides important insights into the power sources employed in Indian irrigation. The MIC highlights a significant change in the primary energy source for irrigation in India, with electricity as the focal point. In 2011, electricity was the main energy source for 56% irrigation, this figure increased to 70% by 2017. However, these findings are specific to the period 2017-18 and do not provide an accurate representation of the current state of irrigation practices.

16 Trishul Exercise of Indian Air Force Tested for Western Air Command Readiness

 The Indian Air Force  (IAF)  began its annual mega training exercise, Trishul  , with the activation of all combat vehicles under  the Western Air Command (WAC) . The international exercise   involved a wide array of frontline combat vehicles including jets, transport aircraft and helicopters  deployed  from Leh in Kashmir to Nal in Rajasthan . Trishul serves as a significant test of the command’s operational preparedness, requiring a high level of coordination and readiness due to its scale and complexity.

17 Israeli Prime Minister proposes fiber optic link to connect Europe with Asia and the Middle East

Israel  ‘s Prime Minister  has proposed  a fiber optic cable project to connect Asia and the Arabian Peninsula to Europe through Israel and Cyprus. This highlights that fiber optic connections serve as a cost-effective and secure route for international communications. The proposal would boost Israel’s cooperation with Cyprus and Greece on energy projects, such as the EurAsia Interconnector, a 2,000 MW undersea power cable project. It also includes plans for energy diversification, including gas pipelines and liquefied natural gas processing plants, to strengthen the Eastern Mediterranean Basin’s ties with Europe.

19 India Post and Shiprocket partner to strengthen e-commerce export ecosystem

20 REC signs USD 100 million foreign currency term loan agreement with EXIM Bank

REC Limited,  a  Maharatna   Central Public Sector Undertaking under  the Ministry of Power,  has signed a foreign currency term loan agreement of US$ 100 million  with  the Export Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) . It can be used to facilitate refinance for import of capital equipment by borrowers in the power, infrastructure and logistics sectors of REC.  Will be done. This debt will be raised as a part of REC’s Rs 1.20 lakh crore market borrowing program for 2023-24. This will be the first term loan extended by Exim Bank to REC. This loan will be given for a period of 5 years and interest will be charged as per SOFR (Secured Overnight Finance Rate). This rate is the benchmark rate for loans in US dollars.

21 India won bronze medal in  Asian Table Tennis Championship

India   has won  the bronze medal  in  the Asian Table Tennis Championship  held in   Pyongyang  , Korea . The team of Sharad Kamal, Harmeet Desai and Sathiyan Ganasekharan  lost 0-3 to Chinese Taipei in the last four. Bronze medals are awarded to the losing teams in the semi-finals.
