1.Prime Minister’s appeal for cooperation with the Opposition for the simultaneous elections :-

After the President’s address in the budget session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded in the Rajya Sabha after giving a vote of thanks in the Lok Sabha. In the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Modi, responding to the discussion on the thanks motion, said that there should be elections in the country as there are obstacles to the elections due to repeated elections. 

He said that we are always ready for suggestions , feedback and input , because we all work only for this country and for the poor. He claimed that his government is ‘ Am Chaser (pursuing the goal and achieving it). ” He said that we have set a goal and work to complete it on time.

 

2.The main theme of discussion with UAE leaders will be energy security and investment in the infrastructure sector – Prime Minister Modi :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that investments in infrastructure sector from India’s energy security and the UAE sector (UAE) will be the main topic of discussion with the leaders of the Gulf countries. 

Before the two-day visit to the UAE ” Gulf News Express ” in an interview with Mr. Modi said that Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mktum , Vice-President of the UAE and ruler of the Prime Minister and Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , Abu Dhabi Shahjade and UAE will meet the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces He said that energy security and infrastructural investment in India will be the main subject, which will be discussed with the leadership of the United Arab Emirates. 

Investing in India from United Arab Emirates 11Has crossed the billion dollar. 

The Prime Minister highlighted that there are more than three million people of Indian origin in the United Arab Emirates . The Prime Minister said that the Indian community has worked in the bridge between the two countries. He hoped that this visit will further strengthen these relations.

 

3.US has declared three Pakistani terrorists Global Terrorist, accused of being linked to LeT and Taliban :-

The Donald Trump Administration has termed three Pakistanis as global terrorists. The US has said the reason, saying that doing so would help in breaking the network supporting terrorists in South Asia. 

US Department of Treasury, Rehman Jab Fakir Muhammad ,Hezbulla has been termed as the Global Terrorist by Aadam Khan and Dilawar Khan Nadir Khan. After declaring these three terrorists a Global Terrorist, America can block the entire three properties of America. Any American citizen will be able to stop any kind of transactions with these three. Segel Mandelker, Under Secretary of Treasury and Financial Intelligence of Treasury Department, said that America is constantly bringing out the names of those who support terrorist organizations and are operating in the financial network incorrectly in South Asia. 

Siegel said that the three people were providing various supports including Al Qaeda , Lashkar-e-Taiba , Taliban and other terrorist groups, including logistical support and improvised explosive devices.

 

4.External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj meets Saudi Shah Salman, discussions on promoting mutual relations :-

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met Saudi Arabia’s Salman bin Abdul Aziz on his first visit to Saudi Arabia and discussed steps to further strengthen bilateral strategic partnership in all areas and cooperation in each other’s progress.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar tweeted , ” The steps to further strengthen our strategic partnership in all areas and work together for progress of each other were discussed. ” Earlier, Mrs Swaraj met her Saudi counterpart Adel Al-Zubber. 

During this time discussions were taken to increase bilateral relations in the field of trade , energy , defense and security. Mr. Kumar said that the discussions between the two leaders have increased with the increase in trade and investment ,Defense , security and connectivity to people level focusing on and strengthening. 

He said that both the leaders also discussed regional and global situations. Adel hosted lunch in honor of Mrs Swaraj. In Saudi Arabia , 30 in more than one million people live in the past few years, especially Modi April 20l6 are growing relationship between the two countries after the historic visit to the Gulf country. 

After China , America and the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia is the fourth largest trading partner of India.

 

5.Bangladeshi opposition leader Khaleda Zia gets five years in jail for corruption :-

Bangladeshi opposition leader Khaleda Zia has been sentenced to five years in jail for corruption. The corruption case was going on in the Dhaka court from 2008 against former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and her son. During the sentence, Khaleda Zia was present in the court. 

The high alert has been declared before the sentence was pronounced and security arrangements have been tightened there. 1000 party workers of his party BNP has been arrested. The case was registered in 2008 in the orphanage trust on Khaleda Jia for corruption. 

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had filed a lawsuit against Khaleda, her son Tariq Rehman and four others for allegedly misappropriating 2.1 crore tanks. In the matter, in the final hearing on the petition filed in 2008 against the decision given by the High Court, Judge M. Enayetur Rahim and Judge Shaheedul Karim pass this order. 

Khaleda, prime minister of Bangladesh from 2001 to 2006, is accused in 37 cases. However, he has got bail in all the cases.

 

6.Approval of the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Research Fellows Scheme for Meritorious Students :-

The Union Cabinet has approved the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Research Fellows Scheme. This plan will be for 2018-19 to seven years and it will cost a thousand 650 crores. Year 2018-19 went to the announcement of the scheme in the Union Budget. 

Under this scheme, promising students will be directly admitted to the IIT and IISc PhD program in IIT and IIT or IIT or NIT or IISER or Triple IT holders for B.Tech or integrated Amtac or MSc science in their science and technology category. 

For such students who have completed the prescribed qualification and have been listed through the selected process, during the first two years under the Prime Minister’s Research Fellows Guidelines, Rs. 70 thousand per month , third year per month75 thousand rupees and in the last two years 80 thousand rupees will be given. 

Apart from this, two lakh rupees will be given in the form of a research grant during the five-year period, including international conferences including foreign travel expenses and submission of a paper in the seminar. 

Maximum 3 thousand Fellows will be selected for this year with three years.

 

7.13-member advisory committee constituted for capital acquisition project for modernization of Armed Forces :-

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has constituted a Consultative Committee of 13 members to monitor and accelerate the capital acquisition projects for modernization of the Armed Forces . 

The Ministry has said in a statement that this committee will conduct an unbiased review of the status of important ongoing projects costing more than Rs. 500 crores and will monitor the situation and suggest remedial measures for the capital acquisition process. 

Former secretary of the central government, Vinayil Oberoi will be the chairman of this committee.

 

8.Supreme Court orders repeal of iron ore mining lease for 88 companies in Goa :-

The Supreme Court canceled the order for 88 companies in Goa for the second time in the extension of the period of lease of iron ore in 2015 . 

The Supreme Court has asked the Center and the Goa government to give lease new environmental clearance. Justice Madan B. Lokur and Deepak Gupta’s bench has given time to the strap holders, saying that mining work can be continued till March 15 this year .
