1.Immediately end the siege of Yemen: Saudi Arabia-led coalition army: UN agency :-

Three United Nations agencies have urged the forces of the Alliance of the Saudi Arabia to immediately end their siege of Yemen. World Health Organization, World Food Organization and UNICEF have said that due to the closure of rebels-held ports, the worst conditions are already worsening nowadays. These agencies have warned that thousands of people will die due to non-availability of food items and health supplies. There is a massive outbreak of cholera in Yemen, from which about one lakh people have fallen sick and more than two thousand people have died.

 

2.Prime Minister reviewed progress of key infrastructure sectors :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the progress of major infrastructure sectors including housing, coal, electricity and rural road planning on Thursday. In the review meeting of about two and a half hours, the top officials of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Policy Commission and the central government’s infrastructural ministries participated.

In the presentation of the Chief Executive Officer of the Policy Commission, there was a strong progress in many areas. In the review meeting, the officials said that 81 percent of the total number of about one lakh 45 thousand habitations have been added to the roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana and the work of linking the remaining settlements within the stipulated time is in progress.

 

3.NGT lifted ban on construction, permission for entry of trucks in Delhi :-

The National Green Tribunal on Friday lifted the ban on construction works in the National Capital Region, Delhi and allowed entry of trucks, though the Tribunal also asked to keep a close eye on their operations. But tribunal refused to ban the ban on industrial activities that spread pollution in Delhi and NCR. Tribunal gave permission for construction work on the East-External-Expressway with the condition that pollution should not be spread by these. Tribunal has also asked Delhi Government to identify the most affected areas by polluting the water and sprinkle water.

The President of the Tribunal, Justice Swatan Kumar, said to continue the implementation of the guidelines regarding the emissions of factories and pollution caused by the burning of crops and pollution of crops. Tribunal has asked to present its work plan in two weeks from neighboring states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to reduce pollution. The bench is going to hear on the second petition of the Delhi Government on the implementation of the second equitable scheme in Delhi today.

 

4.Metur dam in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district opened for irrigation :-

Metur dam in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district was opened for irrigation on Friday. After receiving formal instructions from the Chief Minister, three state ministers started traditional irrigation from the dam. This will enable irrigation of about 45 thousand acres of agricultural land in Salem, Namakkal and Erode districts of the state. In the first phase, about three hundred cubic water will be released, and after that it will increase to midnight by 1 thousand Qusz. The Matur Dam is opened four times a year for irrigation. With the decrease in water level in the dam, there was a delay of three months to release water this year.

 

5.Indian biascope this year included in the International Film Festival :-

 

This year, the Bioscope village has been included in the International Film Festival of Goa beginning on Monday in Panaji, Goa. Through this, the participation of local film viewers in Goa will be increased in the film festival.

The bioscope village will be open to all by November 21 to 27.

50 / – admission fee for all in the bioscope village. The facility of showing movies to the common people in the village of New Age cinema theme. In this village, new and old films will also be shown with children’s films. Special sessions will be organized to discuss various forms of filmmaking. A short film competition has also been held in the bioscope village, which is the theme – Iffi as Never Seen Beefor, an unprecedented film festival. 6.Strong rupee against dollar  :-

After the news of India’s global credit rating rising, the rupee gained against the dollar in the inter-bank foreign exchange market. After the afternoon, the rupee had gained 38 paise in the currency market and a dollar was sold for 64 rupees and 94 paise.

The Bombay Stock Exchange also remained strong in today. In the third quarter, the Sensex had gained more than 300 points in the index. National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also registered a gain of more than one hundred points.

 

7.Rafal planes are not being bought by more value: BS Dhanova :-

Indian Air Force has said that the purchase of Rafal planes is not being done by paying more. The government has done a great deal to buy these fighter planes from France. Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanova said that the government has made a deal to buy 36 Rafal aircraft at a price less than the price given in the contract. Mr. Dhanova told this to the media at the Adampur Air Force Center near Jalandhar yesterday, stating it was an agreement between the two governments that 36 fighter aircraft were getting available at the price fixed after the Indian Air Force after much deliberation.

 

8.NTPC will purchase crops worth Rs.5000 / – per ton :-

Power Minister RK Singh has said that the government company will issue tenders for purchase of Parali Parli from National Thermal Power Corporation-NTPC farmers at a cost of Rs 5000 per tonne. This Parali will be used in the power plants of NTPC.

Shri Singh said that with this initiative, farmers can earn 11 thousand rupees per acre by selling their farmland. He said that this will motivate farmers not to burn away.

Significantly, the burning of Parli in Delhi and surrounding areas is the main reason for air pollution.

 

9.Match had to be stopped due to rain :-

In the Eden Gardens of Kolkata, the second day of the first cricket Test between India and Sri Lanka had to be stopped due to rain also on Friday. India scored 74 runs for five wickets in the first innings at 17 for three at the time of lunch break, ahead of three wickets. Cheteshwar Pujara (47) and Riddhiman Shah (6) were the only ones to score.

PV Sindhu reached the quarterfinals of the China Open Super Series Premier Badminton Tournament. On Friday, he will be up against Guy Fengji of China. Indu defeated Han Yui of China in the pre-quarterfinals on Thursday. Earlier, Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy were out of the tournament losing their respective matches.
