1.Raja Shah became the first Indian American to address reporters during the Air Force Air Tour :-

Raj Shah, who holds an important position in the US White House, became the first Indian American to address reporters during a visit to the Presidential Air Force Air Force One.

Shah talked to reporters in the plane. U.S. President Donald Trump had appointed him the principal deputy press secretary in September. Trump has gone to the middle class to give an important lecture on relief and business tax relief, and Shah also accompanied him on the plane.

2.Prime Minister will inaugurate the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit :-

3.Bombay Stock Exchange :-

The BSE Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange fell by nearly 300 points in the afternoon trade and was shortly thereafter 33 thousand 319. It was open at 33 thousand 417 with a fall of 185 points in the morning. The Nifty also dropped 87 points to 10 thousand 274.

In the foreign exchange market, the rupee fell 13 paise against the dollar. A dollar 64 rupee was spoken 44 paise.

 

4.Need to make India its infrastructure in the coming two decades to become a developed economy – Finance Minister :-

Addressing the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley has said that achieving the figure of 10 per cent growth rate is challenging and apart from domestic factors, it will depend on what direction the global economy is going in.

Shri Jaitley said that there are measures to improve systematic in India and each improvement has a special significance. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that India needs to upgrade its infrastructure in the coming two decades to become a developed economy.

At the Defense Estates Festival in New Delhi, Shri Jaitley said that the infrastructure can not be prepared all night – the need for funds for better structure. He said that tax evasion is obstructing the development of the country and the government is constantly making efforts to improve the tax system.

 

5.The stock market has broken 9-day fast :-

The stock market has broken 9-day fast. The Sensex fell 180 points to 33420 and the Nifty was trading 5800 after breaking 58 points. In today’s early business, banking stocks are under tremendous pressure.

The Bank Nifty is trading 0.61 per cent down and trading around 25635. On the other hand, pressure is also seen in Asian markets.

6.President Barack Obama congratulated Meerabai Chanu for winning gold medal :-

President Ramnath Kovind congratulated Meerabai Chanu for winning the gold medal.

In a tweet message Mr. Kovind said that India is proud of Chanu. He also congratulated Manipur for giving the country many champion women players.

 

7.BWF has decided to launch an experimental service rule with the All England Open Championships next year :-

To deal with the suspicious decisions of the service judges, the World Badminton Federation (BWF) has decided to launch an experimental service rule from the All England Open Championships next year.

After criticism by the players and coaches of controversial decisions of service judges, BWF will now start this experiment in prestigious tournaments, which includes BWF Thomas and Uber Cup finals to be held in Bangkok next year and BWF World Championships in Nanjing.

The BWF Council recently made several decisions in the meeting in Montego Bay, Jamaica, which included the implementation of this rule. In order to implement this rule, the proposed changes in badminton rules will be kept in the BWF annual general meeting in May.
